Trouble is they can neither carry guns nor be privy to intelligence. As usual Harry wants it all.

I haven't read the 15 pages but you can hire your own security. Lots of the aristos where I live have hired security who they pay an annual salary to. It can't be that unusual if the likes of me knows about it
Hear hear Jabberwok.
One things for certain, they have become one of the most boring irrelevant couple on earth. Groan groan, here we go again! Why can't they get on with their lives, accept things as they are,( their choice) and stop being so tedious.

He wants to get on that balcony in June
Exactly ... in order to raise his image in the US and on Netflix.
And if he isn't on the balcony on June, it will still feature in their marketing on Netflix as "the balcony we were excluded from by Harry's family"
Their "unique marketing strategy" is their royal connection and how cruelly they were cast forth out of the Eden they hated so much (and which they rejected to make their own life for themselves as non-royal private citizens). Whether they succeed in being the only individuals to book the Met as their personal protectors, are "forced" to make do with the same commercial agencies that all other millionaire private citizens use, or decide to stay in the USA, it will all be grist to the mill as their PR team turn it into publicity.
I suspect there will be more issues like this from Harry until the book what he has wrote (with an awful lot of help from his friends) is published, because he has little to sell apart from his connections with the royal family.

I have tried to follow this thread but it has:
a) repeated the same comments for 14 pages
b) turned into a gossip-fest of the worst kind with malicious speculation and accusations.
It must be true that old ladies have nothing better to do than gossip about other people!
I agree with your comment about repetition chestnut, but maybe lots of posters are of the same opinion and just want to add their voice.
As for gossip, there is plenty of that about Carrie Johnson for example on political threads. In fact quite often posters on the political thread will mock something they read on a M & H thread on page 8 or 9, so ironically they are lurking and actually reading all 14 pages!

I was being ironic, and clarified that to make sure no gullible reader would start repeating it.
The posters coming on repeating unconfirmed gossip are the ones posting in bad taste in my view.
My words to Harry would be maybe read the small print on contacts you sign. You can’t sigh something then expect it to change because you want it to. Instead of stressing our queen and being selfish brat after all you have put her through in last two years

Incidentally I’m not defending Andrew. Whilst I don’t know the facts anymore than anyone else, if he is guilty of what he has been accused of, then I feel utter contempt for him. But what I’m expressing is not gossip, nor malicious speculation. I’m expressing an opinion, much as others have done about Harry and Meghan.
We know that Harry is seeking a judicial review over his request to buy the services of a protection team whilst he is in the UK. This is not gossip, nor is it malicious speculation. It is a fact.
We also know that these services are not available to be bought by individuals. This is not gossip, nor is it malicious speculation. It is a fact.
Posters have a right to discuss any topic that they wish to discuss. Why do some posters wish to close down threads that are about Harry and Meghan?
Any discussion about Prince Andrew is most certainly speculation because we don’t fully know what happened yet, but posters don’t seem to be accused of gossip and malicious speculation when he is mentioned.

Well you’re here too. Could say the very same about any other threads that like to gossip, spread rumours, without any proof whatsoever.

If he wants to see his mates I think they have enough bedrooms to put them up in the US.
Yes, but the backdrop and scenery in USA would be pretty one dimensional for the Netflix movie compared with the balcony, the Mall, the crowds, the pageantry which must be included in the shoots.
Ooops photographic shoots, nothing else meant!

^a very reliable source' ie 'my cousin's neighbour's cousin went to school with someone who uses the same dry cleaner as Carol Middleton' s sister^.
Well someone has to use the same dry cleaner as Carole Middleton's sister, though I thought she only had asomewhat colourfulbrother?
Well I know for an absolute fact that she has 3 illegitimate sisters, all fathered by Elvis Presley. In fact, if you look at Kate from a certain angle and then compare her to photos of Lisa Marie....
(that's a joke before anyone starts spreading rumours)
What I don’t understand , they live in one of the most dangerous countries in the Western world, where gun crime and the selling of guns is endemic. Hence the recent hostage taking. Yet this man wants personal protection for his family as he doesn’t feel safe in the country of his birth. . What. Recent comments by former girlfriends have stated his paranoia about personal security was rife. So why choose a gun toting country to live in.If they must come, they can be flown to Windsor by chopper, at his expense, see his , much berated by them, Grandmother, then fly back to Heathrow and away. Oh no he wants security to be able to visit privately his money making business mates. Very pleased to hear the Queen won’t get involved.
Yes I agree Annie but I believe it’s not possible for individuals to hire protection, only as you say, for crowd control.
