I would find grown ups play fighting in a supermarket really childish and annoying. Maybe she whacked on of them and was being charged with assault. grin

Not if you’re shoving goods into secretive pockets, many ‘professional’ shoplifters are adept at avoiding cameras.

Our local Waitrose has a security chap wandering around just keeping an eye on what’s going on. Maybe the two people play fighting were causing a distraction while the lady with trolley helped herself.

I would think to be caught shoplifting you’d need to have taken goods outside the shop without paying? Sounds an odd incident!

I was in Waitrose this morning and witnessed an odd thing. In one of the grocery aisles was a young couple who seemed to be playfighting and blocking the way. Just in front of me was a woman with a partially loaded trolley. When she reached the couple she turned around and I followed down the next aisle. After about five minutes I saw her being marched down to the back of the store accompanied by the two people and some shop staff.

Was this a deliberate ploy to catch some shoplifting - if so, it seems rather elaborate after, all, security cameras are there?
