I have always used Aussie volume. I’ve tried more expensive brands but always go back to it - it leaves my hair a lot fuller and shinier. I don’t use a hairdryer often as it dries out my hair even more - I use a Zero Heat cream (from the salon or Vo5) rub a bit in my hands and just scrunch it a bit so it’s a bit tousled. Gets rid of all the frizz.

Thank you both geekesse and CanadianGran smile

I never heard of a conditioner only wash before...

I love Moroccan oil Hydrating mask; the one in the tub. It smells heavenly and you don't need very much. I only wash 3 times a week, and don't use heated straightener or curler, so may hair is in pretty good shape.

I've had mine short for a few years, but was thinking of going longer again.

This is what it looks like 6 days after the last conditioner-only wash.

I wash using silicone-free conditioner only, no shampoo at all. It keeps my (now very grey) hair shiny and in good condition..

I use a few drops of argan oil rubbed on my hands and then run through my hair. ItI buy mine in Waitrose, but it is fairly generally available in places like Boots and Superdrug.

My hairdresser told me that I was using too much conditioner and only to use it on the ends every other wash.
I found a coconut bar shampoo for a pound on the bottom shelf in Savers and it's fantastic. No need for conditioner at all.
Another tip is to alternate shampoos so I use Superdrug purple shampoo too.

Thank you crazyH

A friend has just told me Dove shampoo and conditioner is a good 1.

Good grief, this is all new to me ( dry hair ) we take sooooo much for granted, THEN when things go wayward we reflect how wonderful it WAS.

I HAD the glossiest and thickest of dark shiny hair. The Aussie shampoos are good for dry hair. I know using straighteners is not favoured a lot, however, I find that it does smoothen my hair and gives it a sheen.
Also, Vitapointe is good, but mainly for the hair tips

I wash, dry, style my hair and week after week after week I've taken on board the fact that beside it falling out !!! ( menopause) its dry.

Normally i have greasy hair ( well i did, at the roots ) i used to wash it every 2,3 days, anyway my point is that NOW, for the first time in its existence, it needs TLC...

This is where i cry HELLLLLLP...

What suggestions can PLEASE offer to a girl ( WE'RE ALLLLLLL GIRLS, RIGHT ?? ) whose hair and skin is changing before her very eyes ( .... and THOSE are going wayward too !!)
