I applied online for a replacement driving licence on Wednesday - the new one arrived this morning!

Wow that is very quick. I know Dh had his quickly after applying on line but probably took a week or so.

My husband applied two months ago and hasn't had it yet.

Mine arrived after 48 hours, I was expecting a wait. The online application system has certainly speeded things up, and because I’d recently renewed my passport online I didn’t even have to provide a new photo. If you have a verified Government Gateway ID it makes these things easier.

Thank you. We've been trying
He applied online. It didn't arrive so after much ado, he had a reply. They said he had to do a postal application too. He did so but still nothing. I think as you say *Ali08' it may be stuck or lost. Well done to all of you!

Kate contact them through Twitter, it was the only way we got my husband's out of them after 5 months!

Thanks. He's wondering if they do it in date order. He doesn't need it until March.

Any more ideas anyone? DH still hasn't had his licence. We have been ringing and get this message every single time 'Thank you for contacting DVLA. All our lines are busy. Please try later. Goodbye'. We're not in Twitter or anything. He's getting a bit anxious now.
