Been discussed before, I know, but in the DT today, it seems that support for this to be the Duchess of Cornwall’s title in the fullness of time is ever more likely.

I, for one, would be pleased to see this happen. Princess Consort would be a silly title for the wife of the King.

I have never thought Charles will allow his beloved wife to hold an inferior title.

Anniebach over the years I have read your posts denigrating Diana over and over again. It's quite clear that Charles was in a relationship with Camilla when he married Diana. That's indubitably unpleasant. She was obviously very deeply unhappy and psychologically disturbed at times. Life in the Royal Family without a partner on your side must have been lonely and confusing for a not very bright girl with limited life experience.
As she grew older it's not surprising that she sought solace elsewhere - after all , Charles did.

Aveline that is not true, but the constant attacks on Camilla
which are based on lies is so wrong. I gave up trying to have a
discussion on the three involved , no one wants to, they just want to make Diana the victim whilst Charles and Camilla are
devils incarnate.

Anniebach you've always had it in for Diana. Hard to understand your attitude.

Why is a horrible comment ? The night before the wedding
she was heard singing‘tomorrow I will be the princess of Wales,
why did she meet him on a shoot when she hated shoots

Germanshepherdsmum Thu 10-Feb-22 15:39:41

From what my shooting friend told me, Annie is correct.

Horrible comment

Diana achieved her goal, the title came with the man so she had to get that ring on her finger

Daisend1 Thu 10-Feb-22 14:38:00

Sarnia.
There was was never to be any thing other than would be .
Hadn't the House of Windsor achieved their goal many years before when Princess Diana given them an heir and spare ?
After all what's in a title in comparison.?

Wrong Lucca but keep stirring

Lucca Thu 10-Feb-22 14:02:18

Wow Annie you really have it in for Diana . What did she ever do to you ?!

Sparklefizz Thu 10-Feb-22 13:58:05

Lucca

Anniebach

Camilla isn’t socially acceptable but Diana was , doubt
Mrs Manakee, Mrs. Carling, Mrs.Hoare thought so

And again and again and again

I was just thinking the same, Lucca.

Anniebach Thu 10-Feb-22 13:53:15

Yes again, if affairs are spoken of why not ?

Lucca Thu 10-Feb-22 13:52:32

I went to a garden party at Buckingham palace too… in 1975 or thereabouts. I wore a Laura Ashley straw hat with white and green flowers on it.

Yes I could have Annie.

Anniebach Thu 10-Feb-22 13:20:25

It’s interesting Kate and you said it was pre Camilla , if it had
been later you could tell us you were in the palace gardens with
the future Queen consort

Kate1949 Thu 10-Feb-22 13:09:23

Annie. Not very large! I did wear a hat with a bit of a brim but only from Marks & Spencer. We had a lovely day wandering around, listening to the Band of the Coldstream Guards (as I recall ) playing, being served tubs of ice cream after our sandwiches and cakes. Seeing the Queen etc. That is until the heavens opened and there was a terrible storm and they had to let us into the palace! I think this is a tale for a different thread.

Anniebach Thu 10-Feb-22 13:03:02

Kate did you wear a large hat ?

Kate1949 Thu 10-Feb-22 12:38:50

It was GSM. Little old me from the back streets of Birmingham eating chocolate cake and sipping tea in the Queen's garden!

Germanshepherdsmum Thu 10-Feb-22 12:36:28

I don’t think so either Annie.

Germanshepherdsmum Thu 10-Feb-22 12:35:42

Oooh Kate! How wonderful!

I accepted my invite to a garden party at Buckingham Palace but it was pre Camilla and I certainly would have post Camilla.
I went to enjoy the day and a once in a lifetime experience.

Germanshepherdsmum Thu 10-Feb-22 12:21:34

I can’t believe that this is the 21st century. Not ‘socially acceptable’? I wonder how many on GN you would deem ‘socially acceptable’? Obviously if you’re ever invited to a function at which either of these unacceptable people are present, a Garden Party for instance, you will graciously decline.

Anniebach Thu 10-Feb-22 12:15:15

Camilla did not break up a marriage
