That’s rude to talk about the waitress like that callestamon

Whitewave and Kitty, I’m supposed to be dieting, you’re not helping.
I’d give my eye teeth for a jam and cream scone.

Well the butter was not nice, so that would help. And, whitewave could throw it all over the floor before you got to it. grin

Strawberry jam or cheese. Heaven!

Butter, jam (not strawberry) then plenty of cream.

That's living alright.

How do you have time to go on GN with luscious scones and jam in front of you? (I’m not keen on cream.)

I’m not either, Getmanshepherdsmu . A no-cream tea would be my choice. Or cheese scones with plenty of salted butter, but not like the one I had in a NT caff - if it had even been shown a bit of cheese, that must have been it.

Oh I don’t believe it??? look at what I’ve just posted - hope the same doesn’t happen to you!

Mine GF was separate cream and jam because we mustn’t share as it might contaminate out GF stuff.

I've just commented on yours. All the best people are having afternoon tea today.

We were in our hotel room as DH's team was on the tv (they won!!!!)

Mine was totally separate too but I stole some of dh's butter. I like my butter with gluten.

kittylester Sun 06-Feb-22 17:54:40

Oh, I'd scoffed the tea first.

Being gf means I rarely get the opportunity so I go all out - provided the butter isn't gf. grin

Callistemon21 Sun 06-Feb-22 17:48:34

Ps I never have butter, jam and cream

Callistemon21 Sun 06-Feb-22 17:47:55

GF butter - who knew!? ?
Do they understand what gluten-free means?

kittylester Sun 06-Feb-22 16:41:51

Well, the gf butter was definitely not up to scratch so it was only jam and (lots) of cream.

Who knew?

Callistemon21 Sun 06-Feb-22 16:28:35

Nooooooo

I know I lived in Devon for years but a cream tea has to be the
Cornish way!

Josieann Sun 06-Feb-22 16:26:58

grin
Cream first, by the way!

Callistemon21 Sun 06-Feb-22 16:22:08

Does the cow know?
What about the jam?

Have a lovely time, kittylester
Hope the gf scone is good as well.

At the moment, we are in a(n) hotel enjoying a complementary cream tea. My scone is gluten free and so, I am reliably informed, is the butter but not the cream.
