Good morning from East Yorkshire. It is just getting light with a peachy coloured sky out of our back window. It feels chilly though.
We had a lovely lunch out yesterday celebrating our DS’s birthday. It was at a place we haven’t tried in the past but is a only short walk away in the village. The Sunday lunch was delicious and will go back again. The ladies toilets are quite quirky in that they have aeroplane seats and a (fake) window in them. When GS heard this he wanted to go in when Mummy went!
Housework for me today , I might have a quick trip to Aldi and a phone call catch up with my dad.

Take care everyone.

Good morning from Essex by the sea where the very strong winds of yesterday seem to have abated.
We are off to a hotel near Southwold today for a short break. Hopefully stopping at Snape Maltings on the way.
DD1 and family went to see the musical Frozen yesterday and apparently my 6 year old DGD cried when they left the theatre as she didn't want it to end ?.
Have the best Monday you can everyone and take care xx

Good morning everyone from a still dark and damp Northampton. Up early this morning, as it is yoga today; my friend who gives me a lift is recovered from covid, so I would like to be on time for her.

An excellent day was had by all yesterday on our outing to London! My first train journey for nearly three years, then on the underground to Piccadilly. Dashing young men offered me their seats on the tube - that didn't happen when I lived in London in the late sixties! Mind you, I realised I couldn't skip up and down the stairs and escalators like I did in my early 20s....when I had to get overground train, tube and then a bus to get to work.

After a good lunch (and wine) in Soho we headed to the theatre to see 'Pride and Prejudice* (sort of*)'. Five young actresses performed their comic version of the story, and it was excellent. We all enjoyed the day out so much, and are thinking of repeating the experience.

Must get a few jobs done after yoga, get some washing on, and change the bed. Then settle down this afternoon and catch up with the weekend newspapers.

Have a good Monday everyone.

Good morning, all from a calmer Torbay, thankfully. Yesterday, a particularly strong gust nearly knocked me over as I walked home from church!

Wordle seems to have taken the world by storm, Mick! Several friends on Facebook are hooked. It led me to download the Scrabble app so I play against the iPad! I have to smile when it says “The iPad is thinking!”

I have a confession to make about yesterday’s post. In order to comment on the previous day’s GM thread, I have it open on my phone whilst typing on here. I felt it was only fair to explain that I do that occasionally.

This morning, I must go to the surgery to use their pod to measure my height, weight and BP. Then back home so the practice nurse can ring me at 4.20 p.m. to review my HRT. How crazy is that? Annoyingly, that falls at the time I normally have a Zoom call with DH. But I dare not cancel it, even though those statistics were recorded at the hospital on Friday and I can measure them at home. Sigh.

Sorry to moan but I start to wonder for whose convenience all this is. Others here have more cause to be downhearted. Your description of the morning conjured up a beautiful picture, grandMattie. I do hope the vertigo has receded, Gagagran; very disorientating.

Have a good day, everyone, especially those going through difficult times. ?????

Morning Mattie!

Good Morning everyone from a frosty south coast. 0.1c at 6am but set for more sunshine this morning.

I had a difficult day yesterday when I woke up with vertigo. Walking like a drunken sailor so spent most of the day as still as possible in a comfy chair. DH earned a gold star by providing refreshment as needed. I have an implant in one ear and used to suffer from vertigo a lot when I first had it but only rarely since. It feels a bit easier today so fingers crossed that continues otherwise I shall need to try and get a GP appointment.

Take care everyone and have the best day you can. sunshine

Good morning from a clear , dark E Kent. Venus was looking lovely in the eastern sky just now and the setting moon was particularly clear in the west last night.
Didn’t have an especially good day yesterday, but then it is to be expected, and I try to go with it.
The gammon went down well as did the apple crumble.
Today, the usual vacuuming and dusting, probably the job I like least in the house, but sadly it needs doing.
I hope today is kind to everyone. Carpe diem. ???☀️?☀️

Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark, but dry here in brackley this morning.
Today, household chores come to the fore this morning , with a general tidy up ready for a spring clean .
I will have a go with Wordle later as well.
Take Care,
Mick
