Gwen and Pittcity I too have a 'gizmo' for the TV that makes the sound go straight to my hearing aids. It is brilliant and I would highly recommend it. I got mine through the 'hearing aid person' (can't think of the correct word confused sorry!). So, you should be able to do the same. Good luck.

No matter what happens in the world flowers just keep on blooming !
Wishing you a happy day and weekend .

Good morning from coastal West Sussex where the sky is blue and the sun is shining out the front but in the back where I am sitting it is freezing!

I am so envious of all you artistic/creative people. hollysteers your painting on silk is beautiful.

We are preparing for a trip to Scotland next week to visit DD2 and family (twin DGSs). We bought a small flat in the town they live in so that we could spend more time there. (DD2 has ongoing health problems which limit her ability to get out and about). We will fill the campervan with assorted household items including a single bed base so there will be just room for us grin.

Hope all with troubles have a better day.

Good morning from a lovely sunny but cold East Midlands. A day of painting for me.

Blossoming Fri 11-Feb-22 11:08:05

Good morning Mick and everybody. It’s grey and drizzly in my corner of Lancashire this morning, currently 5°C.

No real plans other than housework, usual physio exercises and a walk, weather permitting. My ‘Healthier You’ exercise and eating plan is going well so far and I’m feeling good.

The hen party looks as though it was a real hoot Marydoll, loved the photos. Glad your vaccinations are being sorted at last.

Your new hearing aids sound the biz nannyjan and I’m sure you’ll feel a million dollars after a trip to the salon.

Hope EV isn’t on the naughty step for too long, I seldom bother with the shenanigans in the Politics thread as they get so heated.

Wishing you all the best possible day. May all those with worries find some comfort and all who are under the weather find some relief. ?

A beautiful cold sunny morning here in my rural corner of Oxfordshire. Such a delight to see the sun.

I'm very sad to see EV has been unable to post, I love her daily updates and appreciate her kindness. I must be missing something as I never see her post anything offensive or controversial.
I'm looking forward to the weekend, time with family, DH and dog, fingers X the sun stays shining for us all.
Wishing everyone a happy Friday.

Good morning all from a lovely sunny Black country.
Ironing to do then a trip to the bank if it's open, closed all last week due to covid not in our branch but our staff get seconded to other branches.
Come back soon EV
Enjoy your Friday and may you all find some ?.

Good morning from a sunny and frosty south yorkshire although it's beginning to thaw now. I shall be back in the garden this morning then picking grandchildren up from school this afternoon. Have a good day all

Good morning everyone from a bright and sunny Northampton, but feeling chilly, 2° outside today. Am all behind this morning, got up at what I thought was 8am, only to find it was in fact 9am!

Had a really good day yesterday, a good ballet class in the afternoon. We learnt a new step called Ballotee, and then put it into a sequence. Was worn out at the end! Afterwards walked back with a fellow dancer friend to her house for coffee. She was eager to show me her plans to redo her kitchen, having had two companies out this week to give estimates and design ideas. Then a further 20 minute walk home, which felt really chilly.

Glamma, so nice to hear of someone living near my childhood home in Wiltshire. Was only talking of Labour-in-vain Hill to my friend yesterday, as we walked up a similar long hill here in Northampton. Spent lots of time up on the downs as a child, my DF came from Calstone. Spent my 70th birthday picnicking on Morgan's Hill.

Sorry to hear about EV, will miss her daily doings.

Marydoll, the hen do sounded great fun!

Have decided to time my shopping trip with lunchtime today as I am running late, so will have a toastie and coffee in M&S Cafe before having a mooch around the shops. Then home, and have a curry thawing out for dinner tonight.

Lucky socks on today as my rugby team Northampton Saints play our arch rivals Leicester Tigers tonight. An away match as well, but it is on tv, so may be hiding behind the sofa.......

Wishing all a good day.

A late good morning from Inverness where we’ve lovely blue sky but it’s frosty and cold and a lot less windy than yesterday
Hope you have a better day today multivolouredswapshop
DGC have been dropped off at school so DH and I now have the rest of the day to ourselves as DD2 is picking them up later. I’ll be going to the gym for a nice relaxing splash around in the pool soon and then we’ll probably go to one of the local garden centres for lunch later
Good news that you can get now the appointment for your vaccine marydoll
Hope everyone finds something to enjoy today and take care all whatever the day brings ?

Auntieflo Fri 11-Feb-22 09:49:54

Good morning Mick, Annie and all. It is very bright and frosty here, and I am waiting for the stairlift people to come, again. Sometimes it goes up, but refuses to come down! Sorry to hear that you had a disastrous day yesterday Multi.
Marydoll, the hen do sounded very full on, no wonder you are exhausted. Take care.
Yesterday I went to our lovely, local craft shop, to get some wool to lengthen sleeves on a sweater, they are bracelet ? length and so annoying. While there I saw a beautiful jumper, so just had to buy the pattern and wool, so that will keep me busy.
Oh my goodness EV, come back soon, with your newsy posts.
I started the book "Hamnet" a couple of days ago, and am really enjoying it.
DD and SIL are coming tomorrow, with cake, ?. I had thought of making one, but she has pre-empted me, so I won't complain.
Have a good day one and all.

harrigran Fri 11-Feb-22 09:48:23

Good morning from a sunny NE where the thermometer says 0. Wind seems to have dropped, it was gusting when I went to bed.
SIL coming again today as I have to go to the opticians again, just to collect the glasses and make sure they are a good fit. Maybe a quick shop in M&S as it is opposite the opticians.
Spent all day sorting papers and shredding, I always hoped DH would do this during his retirement, but no, he stored boxes of them in the attic and garage and left them for me to sort.
Have a good day.

hollysteers Fri 11-Feb-22 09:38:03

Good morning Mick and all from a brightening northwest coast.
TV man here as the aerial is playing up. Then off to art group followed by run through with the ‘Banned Band’, so a busy day for me. I meant to have an early night but love the evenings so much stay up too late with iPad, books tv etc.
Hope you all have a good day and thought to anyone with troubles.

Good morning from a lovely, bright and sunny Essex by the sea but it's a little chilly.
DH has gone to Gillingham with a friend to check that his new boat has enough oil and water ready to bring it back to Essex next week.
We are having new fencing installed at the side of our car park today and of course there are problems and only me here to make decisions. I hope I have made the right ones.
I'm sorry to hear that EV has been suspended, what on earth can she have done. I hope we see her back soon.
Enjoy Friday everyone xxx

luluaugust Fri 11-Feb-22 09:30:37

Good morning all from sunny W Kent. Off to the supermarket and then ironing. Best wishes to all

Mapleleaf Fri 11-Feb-22 09:04:28

Is EV alright? Hope she’s back soon.

EkwaNimitee Fri 11-Feb-22 09:02:04

Good morning Mick and everyone from sunny but very frosty Carlisle.
What an icy strong wind there was when I went out yesterday afternoon. Everyone was complaining about it. The venesection went well but I'm feeling lightheaded this morning. It may be a coincidence and I'm telling myself that it isn't a reason to put off the ironing! Apart from the ironing, it will be a gentle day of sitting down doing admin and reading a new book.
Hope you are soon back EV.
And wishing all the best possible day.

Mapleleaf Fri 11-Feb-22 09:00:34

Morning all,

It’s a bright, frosty start here in South Yorkshire.

Looking forward to a nice walk later, well wrapped up of course.

Wishing you all a good day. Take care.

GrannyOwl5 Fri 11-Feb-22 08:59:54

Have sent you a pm Gwenisgreat1

GrannyOwl5 Fri 11-Feb-22 08:58:59

Morning everyone from a sunny and chilly north Kent coast. Going to be sunny all day apparently ?

Off to DH’s allotment in a bit to whirl the strimmer along the grass paths. My contribution to its upkeep. Then off to the garden centre to replenish my packets of seeds ready to start sowing at the end of the month.

Best wishes to EV, our crumpet queen. Hope she’s back with us soon.

Hope everyone has a good day

Pittcity Fri 11-Feb-22 08:44:34

Gwen I wish it Bluetoothed the TV to my ear as well!

If your TV hasn't got built in Bluetooth you can buy a gizmo to plug in. I use one to listen with Bluetooth earphones. I expect you can tune your hearing aids in too.
Dr Google can probably help.

ShazzaKanazza Fri 11-Feb-22 08:41:22

Good morning Mick and everyone from a crisp sunny frosty Hull. DH is next to me tucking into avocado and poached eggs on toast before he goes to the gym. I’ve a yoga zoom class later and this afternoon picking up DGS from school for a couple of hours then his Daddy picks him up.
Last night we had a lovely meal at our local casino. I had a little flutter on the roulette but no luck.
I’ve read all your posts and hoping everyone who is having a difficult time a better day today and hope you can find lovely reasons to smile today. Right time for my breakfast now but DH will have to make my poached eggs as I’ve never got the hang of them. Take care.

Serendipity22 Fri 11-Feb-22 08:38:52

Good morning Auntyflo and all x

Grandmabatty Fri 11-Feb-22 08:31:57

Lin's both my grandsons have/had reflux. Dd uses a thickener for formula milk and dgs2 also has a prescription for something. I can't remember the name but the difference has been incredible. He is sleeping so much better now. He has silent reflux so he isn't sick but was miserable. A much happier baby now.
