I was in M&S socially distancing behind the banana stand . An elderly couple carefully selected a bunch of about 7 bananas ( the size was looking for) and the woman broke the middle one on the inside off replacing the bunch. She then did the same for a second bunch. I wished I had asked but does anyone know of the special healing magic of a middle banana? I’ve seen this happen in Sainsburys once so maybe the same woman. It’s bothering me so perhaps I should get out more.
