Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark but dry and cold outside here in brackley this morning.
Yesterday , partly never went to plan as the driver of the bus to Buckingham choose to wait until Bicester bus had arrived before he came across.
Anyway , it was a busy Saturday in Bicester , no doubt people making up for loss of shopping because of the storm.
Today, a quiet day in with TV etc.
Take Care ,
Mick

Good morning all from a dull S Hants, rain and wind due later. The best news for you yesterday Maria.
There was me envying your little hideaway Gingster and you’re in dire straights, hopefully sorted very soon.
My son got their power back yesterday, it was out for about 27 hours, freezer contents lost, so they’ll be on the phone today.
We’ve no plans, football to watch this afternoon, slo cooker stew for dinner.
Enjoy your Sunday ??

Good Morning all from East Staffordshire where it is wet and windy.
Haven’t been on for a while so I will try to catch up as the day goes on with everyone else’s news.
I went to the cinema last night to see Belfast. It was very good, with some great music in too.
Off to give my arm full shortly. I am O- so I am a first responder ⛑ whatever that means!! I think my blood is special, like the royal’s maybe?
I may pop in to the supermarket on the way home as I am starting a new health kick on Monday and need some cake and biscuits and crisps as a last supper today?. Yes, I know, I am crackers but I love my snacks and will miss them, but I must lose this stone and a half before it gets comfortable!!
I will read all your news whilst waiting to give blood and hopefully catch up with what you have all been up to.
Take care everyone and stay safe and upright today ❤️

Not much planned for today, roast pork for dinner and will carry on reading my book.
Best wishes for anyone celebrating and virtual hugs where needed.
Enjoy your Sunday and may you all find some ?.

Good morning Auntyflo and all x

Good morning from North Yorkshire. It’s very windy and rain is forecast.
Gingster I hope your power is restored soon.
Church this morning then a day of reading and knitting.
Have a good day everyone. Stay safe.

Another wet and very windy day in Oxfordshire, yesterday started with beautiful sunshine and deteriorated into a day of heavy rain and cold wind. We stoked up the fire after a trip to the local town and were very cosy. Our dog loves the fire and sat panting in front of it!
Gingster so sorry to hear that you are experiencing such difficulties, I hope it is soon resolved.
Happy Sunday to all!

Good morning from a wild and wet Leicestershire.

Will be staying in and tidying my bedroom in prep for my new furniture coming tomorrow - so excited especially as it comes ready made - no flat pack!

Wishing everyone a good day.

Grandmabatty Sun 20-Feb-22 08:25:55

Good morning all from Polmont. 8° already and pouring rain and windy. It's a horrible day outside. Gingster that sounds awful. I hope it gets fixed soon.
Yesterday was a visit to dd. She had organised a buffet for anyone who came. Like me, she is a feeder and there was masses of food. Very quickly it got busy with lots of little ones under three. It was hectic! I was glad to get home to peace.
Today will be peaceful. I have no plans and I'm going nowhere. Haggis for tea. Have a good day all.

Good morning Mick and all his followers. It’s another wild and windy day in West Suffolk. We have been luck with electricity but a number of the surrounding villages are off. Our lovely neighbour rebuilt our damaged fence panel yesterday and now it’s stronger than it ever was.
We met DD &SIL yesterday for lunch on the coast in Maldon which was lovely but the foul weather put paid to any thoughts of a walk.
Today I plan to attack the mountain of ironing which has been waiting.
I hope the day is kind to everyone.

GrannyGravy13 Sun 20-Feb-22 08:13:21

Gingster I do hope you are sorted soon, please be careful ?

GrannyGravy13 Sun 20-Feb-22 08:12:30

Morning Mick and all

Yesterday I ended up going to an indoor play centre in the afternoon with DD and the GC, it was lovely to see the children playing, after two years of their lives so restricted.

The wind has been blowing here all night, the sky is grey and heavy , rain is forecast for most of the day.

Roast chicken for dinner, complete with pigs in blankets and Yorkshire pudding as requested by the 7 yr old.

Keep safe and well folks ?‍♀️??

Grandmajean Sun 20-Feb-22 08:08:58

Wet and miserable here in Cheshire.
Love the photoGwenisgreat Snow is beautiful. We haven't had any this winter.
I ,too , plan to write today but it will be an email as the recipient lives in the US and I don't trust the post !
Have a peaceful Sunday ,all.

I felt quite tearful reading of your predicament, Gingster and I admire your resilience. Thank heavens for good neighbours! I do hope power is restored soon. ???

Oopsadaisy1 Sun 20-Feb-22 08:06:04

Good morning everyone from a wet and windy Oxfordshire, MsOops, her OH and the grandchildren arrived late last night so we didn’t get to bed until 1am, their dog has just had a big op and has to be crated apart from being allowed out for toilet breaks, he was not happy and I’ve just got up to find MsOops asleep on the sofa next to dog and crate.
Roast today, all prepped yesterday thank goodness, visit to MissOops and then the garden centre to get the dog some food, he is usually a real sweetie, he’s a Cavacockapoo, but he is certainly stubborn and doesnt like being confined, however the vet knows best.
Then an early start tomorrow as they are going to Scotland and need a lift to the train station..
I’m exhausted already, I won’t be bored though as they all brought their dirty laundry up with them……and I have to sort out the different times the dog has to take his pills, luckily he will eat anything.
Hoping everyone has a good day, hugs for those who aren’t so chipper.

Good morning from a very wet and windy South Yorkshire. Today's plans include cutting out a dress pattern, a children's party (not my idea of fun really) and tea at ds1 with the family which will more then make up for enduring the party. Have a good day all x

Gingster Sun 20-Feb-22 07:58:05

Good morning all and it’s still very windy here on the Suffolk coast. I do wish it would die down. ?.

Thanks for thinking of us Ash but we are still without power. We have cables outside hanging by a thread. Very worrying. We’ve phoned the emergency lines 3 times now !

Our dear neighbour has let us run an extension lead from her house, so we can boil a kettle and charge our mobiles. I took her for lunch at our local pub yesterday to show our appreciation. ??.

We would love to go home but we can’t really leave until all this is sorted. Cheesed off is the expression, I think, but we have to remember those people far worse off.

Thinking of all who are poorly , worried or just plain ‘cheesed off’ .
?

❤️ the photo Gwenisgreat it’s like a Christmas card! Quite beautiful. I love the way snow muffles sound, it makes everything magical.

BlueBalou Sun 20-Feb-22 07:49:29

I have no idea what it’s like out yet, other than that I can hear the wind.
DS and family go home later, it’s been lovely having them. Nothing planned for today except a dog walk and cooking lunch - so far I have been asked if we can have Yorkshire puddings.
Have a lovely day everyone x

Georgesgran Sun 20-Feb-22 07:48:08

Good morning from Durham where again it’s wild, wet and windy. Yesterday was odd weather wise and I ended up at the beach with DGS1-glorious sunshine, icy blue sky, but cold.
He will be collected later today and taken home. He’d like to go to a local farm to see the piggies, but I’m wary of the weather. Glad to hear that most GNs haven’t reported major damage after Eunice - I had problems with my insurers after Malik.
Hope everyone has a good day.

Gwenisgreat1 Sun 20-Feb-22 07:42:52

Good morning all from very wet &windy Harrogate
Yesterday we had quite a snow fall which didn’t last, but it confused the dog! I did have an ambition to go to church, but looking at the weather, and not knowing if the bus shelter is still standing………… Maybe next week!
Funnily enough GrandMattie when DD1 was a baby she wouldn’t hug. When she was about 2, I had to teach her. No problems now!!
Have a great day, folks

Marydoll Sun 20-Feb-22 07:42:43

Good morning all from a wet and windy Glasgow.

Baubles, I suspect you may have a lot of customers, if it is anything like our parish, there were never any empty seats. It's a lovely way to bring the parish community together. Mass last night was surprisingly busy, people are definitely becoming more confident at coming back to church.

Its lovely to hear of so many making plans and meeting family.
A quiet day again for me again, while I anxiously await the news that the men folk are on their way home, safe and well after DS2's stag do in Edinburgh.

Enjoy your Sunday, everyone..

Pittcity Sun 20-Feb-22 07:42:12

Good morning from a grey skied Colchester. Yesterday's sunny morning gave way to a wet, windy afternoon with an almighty hail storm at one point. So the garden needs tidying of leaves and dirt again.
Our childminding was called off because the friends DD was going out with have Covid. It seems everyone around them is succumbing. They have already had it.
Roast chicken later but nothing else planned.
Love to all ?x

brook2704 Sun 20-Feb-22 07:34:23

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s warmed up a bit so the snow is melting and turning slushy. Yesterday was a cold but sunny day and we enjoyed a walk near Loch Ness then a catch up with DD2 later. Today I’m looking forward to my usual Sunday face time call with DS but not much else planned
Enjoy your lunch out today GM and you too Urms with your stepfather
Hope everyone finds something to enjoy today and take care all whatever the day brings ?

Urmstongran Sun 20-Feb-22 07:30:13

“Letters to write” sounds a lovely way to spend part of the day Beechnut. I’m sure it’s a dying art - it’s all phone calls, texts, Zoom and WA these days. I bet the recipients love settling down to read your news. You’ve set me thinking about one lady in particular who would like a letter - maybe I could enclose a couple of photos too. She was widowed last year and has no family. She’s not techie and doesn’t ‘do’ emails. We keep in touch by phone but I like your idea as a ‘add on’!

cornergran Sun 20-Feb-22 07:23:37

Morning Mick, morning All from a chilly, wet and windy corner of Somerset.

Braved the motorways for a chatty, happy couple of hours with the granddaughters yesterday. Spent ages with one looking at prom dresses on lime. A real treat. Came back to find the privacy screen installed at the back of our home. We feel very fortunate

Today there’s a list of little things to get through. All simple enough, nothing stressful. Roast pork later with a crumble to follow.

Enjoy work kitty, sounds as if it could be fun. Thinking of everyone finding life difficult just now. Hope a smile for us all at some point today.
