Happy Anniversary baubles??.
Last letters become first - March 26
Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark and dry outside without any wind of strong terms in brackley this morning.
Today ,after housework I will get the bus to Bicester for my usual routine .
Also looking ahead as to my weekend in York , assuming the floods have not reach there ,as the hotel is alongside the river Ouse as well.
Take Care,
Mick
Happy Anniversary baubles??.
Good morning Mick, morning all from sunny South Lanarkshire.
Sending best wishes to little Iris and to Mr Scentia for their forthcoming surgeries.
It’s our wedding anniversary today and earlier I was laughing and crying at the poem my DH wrote inside his card to me. Sometimes his romantic soul just can’t stay hidden.
Have the best day possible everyone. ??
Good morning Auntyflo and all x
Good morning from North Yorkshire. It’s still very windy and dark with heavy showers forecast.
The River Swale burst it’s banks yesterday cutting us off from the local town. It flooded the fields nearby too. Fortunately there are no houses in its tracks here but it feeds into the rivers at York so I’m keeping my fingers crossed for you Mick.
Shopping today and book club later.
Thoughts for Iris and Scientia’s DH and all the others not well.
Have a good day everyone.
A breezy but currently dry morning in Oxfordshire. I seem to have succumbed to DH's cold, which thankfully is only that and nothing worse. My thoughts and a big hug to Scentia.
A busy working day beckons so I send hopes for a good day to you all.
Good morning from a lovely calm Essex by the sea.
I had a very cold, windy walk yesterday along the sea front, we were blown along for much of it.
Today I am going with DH to do some cleaning on his new boat. He has just gone for a diabetic check up with the nurse.
My very best wishes for Scentia's DH and also for Iris, I wish her well.
Have a pleasant Tuesday everyone and stay safe xxx
Good morning from the Scottish Borders . It is dark and wet. A day for staying in.
I haven't had time to come on here recently as I am hosting a very busy volunteer ? who keeps asking for another job! Does anyone remember bob a job week? If so can you imagine finding suitable jobs for an active grownup!
Sending healing vibes to all with health worries and to grandMattie for her brave Iris.
Have as best a day as you can everyone.
Much calmer here this morning but apart from replenishing the stores after the weekend’s houseful not much planned, though I do have thank you letters to write.
Having braved driving to Temple Meads on Sunday yesterday I went with a friend to a U3A talk and then drove in the dark to flower club - realised I haven’t driven in the dark for a couple of years. No wonder I feel tired this morning.
Lots of people needing our support this morning so hoping for good outcomes for the invalids.
Good morning everyone. I don't usually pop in here but wanted to share today's date with anyone who hadn't noticed yet.
22022022
It is not often we get a palindromic date.
Good morning from Giffnock where it was very windy earlier but seems to have settled down now. I wrote a long newsy post yesterday and discovered when I checked in later in the day that I had only previewed.
So today I’ll just wish everyone well especially Scentia and her husband and Iris for her op tomorrow, what a little soldier she is.
I know there are others with health and other worries and I remember them too? Hope you feel better today Grandmabatty
Hoping the weather settles down for us all ???
Good morning all from bright Harrogate
I know parts of Knaresborough have been flooded so York will most likely be affected. The river Ouse is notorious for flooding, but your hotel might be OK Mick
Hope your DH will soon be mended Scentia.
Hope your trip to Bristol goes to plan GrandMattie and little Iris has a successful op. Sorry your DH is not feeling too good.
This am I am supposed to has a telephone ? call from the consultant and this pm an eye to eye ? appointment with the GP !!
I’d better get a move on - have the best day possible folks
Here’s Matt.
Good morning everyone from south Manchester where it’s dry and still. It looks nippy out though.
Not much on the agenda today. I have a few cards to write for March birthdays when we’ll be away. I will pass them to my stepfather tomorrow and he kindly posts them all for me.
Himself will be taking the Boy Wonder to football training early evening so we will eat beforehand as when he gets back we need to scoot straight out to join friends for a drink locally.
Best wishes grandMattie for your brave ‘flamingo girl’. I hope all goes well.
Happy Tuesday everybody. x
Good morning all from Polmont. 8° and wet here. Beauregard I'm another who is glad you made it home safely. Mick I hope your trip goes ahead.
Yesterday was a quiet day. I tidied up and spent the afternoon knitting. I continued with my revamp of the living room and it's looking nice.
Today is dgs1 birthday. He is three. His mum and dad are taking him to various activities during the day and I'm invited round for a chippy tea so I'm looking forward to that. He's a dear wee boy. I have a little shopping to do today so I'll potter until tea. Have a good day all.
Morning everyone! A calm day here this morning in Yorkshire. the sun is just about out. Looking fairly nice. Rain forecast soon though. We have our granddaughter today so hoping we will be able to get out into the park a bit. Enjoy your day whatever you do
Morning Mock and all
Like Gingster has posted, it’s quite here at the moment, no wind but rain due later.
I am on Granny duties today with The Imp so no idea what the day will bring.
Thinking of Scentia , FannyCornforth , Marydoll and any others I have missed who have troubles/illness themselves or their husbands/family (((hugs)))
Keep safe and well folks ?♀️?
Good morning from the Black country, rain stopped but still windy. We had an earthquake last night 3.2 on the Richter scale.
Safe journey for those travelling, and hope all goes well and for those with hospital and dental appointments.
Take care all and may you all find some ?
Good morning Mick and everybody. It’s drizzly in my corner of Lancashire this morning, currently 9°C. No wind at the moment.
It was quiet last night and I slept much better. Yesterday’s Healthier You zoom meeting was cancelled due to instructor’s illness and rescheduled to next Monday. This morning I have an early appointment with the phlebotomist so I will read your posts later.
Wishing you all the best possible day. May all those with worries find some comfort and all who are under the weather find some relief. ?
Good morning from Cheshire. Calmer weather today.
Best wishes to Iris .
I must have missed an update yesterday from Scentia. I hope your DH is soon back to full health.
Good morning Mick and all his followers. West Suffolk is grey and breezy but it’s a marked improvement on the last few days. Yesterday morning was as bad as the weekend with some torrential rain about and howling winds still. Talk about February Fill Dyke - the dykes around here are all full now thank you!
The garden is decorated with plastic plant ? pots thanks to the storms and my small wooden cold frame is scattered to the four corners so I have plenty to do today.
Best wishes to Iris & Scentia’s DH and I hope the day is kind to everyone.
Good morning all from, as dragonfly says, a blustery North Leicestershire.
beauregard, DD1 was caught up in the Derby floods trying to get from their house to ours. They eventually made it and we had an very enjoyable evening. She and the children stayed the night and, today, we are going to do an Escape Room. Hope we can get out.
DS1 is coming for a meal tonight and to watch the football.
Sending love and gentle hugs to everyone with worries and sadness.
Good morning Mick and everyone from a much calmer Hull. Mick there are a few flood warnings in York and it’s due to peak today. Really hope you get there.
It was such a pleasure to be back in contact with Grandmadinosaur enjoy your coffee morning. I also have my DGS tomorrow all day. See you soon. grandMattie hope everything goes well for Iris safe journey to Bristol. It’s DHs procedure today hoping nothing serious is found. We had a five mile walk yesterday but there was no one around much so it was nice to blow the cobwebs away.
Take care everyone and hope Tuesday brings moments of joy.
Good morning all from a wet Glasgow, what a change from yesterday's sunny, but bitterly cold day.
Yesterday, I got three loads of washing out and dried, there is a simple pleasure watching washing blowing in the wind. After clearing the porch cupboard of coats, which really needed a new home because I am overweight!, I felt quite virtuous!
I decided to do this, because DH was golfing and I thought I would have peace to do so.
I was so wrong, he caught me unawares and arrived home unexpectedly, an hour earlier than usual. Unfortunately the coats were piled up against the front door and he couldn't get in! ?
Unsurprisingly, fool that I am, but you already knew that, I overdid things, had a severe angina attack, so spent the afternoon lying down. Once an attack starts, there is no going back, regretting doing too much, won't stop it!
On Grandmattie's advice, I lay watching foreign rubbish dramas, my favourite, a Turkish version of Casualty!
The sun was streaming into the conservatory, it was bliss. Such simple pleasures.
I wish GM a safe journey and sending best wishes to Iris for tomorrow.
To Scentia and Fanny, hoping that today brings some progress for your husbands. It's so hard for those who care too, the worry takes its toll. I look at my DH and think of much he has done and given for me. ?
Glad to hear some good news, Gaga!
I'm off out to church this morning, to do a couple of jobs. DH has insisted on accompanying me. I know he is concerned, however that means my social interaction will be curtailed, I could talk for hours, but he is the antithesis of me, the original quiet man. ?
Have a good day, whatever your plans.
Good morning everyone from a wet and windy Inverness although it’s due to brighten up later
Yes I remember the cafe well Ash what a lovely time we had
Today I’ve got to finish emptying the utility room cupboards as we’ve workmen coming tomorrow to fit new units and a new sink etc. It really does need a makeover and I’ll be pleased when it’s done.
Have a safe trip GM and sending very best wishes to Iris
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, take care all whatever the day brings ?
Good morning all and it’s calm and peaceful here in Essex . Thank goodness the storms have gone!
This morning I will shop and this afternoon go to my Bridge Club. It will be lovely to get back to some sort of ‘normal’ and see friends.
Scentia sorry to hear your DH’s diagnosis. ?
GM - hope all goes well for brave little Iris ?.
Glad you got home safely Beauregard
Hoping you all have a safe and pleasant day. ??
Morning Mick, morning All. A much calmer start to our corner of Somerset after yesterday’s wind and rain. Slept too which helps.
Some sorting, half an hour in thr garden, a trip out for a cuppa mid afternoon, a chat on the phone and the day disappeared yesterday. Hair cut then a supermarket trip today. We don’t often go ourselves for a grocery shop these days and I’m quite looking forward to it. Not sure what else, wait and see time this afternoon.
Safe trip grandMattie, thinking of your husband scentia and everyone with worries of any kind.
Hope Tuesday is kind to us all.
