There is a lot of luck involved in Wordle. Today I soon had letters three and five. I came up with three solutions, given the letters I had left. Of course, the last of them was the answer.

I agree rubysong . Once I started Wordle a few weeks ago I quickly realised that there is an awful lot of luck involved.

However it took me 6 goes today after having a run of 3s over the past few days. I wasn’t convinced my last attempt was correct, and was surprised that it was!

I was 5 today.

I didn't expect today's one to be right as I thought it'd be an unfamiliar word for Americans.

It seems to be about 50:50. Good judgement when you have a few letters to play with, and Luck with the first word entered.

I don’t use the same starter word - with mixed results from 2/6 to 6/6 - but I try to begin with a 3 vowel word.

Having read a few articles about it, it seems to be generally considered that getting the work in less than four goes, is mainly luck. In my first two words today I got a vowel in my first word but not in the correct place, then three correct in my second word not including the vowel I already had. It was pretty impossible not to find it from that but there was very little skill involved. Other times I've found little of help in my first couple of words except to find a vowel and eliminate a few consonants, certainly not enough to make a sensible guess but it's a good way to start the day as by the third word the brain needs to start working!

Did it in 5 ......... but agree difficult today. Mind you it's never easy for me!!

Mine was pure luck today. I couldn't sleep and used the first word which came into my head, after getting nowhere with the first try. He presto, I got it in two.

The foreign Wordles need skill. If you are familiar with patterns and endings, you are in with a sporting chance.
I got the Latin one in three last night.

Got today's in 3. I think there will be protests from the American solvers as I don't think I have ever heard this word in any films or other media from across the Atlantic.
