I've stopped watching news. Only do the paper reviews late at night. No reason to scare myself to death over something which I've no control. Kind of working but I'm certainly not bubbling over with joy at the moment.

Well, crying won't help in that circumstance. What is needed is forethought, planning and quick action.

Is Putin going to be a threat? I actually think not. He was expecting a quick march into Ukraine and to take it in a day, if not an afternoon. He is meeting a better trained and more committed army and volunteers than he expected.

he has discovered that the daynof the tank is over. Tanks can no longer roll into countries destroying all before them, Modern handheld, guided missiles, which we have supplied to the Ukrainians, just blow the tanks up as they appear. I think Putin forgot this in his senile psychosis.

I hope and pray that the ending of this is going to be other than Putin expected. He is already suggesting negotiations, currently in Belorus, but more likely in Turkey. That is a sure sign he knows he made a mistake.

It has been said that, like many long standing dictators as they decline into old age they lose their sense of reality. This certainly is what is happening to Putin. It is known that he now takes little if any notice of his council of ministers, never meets anyone outside a very tight circle and is paranoid about COVID.

I doubt many of his councillors agree with him, and neither do a growing proprtion of the Russian population.

Lets hope one of them gives him the plutonium tea.

Very badly- as I am more aware than ever, that my ACS and GCs are not even in the same country.

But at least this big old house in the sticks could become a welcoming place to people who are suffering and need help.

I have always been scared of this type of thing. A lot of it is men's egos. Why do they always have to threaten each other? Do none of them see any joy in life?

Putin’s nuclear forces are always on alert. As I said to a friend recently, until we start conscripting 15 year old boys, it is “Steady the Buffs” here. I watched a video of Putin addressing a roomful of his hierarchy who were unsmilingly applauding every word. I would like to know what is really inside their heads and whether any of them will find a backbone before he really goes too far!

I can't stop watching the news on TV or listening to it on the radio and it is scaring me so much. Those poor women and children who are now refugees. Now Putin is talking about nuclear forces to be on alert!!! I am so scared for the world. I keep crying thinking of how would my grand daughters and my baby grt GD cope if it was them forced to leave home. How is it affecting you??
