Good Morning Everyone,
Its a dark and wet start here in brackley this morning , and I woke up with the start of continuous nose bleed , lucky all under control .
Today, I plan to get a early bus to Bicester and have a couple of hours there as its market day .
Take Care,
Mick

I don't usually post on this thread but I do read sometimes. I just wanted to wish Marydoll and family the happiest of days. X

harrigran Fri 04-Mar-22 08:54:14

Good morning from a grey and damp NE.
Successful meeting with the financial advisor, paperwork all sorted and I can probably relax now.
SIL and I had dinner together and watched the interview with Sir Ian McKellen on TV.
DD went to visit her foster cat who has been living with a neighbour while she has been in the UK, she says she has got quite tubby. I think she needs to earn her keep by going home and chasing the mice.
Have a lovely day Marydoll.

Millie22 Fri 04-Mar-22 08:53:34

Good morning from leafy Leicestershire. Just popped on to send love and best wishes to Marydoll for today ???

Good morning Mick, morning all from sunny South Lanarkshire.

Nosebleeds are unpleasant Mick, enjoy the rest of your day.

Glad to hear that the appointments went well yesterday for MrMattie and MrScentia.

stilllearning I hope you enjoyed the concert, sometimes our adult children forget that we are adults and capable ones at that.

May blessings rain upon your DS and his bride Marydoll. Have a wonderful day. ?

Happy moving day to your DD GG13.

I’ve no real plans today other than pottering and dog walking.

Have the best day possible everyone. ??

GrannySomerset Fri 04-Mar-22 08:49:03

Thinking of Marydoll and wishing her a joyous day. She could do with our weather - lovely spring-like morning so hope it lasts. Out for coffee with friends this morning, family arriving later today in preparation for my big birthday weekend away with most of my nearest and dearest.

The news is so terrifying this morning that it seems irresponsible to be thinking of pleasure, but there is nothing I can do except live the life I have.

Chrissielou Fri 04-Mar-22 08:44:43

A grey dreary damp start in Oxfordshire. Hurray it's Friday! Marydoll I hope you have a
wonderful day, your heart will be brimming with pride I'm sure.
Nothing exciting happening for me today apart from work, picking up click/collect and a dog walk.
Hoping for some sunshine for all.

Anniebach Fri 04-Mar-22 08:41:09

Good morning Auntyflo and all x

GrannyGravy13 Fri 04-Mar-22 08:28:03

Morning Mick and all

It’s grey here in S E Essex.

Wishing you and your son a wonderful wedding day Marydoll , enjoy.

We have a busy day ahead as DD is moving into her new home today, our eldest son has been an absolute angel setting up the TV’s and internet etc.

Keep safe and well folks ??‍♀️

Grandmadinosaur Fri 04-Mar-22 08:22:14

Good morning from East Yorkshire where it is a lousy day with rain.
After a bad nights sleep I then slept in. I blame it on the sugar after eating birthday cake too late. Thank you for the birthday wishes for DH yesterday. GS came running out of school with a card he’d made for him after telling his teacher it was Grandads birthday!
So today I have laundry to do, a delivery to collect from M&S and toiletries to buy.

Wishing you the most wonderful day Marydoll and I look forward to hearing all about the wedding.
Take care everyone

FannyCornforth Fri 04-Mar-22 08:20:09

Hello again!
Oh have I missed the dress!?
I will have to look at yesterday’s GM thread.
I’m rather confused this morning.

Have a fabulous, fabulous day Mary! xxx

BlueSapphire Fri 04-Mar-22 08:13:30

Good morning everyone from a very damp Northampton. Nevertheless I am still determined to get out for my weekly outing to the shops. I shall have a mooch around and a coffee and light lunch in the M&S Cafe, and pick up the one or two things that Sainsburys didn't deliver yesterday. May have a browse around Next, and the Sainsbury's clothes section..... It really does me good to have a change of scenery.

Coffee with my friend after ballet yesterday, and then went to the ticket office at my rugby club, where they assured me that renewal of my season ticket was all in hand. I logged into the site yesterday evening, and sure enough, there it was, so no worries. Don't know why I couldn't access it last week.

Hope today goes well Marydoll, how lovely for you. Looking forward to hearing all about it.

Wishing all well today.

aggie Fri 04-Mar-22 08:12:06

Good Morning everyone, especially Marydoll ????‍♀️

Marydoll Fri 04-Mar-22 08:11:58

Scentia, I'm so glad to hear that! That was my saviour too, a healthy lifestyle, apart from the chocolate!

Scentia Fri 04-Mar-22 08:10:37

Good Morning all from East Staffordshire where it is wet!
Mary I bet you will look beautiful. Have a lovely day and take care of yourself.
DH was a star at Rehab yesterday, it was so reassuring to go, they understood his need to get running and cycling again and were very positive that will happen soon. They said if he wasn’t so fit, the HA he had would have killed him. All those years of me moaning he does too much, needless to say, he had the last laugh❤️

ShazzaKanazza Fri 04-Mar-22 08:06:02

Marydoll absolutely love that dress. Have the best day.

Gingster Fri 04-Mar-22 08:00:24

Good morning all and it’s a bit grey here in Essex.

I sympathise with you GM - I hate driving now. . You did well! ?

Ash I love the idea of a welding ?.

Marydoll enjoy the day! ?‍♀️?.

It’s Dressup day for little gd. Book day yesterday but the infants always have it the day after. She’ll be Goldilocks for the day.
Her mum took her to see Matilda in London last night, so she’ll be tired this morning.

We’ll meet our old pals at the pub for lunch today as we haven’t seen them for a few weeks. Nice to catch up! Maybe pay a visit to Hyde Hall for an hour before. It’s close to the pub so a short visit is ideal.

I hope you all have a nice day. ???

Grandmabatty Fri 04-Mar-22 07:42:41

Good morning all from Polmont. It's only 4° and damp but forecast to brighten up.
Mick I haven't had a nosebleed for a long time. That must have been disconcerting. Grandmattie what a difficult day for you. Marydoll all my best wishes for the wedding today. Have a lovely time.
Yesterday my friend cancelled coffee so I had an extremely lazy day. Today will be the opposite as dd will be in after playgroup with the boys and there will be no rest for me! They'll stay for lunch so a trip to Aldi will be needed. Bacon rolls for us. Have a good day all.

Grandmajean Fri 04-Mar-22 07:40:11

Dull and drizzly here in Cheshire.
I sympathise with that drive GrandMattie
Hate driving in the dark. I had to do it last night coming home from choir. It was dark , raining , the road is twisty and someone behind me was trying to make me speed up ! Was relieved to get home.
Two youngest GC after school today.
Keep hoping we get some positive news from Ukraine but it seems unlikely.

Gwenisgreat1 Fri 04-Mar-22 07:39:20

Good morning all from soggy wet Harrogate
Not a comfortable way to wake up Mick but you are better now and ready for your trip out.
Yesterday sounds like a nightmare GrandMattie You will be glad it’s over, hope tomorrow is not as bad.
Yesterday got my mini microphone working and what a difference it makes! I didn’t know my hearing was so bad!
Today hoping for 3rd time lucky. I should have a telephone appointment with the consultant about my condition - fingers crossed!!
Well, the day is finally here Marydoll I’m sure you will make the most of it and enjoy every minute. Do they still do scrambles at weddings in Scotland?
Have the best day you can folks!

Ashcombe Fri 04-Mar-22 07:38:36

Sorry, folks, to have misled you! I added the cake photo to show the use of the word “welding”. Thank you for your kind wishes which I will save until October when we shall celebrate our seventh anniversary! (no itches yet….!) ?

Ladyleftfieldlover Fri 04-Mar-22 07:37:54

Morning all. As usual I haven’t looked out of the window yet, but have an idea it’s damp out there! It is five years since my breast cancer diagnosis and today it is my fifth annual mammogram. So I will be driving to Oxford and allowing plenty of time to park at the hospital. We don’t have a decent bus service in my village. On my way back from Oxford I may do a quick detour and pick up a parcel. Later this afternoon I am listening to a talk from the National Gallery. At some point I will make a lamb casserole for dinner for me and OH.

kittylester Fri 04-Mar-22 07:37:27

Good morning all from a wet North Leicestershire.

Our boiler stopped working last night, my laptop has stopped talking to the printer (not sure what the printer did to upset my laptop though it can be touchy) and DD2 is on the 10th day of being very +ve.

All extremely minor inconveniences compared with what is going on in Ukraine.

Urmstongran Fri 04-Mar-22 07:37:03

X posts Marydoll - we often do actually!!

Urmstongran Fri 04-Mar-22 07:31:39

Here’s Matt. I love the small details, like the goldfish in the bowl!

Good morning everyone from Malaga where it’s a very blustery day as Pooh Bear would say. The palm trees are dancing in the garden, empty plastic bins have rolled around and our two resident ducks are swimming quite happily in the big pool. They do look cute.

No going out for me in these winds so I will potter until the sun shines. I finished my book club read which had a disappointing ending. Such a let down when that happens! Never mind, I started a new one on my Kindle ‘Apples Never Fall’ by Lianne Moriarty who wrote Little Big Lies (or is it Big Little ones? Haha!). Set in Sydney, Oz. I love reading books set in Australia for some reason - I’ve never been there.

Every good wish for a fabulous enjoyable wedding today Marydoll! I hope the day is kind, weather wise and health wise. Looking forward already to a novella about it tomorrow please with photos!

A pat on the back for you grandMattie as you gear yourself up for tomorrow’s appointment.

Beechnut I had to giggle at your post. You made it sound as though your new fence panels were sitting in your mail box! I had visions of them being the size of waffles as you picked them up and carried them to your garage!

Enough waffling from me ... (!)
Enjoy Friday all who can. x

Grammaretto Fri 04-Mar-22 07:31:06

Good morning from the Scottish Borders. Dull here but the sun ? is out west for the Glasgow welding today. Wishing the happy couple well.
Sorry to hear about your bad start today Mick and hope it doesn't recur.

That tense drive does not sound fun grandM you are brave and necessary. Take care of yourself too.
I enjoyed my DGS performance at the piano concert yesterday and there is more next week.
I have a physio appointment early today followed by a yoga class and a 70th birthday party later.
Thinking about the state of the world with sadness but keeping going as we must.
