I would have loved to inherit my mum’s wedding ring, and would have worn it proudly. As my sister is older, it seemed only right that she had it though.

Yes by all means do it. Rings do go out of style, and a plain wedding band will just sit tucked away for years.

Getting jewellery remade can be expensive, but a good goldsmith will give you some ideas and a quote. Then you will have the knowledge of the gold that was on your mother's hand for so many years has a place next to your heart.

I have inherited several old wedding rings and had this dilemma. Charities are pleased to receive them.

My dear mum's wedding ring is just sitting in my jewellery box, I couldn't wear it as a ring, I thing a wedding ring is such a personal thing. But it seems a shame, should I have it remade into a pendant? What's everyone's views please
