Good Morning Everyone,
Its twilight here in Brackley this morning, but its dry , signs that the mornings ae getting lighter earlier .
Today , my bus to Bicester for my usual coffee and snack , before returning to watch cycling on TV.
But prior to that housework must be done as well , before anything else after breakfast .
Take Care,
Mick

Good afternoon from a lovely and sunny East Midlands.

Hello Scapal and welcome.

EkwaNimitee Tue 08-Mar-22 11:51:17

Good morning Mick and all from sunny Carlisle where we also have a bitingly cold wind. It's about 3C. I've not long come back from the diy store where I've been to get some gardening bits and bobs. They had lots of trays of bedding plants out for sale but had had to cover them all up because of our recent frosts. Way too early for them to be out.
I'm struggling at the moment...I should be getting on with some housework but my thriller is just coming up to an exciting denouement! The thriller is tending to win....
Best wishes to all the poorly and hope you are all soon on the mend.
And hello to you Scapal. Keep posting.

Good morning Mick, Annie and all.
Jst finished repairing a zip in my trousers. I bent over and the tummy overcame the strength of the cotton holding the zip ?
Missed an announced phone call earlier, whilst coming out of the shower. It was my lift for later , as I am off for my monthly infusion and renewal of the chemo tablets.
Sending gentle thoughts to all who are unwell, or are struggling at the moment.
The dreadful Ukraine business is pulling everybody down.
I haven't posted for a few days, but I do read and try and keep up.
Have a good day one and all.

Ooh I like that hollysteers.sorry I haven’t even read your post yet but I love your watercolour. Good morning to you all from what I can see is a very sunny Algarve although I think it rained heavily during the night. I shall catch up with everyone else during the day. Have a good one folks.

ShazzaKanazza Tue 08-Mar-22 11:25:12

Good morning Mick and all from a sunny northwest coast.
Quiet day yesterday after shout out cramp pain the night before leading to a bad night. Still it’s nice to have a good tidy up after being out so much and the house getting messy.
. Cleared the “floordrobe”? in the bedroom. Any teenager would have been proud of it, also the CHAIR, a large wicker peacock back style chair with so many clothes draped over it, some were a surprise when they emerged…
Off to sing today at music club and then might have a drive to check how long it takes to get to coach pick up for future day trip jollies.
Hello Scapal and thoughts to anyone with worries.

Grandmabatty Tue 08-Mar-22 10:49:29

Welcome to Scapa1. I'm fond of a trip to Dunblane, particularly Marks and Spencer! The cathedral is lovely too.

monk08 Tue 08-Mar-22 10:44:33

Sorry should read Scapa1

monk08 Tue 08-Mar-22 10:42:33

Welcome Scap1? enjoy your walk.

Scapa1 Tue 08-Mar-22 10:16:16

Hello from another lovely bright morning in Dunblane. This is the first time I have posted but have been keeping up with your chat for a while now. You all seem so positive and busy I fear I have little to add to these posts. Not much planned for today but a walk somewhere will be included as rain forecast for tomorrow and I not a wet person walker!!

Blossoming Tue 08-Mar-22 09:40:49

Good morning Mick and everybody. Cold and bright in my corner of Lancashire this morning, currently 3°C.

Hope today’s appointment is productive GrandMattie.

Glad you had an enjoyable day Gagagran.

Hope your DH has an easy journey Ashcombe.

Glad your SiL has had his surgery and your DD was able to visit Harrigran.

The people of Ukraine remain in my thoughts, it is unbelievable that this is happening while the world watches. Putin must be stopped.

Not much planned for today, just housework and usual physio exercise.

Wishing you all the best possible day. May all those with worries find some comfort and all who are under the weather find some relief. ?

Catching up with myself after a splendid birthday weekend away with immediate family - now down to earth with a bang! Still the delighted possessor of several lots of wonderful flowers and must be a lady who does flowers and sort out the best which will last a few days more. Real life intervenes in the shape of a trip to the supermarket and several thank you letters to write.

Managed to trip up the front steps and have a badly bruised ring finger, now turning purple. Just glad nothing is broken. Meanwhile am wearing weddding ring on my right hand which feels really odd.

luluaugust Tue 08-Mar-22 09:31:55

Good morning from sunny W Kent. Glad the op is over harrigran as you say a week is a long time nowadays but good they are keeping an eye on SIL.
Off to collect prescription with DH from not so local hospital prior to treatment he needs, otherwise quiet day, sold a load of CDs on line yesterday, house clearing very slow but ongoing now.
Good wishes to all.

harrigran Tue 08-Mar-22 09:08:24

Good morning from a sunny NE.
SIL had his operation at lunchtime yesterday, the gall bladder was too inflamed to remove by keyhole surgery so he had to have the old style operation.
DD made it back to the UK before he returned from theatre and was able to visit him last night but had to provide proof of -ve test. He has been told he will probably be in hospital until the weekend, a whole week, unusual these days as they like to get you out quick sharp.
Some light housework today and must cook today, just had cold meat with mashed potato and beans last night.

Jaxjacky Tue 08-Mar-22 08:45:04

Good morning all, it was frosty and clear at 6:45, cloudy now.
Happy reunion Ash. Hope you have a productive consultation gM. Best wishes to all poorly people.
I had a thorough garden/greenhouse clear up yesterday, very satisfying. A drive to do later and house tidying to finish.
Have a peasant Tuesday all ??

Anniebach Tue 08-Mar-22 08:35:04

Good morning Auntyflo and all x

monk08 Tue 08-Mar-22 08:24:30

Good morning all from the Black country
Didn't sleep well last night, had some sad news about a friend he'd been told yesterday he has a matter of weeks and chemo will prolong it for a short time. Had been home less than 2hrs when he had a heart attack possibly bought on from his earlier news.
Safe journeys to anyone travelling, best wishes to those celebrating and virtual hugs where needed. May you all enjoy your Tuesday and find some ?.

hulahoop Tue 08-Mar-22 08:22:26

It's a frosty start here in West Yorkshire but a lovely blue sky .oh has taken car for mot .It's my dd birthday today she is working so I am going out for lunch with a friend to celebrate ?Hope all appointments and surgeries go well .Take care all .

Grandmabatty Tue 08-Mar-22 08:16:50

Good morning all from a frosty Polmont where it's currently 0° with blue skies above. That's the third day in a row we've had blue skies. It's been a welcome change. It's all to break down tonight though.
Urms you are welcome. I find cranberry juice very bitter so will add orange juice. Enjoy your catch up with the ladies who wine. GrandmaJean the crocuses are out in my garden and aliums, bluebells, narcissi and tulips are beginning to show shoots.
Yesterday was a lazy day for me and I felt sorry for myself. A combination of not feeling well and family worries. I mooched about the house and achieved little. Today I'm not going anywhere but I'm determined to feel less "woe is me." I'll put mince in the slow cooker and make bolognaise. I'll sort out mail and file it. I might bake. I fancy making a lime and coconut cake. Or I might just read! Have a good day all.

Marydoll Tue 08-Mar-22 08:14:26

Good morning all from a chilly Glasgow.

Safe journey to Olddudders.

GM, praying for a positive visit today and that you look after yourself too and that Harri's SIL had had a successful operation. Your poor DD must be exhausted!

Glammagran, glad to hear you are on the way to recovery and for those with family, suffering from Covid, wishing them all a speedy recovery.

I'm experiencing some pangs of envy ?, reading about people meeting up with others, especially in the sunshine!
Enjoy your day, whatever your plans.

GrannyGravy13 Tue 08-Mar-22 08:07:02

Morning Mick and all

Right blue sky, sunny but chilly here in S E Essex.

I have The Imp today as DD is back to work, we will go to the local Farm Shop, they have miniature trolleys for the children and he likes to push one round for his shopping

Hopefully he will have a long nap on my lap (enforced rest for me) ??

Keep safe and well folks ?‍♀️?

NannyJan53 Tue 08-Mar-22 08:01:58

Good morning from a bright, sunny albeit frosty Black Country.

Meeting a friend in the local park at 10.00am where we will have a late breakfast in the cafe there.

This afternoon I will pop to Merry Hill shopping centre, to buy a few things for our holiday next week.

Wishing you all a lovely day

Pittcity Tue 08-Mar-22 07:59:19

Good morning from a bright, cold Colchester.
Another day in the sick bay. DH is feeling a bit better and we'll both do day 5 (for him) tests later.
I am, of course, missing my charity shop day.
More reading and TV I suppose.

Love to all ?x
