Good morning all. The sun is trying to break through the clouds in Polmont. Much milder than the last few days at 7°.
Sorry to hear that your Dh is still in pain Grandmattie. I hope your daughter out law is ok too baubles.
Yesterday I got some of my mojo back. I even made cranberry scones which are very nice.
Today I'll visit mum. There's no art class so I'm picking up dgs1 from playgroup to spend a few hours at my house. I'm looking forward to it already. Have a good day all.

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s bright and dry but still looking windy
So good that Olddudders is back with you Ash enjoy your time together!
Today I’m off for a splash around at the Aqua class at the gym and I’ll need to fit a food shop in sometime too.
Sorry to hear your DH isn’t much better GM hope things improve soon
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, take care all whatever the day brings

Good morning from bright and dry Harrogate
GrandMattie so sorry your DH is still in pain, what a worry for you.
glad you have got your DH back with you Ashcombe
Didn’t make it to Ripon yesterday, instead I got stuck on the phone with someone trying to sell oil shares. He had such a strong foreign accent I had great difficulty understanding him, he was so persistent I eventually blocked his number. What a waste of time!!!
Today we will try to go to Ripon and collect DHs sharpened garden tools, and possibly pop into a shop or two
Have the best day you can, folks

Good morning Mick and everyone from a bright Hull. We have another lovely day forecast it was great to wash all the cushion covers yesterday and get them out. First time using the washing line since last year.
Sorry to hear about your DH still in pain GM. Hoping they get to the bottom of it soon.
We are still on baby watch DD 6 days over. She’s going for a sweep today so hope that helps. She’s a midwife and not a big fan of intervention unless necessary but she’s so uncomfortable now.
DH spent yesterday breaking through a wall from his office into the back of the garage so we can have an internal entrance to the garage. So that kept him busy just got to get the fire door fitted now but he was pleased with himself.
Today we have DGS he’s going for an eye test at the hospital and has to have drops in so he’s having the afternoon off school so he’ll be here for granny snuggles which are always the best aren’t they.
Have a lovely day everyone and hope Wednesday bring moments of joy ?

Good morning Mick, morning all from overcast South Lanarkshire.

Sorry to hear that your DH isn’t any better Mattie.

Sadly D out L hasn’t escaped the virus. I’m a little concerned for her as there is more of a risk of serious illness in the third trimester but hoping her symptoms stay mild.

Daft dug has been hobbling for a few days so DH took her to the vet yesterday, she’s damaged a ligament in her knee and is to rest for a couple of weeks. No exercise at all, poor thing.

I’m off to work this morning. We’re changing the layout for the spring/summer season, moving the coats and knits further back and dresses and tops to the front of the shop. Hope the weather catches up with us.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Morning everyone! Good news Ash and I hope OD is still enjoying his sleep. Thanks for roses reminder, Mick. Job for weekend! I've a pneumonia jab and a coffee meeting lined up for this afternoon. That'll do me. First will be short followed up by long and lingering. Oh yes.... we seem to like to chat. Was at a funeral yesterday. My first humanist (I think?). Very different. The lady in question was a lovely neighbour and I already miss not having her around. Hey ho.... Bit of sunshine trying here so I think I might attempt to capitalise with a morning riverside constitutional. Helps to lift the spirits. I wish the best day possible to everyone. Cheers!

Good morning all from the Black country.
Early start today its mum's and toddlers the suns shining so I may walk down if the bus doesn't tempt me first.
Two of DH fishing members contacted him yesterday to say their wives were in hospital, one has ongoing problems but the other is serious and in ICU. They were informing him due to the fishing AGM due this week and they wouldn't be attending.
We have a carvery booked for later so no cooking today yippee.
Will catch up with everybody's happenings later, enjoy your day and may you all find some ?.

Morning Mick and all

It’s grey here in S E Essex.

The 7yr old slept over last night, so we are up already. He is playing in his first inter-school football tournament today and is super excited.

I am off to the gym, and then I have an empty house for a couple of hours…. Imight do some jobs or I might just sit in the peace and quiet.

Sorry your DH is still in pain grandMattie , pleased that your DH is back with you safe and sound Ashcombe

Keep safe and well folks ?‍♀️?

Good Morning from a cold and dry Severnside.

A night of strange dreams and then when I went to get up my bum was closer to the edge of the bed than my legs and I nearly fell out onto the floor ?

If my bank statement arrives I’ll do some admin. It’s getting later and later arriving lately. And of course it’s the time of year when the new yearly bills arrive ? some sewing and soup making to do too.

Pleased to hear olddudders had a good journey and arrived safely Ash. Have a good day all ??

grandMattie Wed 09-Mar-22 06:56:19

Good morning from an apricot skied E Kent. I overslept after finally getting to sleep around 3am.
Glad that Ash and olddudders are safely together again. Those long journeys take the stuffing out of you, don’t they?
gaga, I regret to say that things are no better. DH was given a suitcase full of various painkillers. He has to undergo several further tests to establish root the problem.
Another very busy day today.
DH wants his breakfast, so I’ll leave you, wishing you a good day. Carpe diem. ??????

Gagagran Wed 09-Mar-22 06:47:57

Good Morning everyone from a cloudy south coast. We are promised sunny spells later and it is much milder at 8.5c.

DH is out with his bike club today so I have an empty which is always when I get to do lots of pottering before welcoming him back with a nice meal.

Today DD should get the keys for her flat and we are hoping to have a trip to see it on Sunday so long as my dreaded vertigo remains dormant. It has been much better the past few days but I am wary and could not face the travel if it recurs.

We fed our roses yesterday Mick - great minds! I use Growmore granules and they seem to like them. I shall give them some more in early June and that will keep them going throughout the summer. Our soil is clay although we have improved it a lot with compost but I understand that roses like clay, unlike me!

Hoping GM and her husband had a fruitful consultant appointment yesterday. Not been a good 12 months for them so they deserve some better news.

Sorry to read of Soop's setback on the kitchen thread. Another couple who do not deserve these tribulations.

Very happy to know that Ash and Oldd are reunited in their own exciting, romantic marriage. Someone should write a film script based on it! grin

Take care everyone and have the best day you can. sunshine

Jaxjacky Wed 09-Mar-22 06:24:57

Morning Michael and those who follow, no ice today in S Hants, cloudy and 8deg.
Hope oldudders arrived safely Ash and you’ve had a catch up before you set him to work!
Tip run today, then a good walk.
Wishing those poorly improvements today and those sad a lightening of heart.
Enjoy your day ??

Scentia Wed 09-Mar-22 06:24:46

Good Morning all from East Staffordshire where it is still dark!
It is such a long time since I was up this early, I have slept funny on my shoulder and it is painful so I thought it best to get up and exercise it! It’s also a long time since my shoulder hurt.
Enjoyed being back in a routine yesterday with the DGC and had a lovely catch up with them and DD.
Today we have paper arriving at the factory and we can get some jobs out the door. There is a longstanding strike in Finland and we are unable to get supplies, this stuff has come from the Far East I think. Oh my, the carbon footprint doesn’t bear thinking about!!
I took loads of stuff to the drop off centre yesterday for Ukraine but they were full up and couldn’t take any more, that is good I suppose, that they have enough to fill their lorry.
Take care everyone, if you are struggling to cope today I hope better times are ahead for you❤️

Ashcombe Wed 09-Mar-22 06:20:49

Good morning, Mick, and those who follow. It’s less breezy at the moment and dry in Torbay.

Thank you very much for all the kind messages for DH's safe journey yesterday. We especially appreciated the comparison with Brief Encounter, Gagagran! I like to think we have the romance of that rather poignant film, if not the brevity! olddudders had a smooth journey at every stage but was very tired so an early night was welcome and he is still ?- ing now.

Today, I have a couple of Little Theatre commitments, including hosting Wednesday Club where we shall welcome a speaker to give a talk about Timbuktu! Yesterday, my time there helping with Props coincided with a recently retired couple visiting the Box Office to sign up to join Toads so I was delighted to take the opportunity to show them round our facilities.

Happy hump day, everyone! ??????
