A super idea to help children who have lost hair through cancer.

Both granddaughters donated their hair to The Little Princess Trust. It was completely their idea, young people can be very thoughtful.

My Granddaughter did this some years ago as her best friend was dying of Cancer, she raised a lot of money for Cancer Research.

My daughter has been donating her hair for some years now. She is passionate about the cause and will always do it.

It's a lovely thing to do.

Children are so selfless. I hope my GDs decide to do this one day.

I know a bit about The Little Princess Trust. The clinic I go to for my alopecia totalis does a lot of work with them.
I know of several people who have donated their hair. My clinic makes hair pieces and wigs free of charge for children with hair loss through cancer or alopecia.

My GD donated her hair to the Little Princess Trust in 2018 and is just about the right length again now for her 2nd donation.

I never got time to asking my granddaughter about how much she had collected from doing this but will when I see her again.

My DGD donated her hair, after collecting hundreds in sponsor money for a centre for children with special needs.
It’s a great idea and quite often, girls want shorter, easier to manage hair when they’re off to high school, so the hair isn’t wasted.

This is Carys my 10 year old granddaughter who donated her hair last year and raised £550.00 towards the cost of making a wig.
We are very proud of what she did. She also loves her shorter hair.

I did this last year, mine has some grey but they accept it if it is dyed a natural shade. My hair grew so long in lockdown I gave 3 plaits 12" long

A friend of DGD did this and raised the £400 needed to make the wig through GoFundMe.

I hope my DGD will do the same if their hair gets long enough.

Imogen, our granddaughter did this four years ago when she was 10 and again at the age of about 12, a girl in her class lost her hait. It is admirable.
