500l of oil here today would be £640. I had 500l delivered last week for £430. In Spring 2020 I bought the same for £134.

There’s no help available for people who use oil, either.

Petrol prices too, people are actually reaching the price cap of £99 before their tank is full

There was no petrol or diesel at our fuel station yesterday.

We have essential journeys to make; I feel sorry for those who need to travel for work.

We got some two weeks ago and paid £364 for 500l and that’s the highest since we moved here 8 years ago .
Just put wood burner on to try to conserve the oil ?

Just checked locally. Price per litre £1.26. I paid 59p 4 weeks ago and 19p at the start of the pandemic is 2019!

Oh my goodness, I used to get a full tank of 1200 for much less than that. I really don't know how we are going to manage this. I'm already taking on more hours at work than I can manage due to increasing bills accross the board.

Now the latest rhetoric I am seeing is that these price increases are all down to the awfulness in Ukraine so we must make sacrifices when that is blatantly not true at all and this had already started.

This will push far too many people into poverty and that is unacceptable

and for anyone who isn't aware/doesn't use oil, about 6 months ago it was @ £300
