After suffering back pain, caused by a too soft mattress, we recently purchased a medium to firm matress, which has done wonders for my back. I now have zero back pain.
However, I'm a side sleeper and I now wake up with shoulder and arm pain, which I'm convinced is partly caused by the mattress being a bit too firm. confused
So after much googling, the advice appears to be to buy a soft mattress topper to go on top of the too-firm new mattress.
Can anybody recommend one?
They are nearly £200 so I don't want to accidentally buy one that's too firm.
I see some advertised as soft but does that mean soft materials or what? I want one that I sink into a bit, if that makes sense.
Thanks.

I have a Dormeo Octaspring which does a good job. Mine is zonal but the classic is softer which might suit you better. The free Octaspring pillow is wonderful and gives a very comfortable night's sleep.
The firm does a 60 day free trial, so they might be worth a try.
Good luck!

I inherited a really thick duvet from my mother-in-law. It works well and didn’t cost me anything.

I have a Devon Wool one which I find so lovely and soft and warm. They are made of sheeps wool and it is, to me, like sleeping on a cloud. I think mine cost about £120. but that was four or five years ago. I have osteoporosis and MS so a good nights sleep is essential to me. They have a web site so have a look on there you may find something you like.

The Dormeo classic sounds amazing but nearly £400 for a topper seems a bit steep!

Would be that price for a Superking
