Horrible sky.

I’m glad there’s no sand here in mid Wales, as I’ve washed my car this morning. We’ve actually got some sun in the last half hour, hopefully it’s on the way to everybody now.

Same here in Kent, orange dust on car, which the heavy rain appears to have washed off.

Same here, orange dust on everything. My only surprise is the window cleaner didn't just finish cleaning my windows just before it arrived. He usually manages to bring on rain within a few hours, his record was within 20 minutes!

That’s ok Jaxjacky I hadn’t even noticed and wouldn’t have been the slightest bit bothered if I had!

Yes, and a lot of rain. There was orangey dust on my car - apparently from the Sahara.
But I hear that the next week or two are going to be largely sunny, and warming up considerably, so ?

It’s happened here now at lunchtime it all went yellow very dismal

It's just raining here, if there is any Saharan dust the rain is bringing it down to earth and washing it off cars etc

We’ve got it too. It started to appear around 12:30 ish! Has made a mess of my garden furniture and y rubbish bins are covered with it too!

It is horrible here in northern France, but worse in Spain. The snow covered ski slopes of the Sierra Nevada are orange.

My nice clean car is covered in orange dust, it’s raining but the clouds have an orange hue about them (S E Essex)

Just got back from a meeting in town, and wondered why we had a sort of dilute mud on our car. It looked as though we had been sprayed by a huge lorry on a motorway. Horrible.

Yes I'm also in Oxfordshire, there was a weird greeny yellowish light earlier. Now it is pouring with rain and really murky.

Same here in Herts. Very orangey sky. I don’t think I will venture out for the rest of the day because of my asthma.

Yes same here in Berkshire/Surrey.
I’ve just got back from Sainsbury’s and the car was covered with sand-coloured raindrops!
It took quite a bit of windscreen wash to get the windscreen clean.
It does sometimes happen when the wind is coming up from the south, the Sahara as tanith said.
Sunny, dry and warm weather is forecast for the next few days.

Said to MrOops earlier that the sky was yellow here in Oxfordshire, then read the news about the sand blowing our way.

We had it yesterday more expected today

Yes its very dark here in Northolt,Sahara sand storm and a lot of dirty cars lol
