They visit a penal colony where you get whatever you were intending to dish out to someone else.
Works really well.....

A self cleaning bath.
And a (properly) self cleaning oven.
A self-washing kitchen floor would be nice, too.
And a robot vacuum cleaner that could do the stairs and the upstairs, not to mention shifting heavy furniture to vacuum underneath.

Yes Henetha, I'd love a Transporter. I've always hated flying and actively avoid holidays now because of it. IF I could be tranported painlessly to my destination, I'd travel a lot more.

A machine to beam myself up and place me somewhere else.
Then we could avoid airports etc. And embarrassing situations.
Remember "Beam me up, Scotty", from Star Trek?

It would need to have built-in protection against the perils of altering history, but I would love to go back to places I know and see them through the ages, as well as to be part of things like whatever happened at Stonehenge.
