Good morning all from a very cold North Leicestershire. We have had snow overnight and first thing this morning but it is raining now.

DH delivering the ironing to the lovely ladies at the laundrette today - it's beyond me at the moment.

Good morning all from white out Harrogate- we have about 2inches of snow -Brrrr
Hope Sainsburies manages the delivery ‘cause our drive is quite steep! Apart from the delivery no plans today apart from a zoom chat to my sisters. I might brave it into town.
Glad your DH is improving, it’s good he’ll be home tomorrow.
Hope all covid symptoms are mild and sufferers will soon be out of isolation
Have the best day you can folks

Good morning from sunny but freezing Colchester. Snow is forecast and the temperature will "feel like" below zero all day.
I have bits and bobs to do indoors which include changing our bedding. I'll use the tumble dryer for the last time on our low rate electricity as our fix ends today. I must remember to take a photo of the meter readings to check against the "smart" bill.
Love to all ? x

Good morning all and yes GG it’s very chilly. Glad you’re feeling more like your old self! ?

Yesterday I changed networks for my mobile phone. What a kerfuffle! DS1 came to help and we just couldn’t find out how to keep my original number. ?. So I have to let all my contacts know the new number.
GG and Sar - I will pm you . ?

Today Im meeting my old school pal for coffee. I will go by train - only 2 stops away. Then back to take gs to his orthodontist appointment. He may have the brace taken off today ?. It’s amazing the difference it has made.

Chrissielou I do hope your Dd is feeling a bit better. ?. Poor love !

GM another busy day for you. I hope all goes to plan. ?

Wishing you all a kind day. ??

Good morning from a grey Leicestershire.
Just got the result of my PCR which was positive but told me my period of self isolation was over. I won’t be going anywhere until I have two negative tests though!

Pleased your DH is more settled GrandMattie. Ping meals were a godsend this week when we have both been ill! I hope you can get a care plan sorted out today.
Wishing everyone a good day.

Morning Mick and all

The sky is blue, the sun is shining but boy is it chilly ?

I have woken up feeling more like me, this awful bug/virus seems to been on the wain. No plans for today, will see how it goes.

grandMattie good to hear DH is more settled, so not worry about having a ping dinner you have been through so much this past year, please be gentle on yourself and rest.

Keep safe and well folks ?‍♀️?

Morning all from a lightly frozen West Oxfordshire. It is my Book Group at the local cafe this afternoon. That should be fun. I will talk about the Mad Women’s Ball. I also have some WI admin to do.

Beauregard Thu 31-Mar-22 07:18:13

Good morning from a very chilly Derbyshire. A mixed bag of weather in store today. It looks like I'll have to de-ice the car when I go to the supermarket shortly.

We're being treated to lunch today by an elderly relative who DH helps out by delivering newspapers, running errands etc. Later, we're on the school run. The boys have settled back in to their old school after a few months away. It helps when you already know all your classmates. The oldest has been made a "VIP" for the week, which he's very proud of.

Oh, I can see a flurry of snow outside. I do hope this cold, icy snap doesn't damage the delicate magnolia flowers and other newly emerging plants, as it did last year when the flowers turned brown.

Have a good Thursday all.

Good morning from Essex by the sea where the sun is shining but there is frost on the cars.
Food shopping this morning, not much else on the cards today.
I had a lovely picture of DGD5 aged 4 yesterday in her Easter Bonnet at nursery. She had a big grin on her face, lifted my spirits.
Enjoy Thursday everyone xx

Morning Mick, morning All from a cold, cloudy corner of Somerset.

Chores accomplished yesterday morning as our afternoon meeting was cancelled we went off to return an item I had bought that just didn’t look ‘right’. Not sure about today, other than a visit to the pharmacy as Mr C’s medication delivery was incorrect. Easily rectified we hope. There is admin waiting, see how I feel.

Pleased you’re husband is more comfortable grandmattie. No harm in the ‘ping’ meals. Good luck to your granddaughter gaga, the Beacons will be bleak.

Hope Thursday is gentle with us all.

Good morning Mick, morning all from South Lanarkshire where last night’s light snowfall is still lying on the grass and car roofs but not on the roads, thank goodness.

We’re off to childmind, back to our usual Thursday routine after a break due to their covid and our holiday.

You must be exhausted Mattie, take a light throw with you to help you sleep in the chair.

Hope your DD only has mild symptoms Ash.

Your DGD deserves a medal for camping in this weather Gaga.

Have the best day possible everyone. ??

Jaxjacky Thu 31-Mar-22 06:48:58

Morning all from a chilly, grey, dry S Hants. Your DH sounds a lot more settled gMattie, you have a long day again, take care, if that means a ding meal, so what.
Sounds like a ‘treasure’ Ashcombe , Hope your DD2 has a mild infection.
Back on the voluntary phones today, we had a lovely, but chilly walk yesterday, the Solent was very quiet, just the IoW ferry and a container ship.
Have a happy day if you can ??

Gagagran Thu 31-Mar-22 06:41:35

Good Morning everyone from a colder (2.4c) but dry south coast. We have similar weather forecast to you Mattie but so far no mention of sleet.

Had a poor night with aches and pains waking me up several times so a nap will feature at some point today. My jabbed arm is a bit tender too so not inclined to plan much in the way of chores. The surgery had the flow of patients, going for the booster, really well organised and I was actually back home at the time my appointment should have been. Very efficient.

Keep thinking of my our youngest DGD who set off for her DofE gold award expedition in the Brecon Beacons yesterday. It must have been a cold night and I bet they didn't get much sleep. She is a very organised and determined girl though so will keep going. Pity it wasn't last week when the temperatures were much kinder.

Hope today goes well Mattie and you manage to keep your strength up ready for DH's return - that will not be restful so eat what you can and nap when you can! flowers

Have the best day you can everyone. sunshine

Good morning, all, from a chilly Sarthe. The weather is definitely colder since our arrival with snow likely tomorrow!

My DD2 has finally succumbed to Covid, with a positive test last night. Considering how rife it has been in her school at times, I’m surprised it hasn’t happened sooner. She has (mild) asthma so I hope that won’t make matters worse.

It’s good to hear the news about your DH, grandMattie, and the recent news of Philip's pension. I hope today goes to plan for you; don’t worry about using the “ping” meals, as long as you’re eating something.

Our cleaner/gardener is due today although there’s usually more chat than work when DH has been away. She also looks after the house and feeds the cats when he’s in Torbay, for which we (and they ? ?!) are grateful.

Stay warm and well, everyone! ??????

grandMattie Thu 31-Mar-22 06:18:49

Good morning from E Kent. Haven’t looked out yet so don’t know what’s happening. We are promised low single figure temperatures and sleet.
DH is much more settled and is being threatened with discharge tomorrow.
Today is another story. He wants me in early, but he has a hospital appointment at the hospital in the late afternoon. I shall go in in early, take my lunch and probably nap in his chair while he’s on the bed… I hope there isn’t too much delay in seeing the consultant otherwise it makes for a very, very long day.
For the first time in my life, I am using “ping” meals as I have no appetite nor desire to cook, also a first. At least, I’m losing a pound or two. There must be nicer ways of doing so, though.
Carpe ? diem, dear friends. I hope today gives you smooth passage. ?????
