I've just read on my local NextDoor app about yet another scam. As you may be aware if you pay council tax by direct debit you will be refunded £150 into your bank account this April. This will be done automatically and you will not be emailed asking for your bank details.
Needless to say, the scammers are on to this already and people are receiving emails asking for details. Ignore them! It's yet another scam
