Exciting news for you, Blossoming, lovely to hear good news.

I'm pleased your procedure went well at the eye clinic, Grandmabatty,
Our local hospital are doing extra clinics at the weekends, My DH had an appointment 2 weeks ago, (much delayed & postponed from 2 years ago!), for a glaucoma check up, also going next Sunday to "see" if they can do anything with his torn retina, (that's been a 7 month wait).

Take Care,

This new kitchen won’t be the same without you Charleygirl .
Please come back soon. ?

You’ll love the 3 decorated rooms when they are completely cornergran - just grit your teeth until then ?

Grannmarie Mon 04-Apr-22 11:14:21

Hi, Charleygirl, hope you return to the kitchen soon.
Our family always said, Night night, God bless, at bedtime. Still say it with AC and GC.

mamaa Mon 04-Apr-22 10:00:21

Morning all,
Charleygirl5 NNGB was from me signing off last night- it was my lazy way of saying 'Night night, God bless'.
Sorry if it confused. It was what my mum always said when she tucked me and my brother in at night- I said it to mine and still do when the grandchildren sleep over. x

Morning All.

Many congratulation to all on William’s arrival Blossoming. It was my Dad’s middle name, only heard when he was in trouble with my Mum. grin.

We’ve a decorator here this week. Will someone remind me why I thought it was a good idea to get three rooms done at the same time? Currently hiding in the conservatory listening to the rain. There’s a heap of paperwork on the table looking at me. I’ll get to it, I will, I will……..

Take care everyone.

Charleygirl5 Mon 04-Apr-22 09:12:36

Blossoming that is lovely news and William is a superb name.

Hellogirl I could not house a kitten- a cat around 5 would be fine but as I said if I became ill or died there would be nobody to look after the cat.

For various reasons, I am bowing out of GN for a short time.

What does NNGB mean, please?

TillyTrotter Mon 04-Apr-22 09:03:38

How exciting - a new baby! Congratulations Blossoming I hope you get a cuddle soon. ?

Grandmabatty Mon 04-Apr-22 08:01:39

blossoming lovely news about baby William. Huge congratulations to your niece.

Welcome to our newest kitchener, baby William!
Lovely to hear that you are progressing so well Soop. xx
Wonderful to see Grandmafrench again, hope you`re going to stick around?
Charley, I was the opposite to you after Mia died, didn`t want to start afresh with a kitten. Billy was almost 12 when he came to us, but with a clean bill of health, and he`s now heading for 13. If he does outlive me, I have a home lined up for him with one of Lynne`s carers, she`s absolutely besotted with Billy, and he`s quite fond of her as well.

Hi ladies I’m dropping in to get dry after walking from the Leeds arena and getting wet. Just seen War of the world. Spectacular. Towel anyone and a hairdryer.

A late good evening to all kitcheners. I often read but rarely contribute however todays convivial vibe has drawn me in! The kitchen really is a warm and welcoming place for all and I appreciate its very existence. NNGB x

Grannmarie Sun 03-Apr-22 22:47:23

GrandmaSomerset, hoping you recover quickly and completely. ??

Grannmarie Sun 03-Apr-22 22:45:15

Lovely news, Blossoming, a special welcome to baby William ??, many congratulations to you and all the family.

Thank you, Doodle and Grandmabatty, I'm hoping and praying that their Covid will be mild and leave no lasting effects. I really thought that I would have tested positive by now because I was caring for DGS2, wiping his nose, changing his nappies, cuddling / nursing him to sleep....taking all possible precautions. Seems to be no rhyme nor reason to who succumbs and who doesn't?

Jaxjacky Sun 03-Apr-22 21:49:39

Many congratulations to you all Blossoming how exciting! ??

Chocolatelovinggran Sun 03-Apr-22 21:48:21

Blossoming, congratulations! What a fine name - my SIL is William.

Blossoming Sun 03-Apr-22 21:41:21

Just popped back in to tell you lovely people that my darling niece has had her baby, a gorgeous little boy to be named William! I’m too excited to keep the news to myself smile

kittylester Sun 03-Apr-22 21:40:35

I'm just popping in to make good on my promise to visit more often.

We have not done much today just talked to one daughter, messaged both the others and messaged both sons.

We had roast chicken for lunch - it was delicious even if I say so myself.

We hung the new curtains in our bedroom and have read the papers and watched some TV.

I still have really bad catarrh after having ovid but was cheered today when DD1 told me that she had it after covid too. Apparently it only lasts a month. shock

gillgran Sun 03-Apr-22 21:18:38

A great new kitchen, How popular you & your warm, friendly kitchen are, soop.
It's very full of lots of lovely people, very welcoming.
We've been to our DD's, helping with the DGD's yesterday, & spending today with the family.
Good to see GrandmaFrench here, too.

My thoughts with you all, especially those who are poorly.

Harris27 Sun 03-Apr-22 21:03:07

Lovely gathering lovely chat! Nice cakes and warm welcome!

Grandmabatty Sun 03-Apr-22 21:01:43

Lots of hugs to Grannysomerset and Grannmarie. I hope you get well soon GS and the virus doesn't darken your door Grannmarie.
A hospital appointment for me today to photograph my retinas. It's not painful but I can't drive because of the eye drops they use so dd took me. Her and the boys came back to my house for the rest of the afternoon and it was so lovely to have them around. Needless to say, I had a snooze when they went home! I'm watching rubbish on tv now. Take care all.

‘Evening All’

Lovely photo of the marina Blossoming. I love being beside water, always plenty to watch yet restful too somehow.

Happy to hear you’ll be sipping that G&T around about now soop. Progress indeed.

Doodle Sun 03-Apr-22 20:32:54

Grannysommerset sorry you’re not feeling great. Hope you feel better soon. ?
Grannmarie sorry about your DGS2 and DS2. Seems to be many cases of Covid now. Hope they all recover quickly.
Hello and welcome to all the poppers in and new visitors. Always sure of a warm welcome here ?
Soop glad to hear you are making good progress. Wonderful news.
TOYA ?

Grannmarie Sun 03-Apr-22 19:40:24

Good evening, Soop and lovely Kitchen people! ?

The new kitchen is beautiful, busy and bustling, but most of all, wonderfully welcoming. It's great to see so many GNs popping in, especially GrandmaFrench who has been missed.

I've had a particularly busy week, three days childcare involving two sleepovers and a poor wee DGS2 who tested positive for covid whilst we were looking after him midweek. .. he is now on the mend but today his Daddy, DS2, tested positive. I don't know how his Mummy has managed to avoid it so far, Papa and I are testing daily, negative so far. ? We went to pick up more lateral flow tests yesterday, so glad that they are still available here in Lanarkshire.

So I'm going to put my feet up and catch up on everyone's news. Sending love and prayers for all who need/wish them, especially those injured, iĺl/recovering or feeling low.
TOYA, NNGB. ???
