Seen this advertised on GN and the tops seem quite nice.
Just wondered if anyone has bought anything from them and what you think of them.

MiniMoon Sat 02-Apr-22 21:57:25

DO NOT order from this company. The reviews are terrible. They take your money then you wait for weeks. When your order arrives it is nothing like the description. Shoddy goods. No way to complain or get your money back.

I always research these companies.

I totally agree with Minimoon- rubbish , don’t buy anything from them, you would certainly regret it!!

MissAdventure Sat 02-Apr-22 22:30:29

Shein is a good company.
Normal sizing, good reviews and so on.
It does take a few weeks 2-3 usually, for stuff to arrive.
I've been happy with everything I bought from there.
They do almost everything on their site.

Thanks for the advice all. I will take note and avoid them.
Wish GN wouldn’t accept advertising from such place.
Thanks for the tip MissAdventure I will look them up.

MawtheMerrier Sat 02-Apr-22 23:15:34

I have heard exactly the opposite!
Shein have an awful reputation for poorly made, cheap fabric copies of other labels’ designs with unreliable sizing and which look nothing like the photographs in their advertising, MissAdventure
Added to which I have heard they come from China and returns are simply impossible!

MissAdventure Sat 02-Apr-22 23:18:27

I always wear poorly made, cheap clothes anyway.
I just like to get them cheaper. smile
I'll take some pics of their clothes and bits and bobs I've bought and upload them.

Some stick on tiles. About 4 or 4 pounds to do all around the sink and along the window cill.

MissAdventure Sat 02-Apr-22 23:28:37

Nice thick rug was about 12 pounds, I think.

MissAdventure Sat 02-Apr-22 23:30:29

Sweatshirt about 11 pounds I think. Maybe a bit more.
I added the soup stain myself.

I'm not sure on the returns policy.
I know it's clearly set out though.
You can check reviews before buying, with pics.
A lot are UK buyers, too.

Like this one?
I’ve edited the name out but the 1* says it all for me. Plus I tend to trust Martin Lewis.

My gorgeously stunning granddaughters, always beautifully turned out, order frequently from Shein, very happy with this company, they don’t have huge amounts of disposable cash and Shein suits them fine.

Doodle
There is nothing GN can do about it.
Some years ago I was very involved with a group on FB to try and do something about these companies all owned by the same man btw.
I did have a list ( it’s huge) of all the companies.
After being banned from FB twice because of our campaign I realised there are people you just can’t protect.
People are going to do what they’re going to do.
I did get dragged back into the protest by a friend. We want to know why a reputable company like PayPal are involved.

You only have to write 2 words and search. The name of the company and comments.

I've had two nice dresses from shein too grin

Bbc Rip off Britain featured a lady who had purchased four items from a similar company in China......the ads pop up on the daily mail top of page and the colourful
tops look lovely ...They were nothing like the pictures of what she thought she was buying and of course far to expensive to return so she went to rip off britain to show everyone what she received! always google reviews of a company.

but the way 'Shein' was once called ' She Inside'

lemsip Sun 03-Apr-22 11:18:00

by the way.......ETSY were recently featured on watchdog........A person bought a small decorative wall mirror from them then found exactly the same in B&M for £5.99

Just remembered I've got a couple too.
They were about £10. Seams straight, sizing as stated, good material, and well made.

The point is to give it a try, if anyone feels the risk is worth taking.
Minimum order for free delivery is £35, which I'm sure most people will have spent on something they've never worn, at some point.
You may end up with a load of old rubbish, but there again, you may not.

I ordered a dress from Shein, it was much better than I thought it would be but too big. I returned it and was refunded within a week. My grandson and his friends often buy from there with no problems.

Doodle Sun 03-Apr-22 20:39:34

Thank you all for taking the time to give your various thoughts. I might just stick to M&S. easier to take back what doesn’t fit.

You're welcome.
