Good morning from a very grey, drizzly Essex by the sea.

I'm sorry to hear about your DH GM. You are having a very rough time and I send my very best wishes to you both.

Gingster sorry to hear that your DD is being given the run around by the hospital. Love to you both.

I am going into town shortly to choose some new glasses, varifocal glasses and sunglasses. A small fortune I should imagine.

Have the best Tuesday you can and best wishes to all xxx

Good morning Auntyflo and all x

Ali23 Tue 05-Apr-22 08:32:53

Grandmattie, I’m so sorry to hear that. Your hubby is so lucky to have you there. I hope that the consultant can help ?

Pittcity Tue 05-Apr-22 08:32:10

Good morning from rainy Colchester. It felt milder when I went to put the rubbish out for the bin men. We don't have bins in this part of town so the black sacks contain all that can't be recycled. Recently magpies have taken to attacking the bags so I have to triple bag.
Tuesday is charity shop day. Hope we are busier than last week.
Love to all ?x

Gingster Tue 05-Apr-22 08:28:44

Good morning all and it’a bit milder her in Essex, thank goodness!

GM - what a tough time you’re having! Is it the meds that are causing the night terrors? Stay strong you brave lady ! ?

Yesterday we had fairly positive news of DD and her ongoing cancer treatment. This consultant said no need for an op on her foot or behind the knee. No results from the foot biopsies though! Can take up to 8 weeks ?. Her immunotherapy infusions should take care of that. She still has to have a biopsy on her groin! And so it goes on……and on! Three different hospitals and always sees a different consultant. Doesn’t instil much confidence!

Bridge club today - hurrah!

Hoping you all have an ‘OK’ day. ???❤️

BlueBalou Tue 05-Apr-22 08:06:03

Thinking of you all who are having difficult times ??
It’s a dull and breezy start here.
Thankfully I am starting to feel better, I will try getting up and pottering a bit today. At least the sore throat has gone even if the cold remains.
Poor DDog must be wondering what is happening as usually she follows me around like a shadow!

Chrissielou Tue 05-Apr-22 08:01:29

GM I admire you immensely and send flowers to you.

ShazzaKanazza Tue 05-Apr-22 08:00:42

Your poor DH can’t imagine how he must be feeling when he’s having those hallucinations grandMattie ?
Thank goodness he has you there
???

grandMattie Tue 05-Apr-22 07:51:09

Sorry, very late posting this morning. It is grey and drizzly in E Kent.
I got up early and went to the supermarket, leaving DH to sleep his rotten night off. He is having horrible hallucinations and I’d call them night terrors, which requires me to hold him tight and spout a load of nonsense until he calms down. Two sessions last night.
The hospice consultant is coming today, we may have some help there.
Busy day, and DH is getting up.
Take care dear friends. Thank you for your pms and encouragement. Carpe diem. ?????❤️?

Grandmabatty Tue 05-Apr-22 07:50:21

Good morning all from Polmont. Grey skies here and the thermometer says 6° but it feels much colder than that. Baubles that is very sad news indeed. Ashcombe lovely views from above but far too much grass for me!
Yesterday ended up being a very lazy day a la Urms and today looks similar. I might do the stuff I meant to do yesterday, then again I might not. I'm working up to cleaning my kitchen cupboards inside and out. I suppose it would be better to do that on a grey day like today rather than a sunny day. Decisions, decisions! Whatever you do, have a good day.

brook2704 Tue 05-Apr-22 07:38:32

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s snowing again and looking very wintry and cold ?⛄️
Such sad news Baubles and a shock too, thoughts with the family
That’s a great picture Ash and definitely lots of grass and land to keep you both busy
Today we’re looking after the DGC and taking them to various holiday activities that they’re going to. They’ll be staying over tonight too so looking forward to that.
Good news that your DH sounds a bit better grandmadinosaur I hope he gets home today and you get to see your DGS too
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings ?

Good morning from Derbyshire where it's raining.

DH thinks he has Covid as he's extremely tired, so he slept in the spare room last night as a precaution and isolated in another room yesterday. He will do another test this morning - he's been negative so far. I'm later up and had a better nights sleep as a consequence! I have an appointment for breast screening this morning, but I doubt I'll be able to attend due to being in close contact with someone with possible symptoms.

flowers for all coping with illness and worries.

Chrissielou Tue 05-Apr-22 07:37:29

A bit damp and grey in Oxfordshire today, but it seems milder. Im feeling better, thankfully whatever it was it wasn't covid.
Ashcombe what a lovely place to live, so much space.
Thinking of GM and hope they've had a comfortable night.

ShazzaKanazza Tue 05-Apr-22 07:33:34

Hope grandMattie and her DH are ok this morning x

ShazzaKanazza Tue 05-Apr-22 07:29:15

Good morning Mick and everyone from a wet Hull.
Ashcombe that looks a lovely place you have.
Grandmadinosaur enjoy having your DH home hope he sees the GC.
This morning I’m going for a cuppa with DD and GDs. Lots of snuggles. The baby is gorgeous. They are then going for lunch with my DB and SIL.
I’m estranged from them so just smile and wish them a nice time.

The joiner is coming early to fit the new door into the hole that DH knocked through weeks ago from his office to the back of the garage. Be glad to get it in it’s been freezing in his office.
Take care and enjoy your day if you can and hope Tuesday brings a moment of joy??

Gwenisgreat1 Tue 05-Apr-22 07:21:58

Good morning all from dry but blustery Harrogate
Is that a farm you are on in Sartre Ashcombe looks like it with all the outbuildings?
I hope GrandMattie is feeling better today, and Marydoll
Good to hear your DH should be home today Grandmadinasaur
I took the sedative offered for the gastroscopy yesterday and never felt or saw a thing! Seems I might need surgery but I’ll have to think long and hard about it!
Today I have lunch with ladies from the church which should be very enjoyable apart from that an Admin day
Have the best day possible folks

Urmstongran Tue 05-Apr-22 07:21:24

Curious as to who took the aerial view Ash? It’s really good.

cornergran Tue 05-Apr-22 07:21:03

Morning Mick, morning All from a cloudy corner of Somerset

Decorator did an amazing amount yesterday, more to come today. I’ve a heap of paperwork to plough through, need to read some legal stuff. It will keep me occupied.

I share concern for grandmattie who hasn’t been far from my thoughts. Pleased you feel better gaga and your husband is so much improved grandmadinosaur. Mr C has always wanted enough grass to warrant a ride on mower ash, he’s quite envious.

Take care everyone. Hope Tuesday is kind to us all

baubles Tue 05-Apr-22 07:20:14

Good morning all from cloudy East Renfrewshire.

Great photo Ash.

I’m pleased to hear that you’re feeling better Gagagran.

Grandmadinosaur, good news about your DH.

Yesterday wasn’t a good day. I had a call at work just before opening time to tell me that one of our very loyal volunteers had died suddenly on Saturday. I was expecting him in any minute. Just so sad.

Thinking of gMattie and her dear husband, sending a hug.

Just about to get the little one’s breakfast and get him ready for nursery. He’s a joy to be with and seems not to be missing his Mum, Dad and siblings too much.

Have the best day possible everyone. ?

GrannyGravy13 Tue 05-Apr-22 07:18:33

Morning Mick and all

It’s grey, damp and chilly here in S E Essex.

Not sure what today will bring, hopefully meeting up with some GC as they are on Easter Holidays.

Keep safe and well folks ?‍♀️?

Gagagran Tue 05-Apr-22 07:08:43

Ash would a couple of goats help with the grass?

Gagagran Tue 05-Apr-22 07:07:18

Morning everyone from a dry and milder south coast. 10.0c. Might even see some sunshine today .

I am feeling somewhat recovered from whatever was making feel so grim for the last couple of days. Seeing DS cheered me immensely and he is coming again today after his advanced motorbike course around West Sussex, Hampshire and Dorset. His instructor is a former police outrider who coaches with safety in mind and he has been excellent at monitoring and advising DS. Unlike our DD we don't have to walk on eggshells around DS which makes for stress free visits!
Concerned about GM and hoping things are no worse with Mr GM home from the hospice. Thinking of you Mattie flowers

DH is out with his cycle club today so I have an empty and can catch up on neglected chores of the past couple of days.

Have the best day you can everyone. sunshine

Urmstongran Tue 05-Apr-22 07:04:55

Here’s Matt.

Good morning everyone from a wet and dreary looking south Manchester. We are off to M&S food hall later, picking my stepfather up en route. I shall avoid the aisles with cake, biscuits and chocolate ... not easy as Easter approaches!

Later we babysit L’il Miss while her mum & dad go to the junior school Easter concert for the Boy Wonder. As grandparents, we have tickets for tomorrow morning’s performance.

Enjoy Tuesday all who can. Thoughts especially with you grandMattie during this tough time. Blimey Ash that’s some grass you have there! x

Grandmadinosaur Tue 05-Apr-22 07:04:08

Good morning all from East Yorkshire. It is 8 degrees and raining.

I was able to visit DH yesterday. He looked better than I’d imagined he would and is making good progress. It looks like he may be allowed home today. A lovely Dr came to see him just before I left and told him this news. As they take there time with these things I should still be able to go to coffee morning today. Haven’t been for 2 weeks so lots to catch up on. I also hope I will be able to have GS after school as I know DH will
have missed seeing him.

? for everyone with worries

Take care.

kittylester Tue 05-Apr-22 06:54:25

Good morning all from a milder North Leicestershire.

Up at the crack of dawn as the roof men are coming.

brew with DS2 this pm.

Have the best day possible everyone.
