Good Morning Friday 8th April 2022

Good morning all from a cloudy S Hants. A good night makes things so much better grandMattie, may your day go as well.
Have a wonderful break Chrissielou, it’s deserved.
I too slept better last night, not much to report as confined to quarters, so thoughts with those poorly themselves, or with family concerns.
Enjoy your Friday ??.

Beautiful morning here in Cheshire. A big change from yesterday.
SIL and eldest GD have Covid. It has gone through most of the family now. DH and I still ok - fingers crossed.
Hair trim this morning and maybe a trip to Knutsford to pick up a book that I ordered.

Here’s Matt. Made me chuckle.

Good morning everyone from south Manchester where we have sunshine! Frost on the roofs though. (I had to Google that. Roofs or rooves? Ha!).

The Boy Wonder and L’il Miss break up for their Easter break this afternoon. Himself is on call regarding cricket practice this evening. Other than that I’ve got thick lamb chops for dinner today with loads of veg.

Anyone else always think of gillybob on a Friday morning? I wonder how she & her family are doing these days?

I’m about to read all your posts now. Nice to see you returned to the fold esterday Marydoll. Enjoy Friday all who can. x

Good morning everyone from Inverness where the sun is out but it’s cold and we’ve had some more light snow overnight.
Sorry to hear your DH is still unwell beauregard I hope he gets to see the GP and whatever treatment is needed
That’s a worry Marydoll and news we didn’t want to hear, but I hope your DH recovers quickly and you’re all set to go if you need your fast track treatment
Today I’m off to the gym for a splash around at the Aqua class and a good catch up with the ladies later
Holidays are always special when spent with the family harrigran I’m pleased you’re enjoying it despite the weather.
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings ?

Good morning everyone from Wiltshire, it looks like a grey beginning to Friday here.
Well done Mick, it’s not easy when your confidence takes a knock.
Oh dear Marydoll, we’re both recovering from the drafted Covid here, thankfully we have had no problems. I do hope that it’s the same for you.
That’s worrying Beauregard, I hope it’s nothing serious ?
I need to take DDog out myself today, my wonderful neighbour has been walking her for the last few days, such a massive help. I will retest to see if I’m still positive but it’s unusual to meet anyone else when I’m walking her.

Morning Mick and all

Good that you are getting out Mick

Marydoll fingers crossed for a negative result, if not I hope it’s only a mild variant for you and DH.

We have The Imp and the 7yr old today, hopefully it’s nice enough weather to get them out to a country park to run off some energy.

DH and I are off to a local Malaysian restaurant this evening, the food is always so tasty.

Keep safe and well folks ?‍♀️?

Oh, Marydoll, what can I say, except ???????
Loadsa hugs

Morning Mick, morning All from an overcast corner of Somerset.

Everything back in its place here, new light fittings installed by Mr C, floors cleaned and obvious dust removed we agree the havoc was worth it.

As much luck as I can summon is winging its way to you marydoll. Of course no one’s fault. You sound brighter grandmattie, hope today goes well.

Thinking of everyone with worries. Hope Friday is kind to us all

Good morning from a grey, cold Colchester. It was wet and windy all day yesterday, so I'm hoping for a dry day as both DH and DS have muddy camping stuff to wash and dry. DH is up but DS will sleep in as his was military training and DH was glamping in comparison.
We'll need a supermarket shop too at some point.
It's awful how a lot of us are getting Covid after being so careful for 2 years. I hope it's not too hard for you to get the needed treatment Marydoll.
Sending love to all ? x

Good morning Mick and everyone from what looks like a lovely day in Hull I’m still in bed it’s peeking through the blinds.

Pleased your first outing went well Mick an achievement.

grandMattie it was so nice to hear about your day yesterday with friends?
.
Oh Marydoll what to say! Fingers are tightly crossed for you? I’ll be thinking of you and DH all day. ?

Chrissie enjoy your break

Today I’ve a full afternoon I’m picking up my uncle from Bridlington and taking him onto Scarborough for a check up from his cataract operation. As he’s vulnerable I’ll be going in with him. Hoping they’ll clear him to get his next one done. Once he can fully see those pretty carers he’ll be chasing them all over the place. Then take him back and home. I’m an hour from him so it’s not an easy trip. Tonight I’m taxi for DH for his lads night out.

Take care everyone and for everyone worrying you are in my thoughts.
??

Good Morning everyone from a grey sky (4.0c) south coast.

Glad you managed the visitors Mattie and both had a good night ready for what the day brings. Always thinking of you both and sending a hug if needed.

Plan a trip to the farm shop today as I have been running down the freezer and it needs replenishing ready to start the running down again! They have some really nice things there that could easily pass as home made - so useful when my energy levels are low, which is quite a frequent occurrence of late. I will call at the library too to restock my reading supply.

Glad you managed a bus trip Mick and hope that you are feeling more confident again as a result.

Our tulips are looking magnificent, Ash and are my second favourite spring flowers. Hope yours revive. I have often pondered on how clever bulbs are, to lie for months in their little brown skins, getting ready to show us their beauty when winter retreats. Nature is truly a marvel.

Safe travels to those on the move and to the rest of us, have the best day you can.

Good morning from the Lakes where it is -2.
The family had another soaking yesterday when they went to Ambleside, girls wanted to go to the Rock shop. They brought me a sodalite heart.
I had a gentle stroll to the village shop before the rain started then I read my novel.
I am so pleased I came on holiday despite the poor weather.
Thinking of all with troubles.

Good morning from Derbyshire. Chilly but blue sky at the moment.

DH is still really unwell. We've now realised it isn't due to any kind of virus, so a call to the GP is planned this morning and (hopefully) an appointment to try and find out what's going on with him. Thanks to those who wished him well.

I hope those going through difficult and worrying times have the best outcome, with better days ahead.

Best wishes to all

Good morning all from a brightening North Leicestershire.

Our cleaner will arrive and blitz upstairs today and the butcher will deliver later this afternoon.

Thinking of everyone with worries.

Good morning from a sunny but chilly Leicestershire.

Went to Tai Chi yesterday and a walk with friends. It is so good to feel normal again.

Pleased you had a better night GrandMattie and that you ventured out Mick
.enjoy your break Chrissielou

Good morning all from a cloudy Glasgow.

Things are not too good here. After a very disturbed night, caughing and spluttering, I insisted DH take a test, as he was in very close contact with Dollie (who now has Covid), at the weekend. He has tested +ve. ? After two years of being extremely vigilant and trying to keep safe, he has succumbed.
He was off to play golf early this morning, thank goodness I made him check.

Now the worrying begins. If I'm positive, there is a process that must I go through, for me to access a fast track PCR and anti viral treatment, if I test positive, I will need to have an infusion in hospital, rather than the tablets. It's inevitable I suspect, as DH and I have been in very close contact and I feel pretty awful today! ☹

I am getting up to test and locate my letter with all the necessary phone numbers just in case. Wish me luck! Poor DH is beside himself, worrying about me and feeling guilty. It is no-one's fault!

I hope everyone's day is better than mine! Take care everyone.

Good Morning everyone. It’s a dull grey start on Severnside.

My weekly shop and bill paying. I’ll also have to do something today as yesterday I spent a lot of time binge watching Bridgerton.

Your long drive will be worth it Chrissielou.

Have the best day you can everyone ??

Good morning from a grey Essex by the sea.
I'm pleased you managed to get out yesterday Mick, hopefully your confidence will return.
Not a lot going on here today, DH will go and do some work on his boat and I will get some washing and ironing done.
Enjoy Friday whatever you my get upto xx

Safe travels, Chrissielou and enjoy your well earned break! ???

A lovely sunrise in Oxfordshire. We are off to Cornwall for a few days with the dog, so a long drive ahead. Weather looks promising for the next two days which is a bonus, with lots of lovely places to walk and explore.
Great to have time off work, it's been very hectic of late especially after being unwell all week.
I hope you all find some sunshine today.

Good morning Mick, morning all from East Renfrewshire. I’m not sure what the weather is doing.

Good idea to take things gradually Mick.

After dropping the little GC off at nursery this morning I’m heading for the shops to exchange a cushion I bought last week as it’s too similar to the chair it’s intended for, the camouflage effect isn’t the look I was after.

Have the best day possible everyone. Sending virtual hugs to all the troubled grans, may your day be peaceful. ??

Good morning on a damp looking one in the Sarthe. One cat braved being out all night (mostly in the barn!) but came in a rather soggy moggy.

I’m glad you’ve got over the hurdle of going out without incident on the bus, Mick. Small steps. I hope we hear happier news today from those with health issues or caring for loved ones who are unwell.

Warmer temperatures are forecast here and the tulips are reviving after the shock of the frosts but the hydrangeas are very bedraggled with their new shoots looking withered.

Take care and stay well. ??????

Good morning from a dawning, grey E Kent. A much chillier day forecast, but at least no gales today.
Well done, Mick, for being so brave!
A much better night - we were both exhausted. The school friends’ visit went well; I left the chaps while I had a brief outing into our pretty little town, with the wives.
Today, the rector is coming in the morning and the solicitor with our draft Wills, this afternoon. The consultant will also be telephoning at some stage. It means that I have to forgo my nap so I am coherent when she calls.
Hav3 a good day, all. Just because I don’t mention you by name doesn’t mean I don’t think about you…
Carpe diem. ????????
