I thought you meant a lounge suite, I thought £4.00 was a bit of a bargain!

I had a lovely blue velour tracksuit many years ago but I wore it out, not lounging around at home.
It felt lovely to wear.

Very retro now! Went with the 1980s perm ?

My dear neighbour refers to her shed as the “summerhouse”. - her late husband had a chair in there and read the newspapers etc there.

Yes, why do they wrap the suitcases in cling film ? I’ve always wondered that ?

Sorry - what is a “lounging suit” ?

2022 speak for a velour tracksuit ?

Loungewear on the other hand is one step up from pjs

Sounded charmingly quaint!
In the way my dear late MIL always used to refer to the “washing up machine” smile

I read it as a lounge suite.
Sorry, CountessF

Yes, I do have an appointment with the optician in a couple of weeks.

It reminded me of seeing those suitcases people wrap in myriad layers of clingfilm at airports.
I think "well, what if security want to open them? What do you do with all that plastic at the other end?"

There are fabric paints which are textured, if you think it might be worth having a go at the bald patch.

It would probably cost as much as your bargain, though.

Yes, unused {or course} 4.00

I suspect that that was the reason it was sent to the Charity shop, someone made an error with the sellotape and the seller realised it would leave marks.
Hopefully you got it for a very good price.

There are people who do first and think afterwards!

Found a beautiful teal blue lounging suit for sale, absolutely brand new in a charity shop. So far,so good. There was no outer packaging, but a deep plastic band around the outside. So far so good again. However, attached to this and to keep the product in place was meters of sellotape stuck all over the garment. It took 45 mnutes to very carefully peel this off, at which point a small amount of the velvet became detached as well. Don't think the charity shop had done this as it looked original. Bah humbug
