Good morning all from East Yorkshire. We have a bright blue sky but feels chilly.

Another quiet day yesterday in the recuperation quarters here! The lovely young man who bought my shopping delivery told me he was deaf. I put the bags inside and asked him how I say thank you which he proceeded to do. I felt so inadequate. We later had a lovely lunch round the corner and the staff there are so lovely. We came home and watched a bit of the racing from Aintree. DH is a Liverpudlian boy so the meet is always special for him.
No plans for today but I suspect the family might call round at some point.
? for all with illness, worries.

Good morning all from East Renfrewshire. It’s dry and cool and the birdsong outside my window is delightful.

I’ve a day alone with the little one as DH is helping our DS with some tiling. Tell be a day of playing with cars and trucks no doubt.

My vertigo has been a nonstop nuisance since we came back from holiday, I’m wondering if it’s possible that the flight was the trigger.

Well done to Iris Mattie, I hope you have a better day today.

Marydoll you’re having a rubbish time, sending a hug. ?

There are so many troubled posters just now, wishing you all a peaceful day. ??

Good morning everyone from a bright, very frosty morning in Northampton.
Have been feeling snuffly since yesterday, so have just done an LFT, which was negative.

So a walk out to the postbox this morning to post Easter cards and a card to a friend who turns 80 next week, and then I may have a walk up to the garden centre for coffee and a browse.

Will be watching the women's rugby this afternoon, come on the Red Roses! I saw them play New Zealand last year and they were awesome.

Hoping Marydoll continues to test negative.
Enjoy your outing Mick.

Good Morning everyone from a bright but cold south coast 1.0c. but we are promised a sunny day.

Thinking of all our Grans who have worries and problems. Life is sometimes a hard row to plough but we have to keep on keeping on somehow. flowers and sunshine for us all.

Just about to go to get the click and collect and will have breakfast on our return.

Take care everyone and have the best day you can. Good luck on the National Urms and any one else having a flutter. I went to the National in 1962!

Morning all from a dry and brightening north Wales where I’m rather vexed? at being awake so early - I’ve been opening up DD’s office for the last few days while she had a break in Majorca and had planned a long lazy lie-in ??today ....Never mind there’s always tomorrow ?

No plans for the weekend apart from washing and meal prepping - I look forward to reading about everyone else with lots of nice stuff going on! Hope our lurgy negatives stay that way ?and ? to all with worries x

My chamberpot ☕️ awaits...

Morning Mick, morning All from a clear, cold corner of Somerset.

Hope to have a beach walk this morning, well wrapped up I think. No other plans so a wait and see afternoon. Will try to speak with our goddaughter who is struggling to cope.

Thinking of everyone with worries, hope Saturday is kind to us all.

Good morning, Mick, grandMattie et al from a fine morning in the Sarthe where we might even see that big yellow ball in the sky today!?

I expect you’re glad to be resuming your routine, Mick and what cheering news about Iris! Just what you need.

At last my DD2 has tested negative for Covid after 10 days. She feels better but has a sinus infection. I’m glad her Headteacher insisted she remained at home for the rest of the term. That didn’t stop her continuing to work on the admin associated with her rôle as Deputy.

I hope you remain well, Marydoll. ?We know of a few couples, including us, where one partner succumbs but not the other, despite both being around the potential source of the virus and being in close proximity to each other.

Wishing you all a few reasons to smile today. (The Matt cartoon is one for us, thanks, Urmstongran, especially the wheelbarrow in the background…!)

Good morning everyone, it looks like a slightly frosty start herein rural Wiltshire, but should be a nice sunny day I believe.
I need to get on with my decluttering of my craft room and be more decisive about getting rid of ‘stuff’. I was doing quite well a few months ago but my enthusiasm waned somewhat.
Hope you all have a peaceful weekend, hugs to those who need them x

Here’s Matt. ? ?

Good morning everyone from south Manchester. It’s just getting light and I can see the ridge of the Pennines. The Backbone of England. I like that description.

Well there’ll be plenty of punters off to Aintree on the train station platform across the road by mid morning! It’s nice to see the lads and lasses setting off in their finery.

We have had a bet on a sweepstake in our local bar. 40 sealed envelopes to pick one from so we don’t know the names of our horses ha! Be strange watching it and not knowing which horse to cheer on! Clever ... we will need to go into the bar next to find out who won. Maybe I’ll be ordering champagne. Yeah right.

Enjoy Grand National Saturday all who can. x

Good morning from a cold dry E Kent. We’re due a little sun this morning, which is nice.
Not especially good night, but hoping for a better day.
Iris told us that she passed a Grade 2 test on horses/riding/care? at RDA on Thursday. She is delighted of course.?
Successfully drafted new Wills. Our old ones appointed guardians for the infant offspring!
Hope today is good to all and Marydoll continues to test negative. Carpe diem. ??????
