No courier company would charge the recipient any extra, if, which is unlikely, there was an extra charge to be paid, it would be billed to the sender.

Surely if the card has been put through a letter box as a scam, then it would have been delivered to all the local houses as well in order to catch some one out. This is how text scams work, they are sent to thousands of email addresses at the same time.

A card delivered to a random house is unusual I think, I would go online to find a phone number for UPS in your area to see if they really have a parcel for you. Do not phone the number on the card just in case.

I don’t know of any courier who charges to redeliver a parcel. I would contact UPS and ask for the parcel details - the details should be on the card they left if it’s genuine.

UPS are not the only courier company being caught up in this scam.

Yes, I was caught in something similar but thankfully Fanny (wonder woman) put me right. I quickly got in touch with my bank and my card was cancelled. I actually thought I was pretty scam savvy but...... not so.

Very odd. In my experience UPS are very professional. Never had anything like this, but like many the usual email scams.

My friend was caught out with the Royal Mail 'text', she did put her credit card details in but luckily her daughter responded quickly.
