Good morning Mick and everyone from a bright Hull. It was a lovely day yesterday but chilly.

Our family afternoon yesterday was a joy. The DGC were delightful and I was in the garden with them for a good hour and most of it I was on the big scooter chased by DGD. Had lots of baby cuddles too can’t believe she’s almost 5 weeks old.

Today we have a free day so will take it fairly gently ready to have DGS all day tomorrow. I was going to get my mum from her caravan today after she called when the bird scarer in the field was terrifying her dog but messaged my brother so he went to get her straightaway. We’ll finish of the buffet from yesterday I think.
Take care everyone enjoy the birds lovely food and family. Hope Sunday brings moments of joy??

Morning from Cheshire ! Sunny and cold.
Just read about your dream Gagagran I have a recurring one too. I am always trying to get home but don't know how and everything I try doesn't work ! Could make
guesses as to the meaning . It's usually dark too !
Have a peaceful Palm Sunday everyone.

Good morning all from sunny but frosty Harrogate
I miss having wildlife in our garden, very few birds. Our bird feeder is not in view of the house. DH won’t have such things on the lawn. Our only trees are at the front of the house and we live in the back. At our last house we had loads of birds, some ducks even popped by to investigate our pond.
We had woodpeckers in the trees.
We also had a wonderful Bramley apple tree and DDs dog thought the were tennis balls and would whine by the tree, wanting to play with the “balls”
Hopefully I’ll make it to church today.
Have the best day possible folks

Good morning Mick and all from a chilly, but sunny Glasgow. Its -1°C here. This means that for the first time in two years, I will have to scrape my windscreen, before going for the Sunday papers. Mr MD used to do Saturday and I, Sunday, before lockdown. I even had to make my own early morning cuppa, this morning. Its a hard life! ?
I have of course, done an LFT. It was thankfully, negative. Frankly, I'm puzzled. Both DH and I had lots of cuddles from Dollie at the same time. Poor Mr MD, who is never unwell, is feeling very sorry for himself. ☹

Yesterday, I had a lovely surprise. I was on the phone, when I thought I heard someone in our back garden.
I looked out and saw DD and SI, complete with masks, building my early birthday, surprise, little greenhouse. I am chuffed to bits!
Today, I may go out into the garden and just stand and admire it! ?
I haven't been able to do much lately, but may tidy up my herb garden.

BlueBalou, I too have been clearing out my craft room, because useless hands have made crafting difficult. My new DD is the happy recipient of a Cricut, Big Shot and Sizzix machines. I am the MIL, I always wanted. ?
However, I did manage to repair a broken amethyst bracelet, which has lain broken all through the pandemic. #smug jewellery maker!
In the process, I discovered a forgotten stash of natural gemstones, gathered on my travels over the years, which has inspired me to start making some simple pieces again.

GM, I spent yesterday sorting the palms from Israel, in a peaceful and empty church. The sun was streaming through the windows and the stillness and peacefulness was just what I needed.

Wishing you all the best of Sundays and a gentle day for those of you, who have a difficult week ahead.?

Good Morning everyone from a bright and sunny but still chilly south coast. -1.4c. Set for a nice day and gradually warming up.

Had a strange night of dreams which always seem to involve waiting for someone either lost or who is late turning up. Not sure why I keep having similar themed dreams. Does anyone else have this?

It's laundry day here as DD and DGD (home from university) are coming round tomorrow so I wanted to get chores out of the way. DGD is one of life's positive enhancers and always makes us laugh with her exploits, which she enjoys sharing.

Sounds as if you managed a more restful night Mattie and I hope the day is a better one than of late, for you both. It is so difficult catering for someone with no appetite.

Take care everyone and have the best day you can.sunshine

Good morning all from a frosty but sunny Black country.
Had a disturbed nights sleep the smoke alarm started beeping at 3am battery needs changing, it didn't disturb DH he sleeps through anything.
Nothing planned for today take it as it comes.
Enjoy your Sunday everyone and may you all find some ?.

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s bright and sunny but with a very cold nip in the air
A lovely picture Ashcombe thanks for sharing, we’ve got a couple of bird feeders too but each year we seem to get fewer and fewer birds. I also enjoy listening to the dawn chorus pantglas just as I’m waking up
Today I’m hoping to get out into the garden again and crack on with the tidying up that need doing. Later on we’re looking after the DGC whilst their mum and dad are out for the evening
Hope everyone finds something to enjoy today and take care all whatever the day brings ?

Good morning everyone from the south coast where it looks like another sunny day is on the cards. I was up at six because Peggy needed to go out (unusual) so I’m already on my second cuppa!

My bird feeding station is occasionally visited by a lone bluetit, Pantglas and that’s it for small birds ? so I’m busy redesigning my new garden to encourage them and other ‘welcome’ wildlife.

A brand spanking new garden centre is opening tomorrow - just ten minutes away. I messaged my DGD and DGS’s girlfriend who are both teachers so on holiday, to ask if they would like to join me there and they both jumped at it. How lovely!

I hope everyone has an enjoyable Sunday. Glad things are a little more restful for you, GM.

Take care, all.

Morning Mick, morning All. Our corner of Somerset feels cold, it’s cloudy at tho moment

An enjoyable beach walk in bright sunshine yesterday was followed by a visit to a Food Fair which sorted lunch. Quiet one today. Some garden faffing to do, a need to tidy the guest room to reclaim the bed and a book to read. Guess I’ll cook a meal at some point too.

Enjoy the day all who can. Hope Sunday is kind.

Morning all from a bright but cold North Leicestershire.

We have Bertie and Wolfie today as it is Persie's 10th birthday party at a climbing venue.

Sending good vibes to all who need them.

BlueBalou Sun 10-Apr-22 06:54:13

Good morning everyone, let’s hope it’s a lovely sunny day today ?
I have a number of bird feeders too Ashcombe, we get many birds here, being on the edge of woodland. I had a pair of jays in the garden yesterday as well as a trio of pheasants. We see lots of blue tits and great tits but I haven’t had long-tail tits for a couple of years sadly.
I’m going to finish sorting my craft room today after walking DDog- across the fields I think this morning- then start crocheting another blanket. I need something mindless to do when listening to podcasts.
I need to do a bit of gardening sometime too, although it’s not looking too bad at the moment.
Have a lovely day everyone x

And a very good morning to you Mick - glad to see you’re taking things slowly - the world will still be there for tomorrow’s adventure ?

Well here’s another lie-in wot I’m owed....?. Seems once I’ve had my 7 hours abed there’s no more lolling allowed!

The dawn chorus is lovely of course and we get the dratted seagulls as well as the tiny tweeters Merlotgran - it’s the one reason I won’t let DH remove the last remaining hedgerow across our back garden. They have to have somewhere to rest their teeny wings whilst checking out possible intruders in the nesting boxes ? either side of our bedroom window ?

Our summerhouse needs re-staining so today’s the day...then polish off the remains of a bottle of Chardonnay before the vinegar fly gets to it - is that really a thing???

A peaceful Sunday to all x

Ashcombe Sun 10-Apr-22 06:26:42

Good morning, everyone, from a slightly frosty but bright Sarthe.

I agree about the lengthening days, grandMattie*; the better weather contributes to that, I think. I giggled about your palms annoying they rector! ?

Yesterday we even managed to enjoy being in the garden for an hour late afternoon. The birds have voracious appetites. If you look carefully, you can see one bird in flight below the two feeders on the left and a blue tit queuing in the shrub on the right to take his turn!

Every blessing to you all this Palm Sunday. ??????

grandMattie Sun 10-Apr-22 06:19:13

Good morning from a bright, clear E Kent. Haven’t the days seemed to have lengthened suddenly?
Not a bad night, so Lm all ready for church.
It’s Palm Sunday, and although I’m not able to attend Sunday School, I have made some cracking palms out of brown paper for the children to wave around (and probably annoy the rector who is very old school).
DH’s interest in food and appetite have dwindled to zero and it’s a bit of a struggle to find things he might like. Tonight I’ve got a beef and ale pie.
Hope you all hav3 a good day. Carpe diem. ?????❤️

Good Morning Everyone,
Its bright and a clear sky here in brackley this morning .
I did not bother to travel yesterday , in that cold wind chill , hoping to get back into routine as of tomorrow .
Today though will watch a bike race on TV , from a favourite part of the Netherlands in the Limburg region, of the Ardennes .
Take Care,
Mick
