Good Morning Everyone,
Its just getting light here in brackley this morning, today I will get back into my routine and visit Bicester for a coffee and snack plus a small shop.
Yesterday I renewed my senior railcard , and see we now have to provide a photo as well .
I also booked for a day trip in June to Cardiff on a coach.
Take Care,
Mick

Good Morning mick and everyone from a bright damp Hull
.
Bluebalou what a nightmare day for you yesterday no wonder you had a migraine in the end. ?

Bellasnana many congratulations on the safe birth of your twin DGs. How lovely hope you get snuggles soon.

Yesterday had a tiring day with DGs. At the park he abandoned his scooter to run to the ducks and a young girl took it to him and looked right at her and he said Thankyou. Such a big achievement for a boy who doesn’t talk to anyone. DH and I were almost in tears. That was the joy of our day.
Today it’s my fortnightly visit to my uncle with his shopping. I’ll pop a few bits into mum as well.
Have a good day everyone and hope Tuesday brings you a moment of joy??

Marydoll Tue 12-Apr-22 07:41:41

Sending my very best wishes for both you and your daughter, Kitty, I was unsure if today was your daughter's op. ?

Grandmabatty Tue 12-Apr-22 07:40:50

Kittylester best wishes to your daughter. It'll be an anxious day for you all. ?

Marydoll Tue 12-Apr-22 07:39:42

Pants, I am so envious! ? We stayed at Portmerion for DH's sixtieth birthday, because he was a fan of the Prisoner. I adored it, we had planned another trip, but unfortunately, the pandemic got in the way,

harrigran Tue 12-Apr-22 07:38:19

Good morning from a milder NE.
Washing and ironing all day yesterday.
No plans for today but the bathroom floors could do with a wash, where does all the blue fluff come from ? I have pink and cream towels.
Congratulations Bellasnana on the birth of your grandsons, so nice to hear happy news to start the day.

Gwenisgreat1 Tue 12-Apr-22 07:36:30

Good morning all from cloudy Harrogate
What lovely news Bellasnana twin boys!
Yesterday I slept in and the day just caught up with me. I did read some posts but didn’t have a chance to add to them.
Today it’s my art club this morning but I haven’t got my bag of tricks ready to take to the club, so I shall have to get a move on.
Good to hear you are ready for your adventures Mick
Have to admit I was tempted to volunteer to visit you Ashcombe Sarthe looks delightful!
What a palaver with your new car bluebalou. Hope it will be sorted soon
Have the best day possible folks

kittylester Tue 12-Apr-22 07:35:18

Good morning all from a cloudy North Leicestershire.

DD1 has her mastectomy op today ? so we will wait for a phone call saying all is well. My leg is getting better - but very slowly and poor DH is doing a great job of caring for me though the kitchen floor could do with a hoover!

Lovely to see you Bella and congratulations. Best wishes to the babies and your daughter.

Marydoll Tue 12-Apr-22 07:29:59

Good morning all from a wet Glasgow.

Bella, I was so delighted to see your post and read your good news! ???? I hope you are well.

I have a hospital appointment this afternoon and am quite apprehensive about driving there on my own, as I have lost my confidence. I have gone through the process of thinking about a number different routes, but still haven't decided. Public transport is not an option, as people have given up wearing masks, which makes me very nervous.
This is an appointment that was postponed at the beginning of the pandemic, which I am not prepared to cancel.
It has brought home to me how much I have come rely on Mr MD, in the last few years. That needs to change!

MrMD is quite unwell and I am concerned about the constant pain in his lower back. Apparently, this is another symptom of Covid, recently discovered, which one in five patients experience. It can take weeks to go away.
I have had eight negative LFTs in a row, since wee Dollie tested negative and five in a row, since DH tested positive. Hopefully, I have managed to get away with it. Thank goodness I have plenty LFTs.
Mr MD is a terrible patient, I may be about to lose my Florence Nightingale award for nursing. As I said on another thread, my tongue is raw from biting it! ?
Poor wee Dollie is now testing negative, but has been vomiting, so I'm also worrying about her, as she is also CEV..

So many on here are struggling for a variety of reasons, sending my very best wishes for a bearable day. ?
I am now going to read your posts, now that my cuppa and painkillers are kicking in and I am out of grumpy mode! ?

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s sunny, bright and dry - I’m hoping it’ll stay that way
Congratulations Bellasnanna what wonderful news and so lovely to hear from you. Such exciting times ahead and hoping it’s not too long until those gorgeous little baby boys are home
Today I’ll be carrying on with spring cleaning - yesterday it was a deep clean and tidy of the utility room and today I’ll be opening up and giving the conservatory a thorough clean as we don’t use it in the winter.
I feel for you BlueBalou how frustrating is that with your car - I’d be feeling so stressed with it all too, sending hugs
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, take care all whatever the day brings ?

Morning all from West Oxfordshire - no idea about the weather as I haven’t looked yet! Mick - I applied for a new Senior Rail Card too. I also sent in a photo as requested. Well, the new card arrived with no sign of my photo. What’s that all about? I am hoping to go to Oxford shopping this morning. Granddaughter’s birthday present, paint charts and one or two other things. I’m still getting fatigued from my recent bout of covid so hope I can last out. Zoom chat tonight with friends who still refuse to meet in person - and they’ve had covid. ???to lots of you.

Scentia Tue 12-Apr-22 07:09:20

Congratulations Bellasnanna ??

baubles Tue 12-Apr-22 07:08:36

Good morning Mick, morning all from damp South Lanarkshire.

I’m just waiting for DH to bring my coffee, I can hear him grinding beans. Three months after contracting covid I still can’t smell that delicious aroma though.

Another day at work, the manager is on annual leave till the middle of next week so I’m having to cover.

Congratulations Bellasnana, glad to hear your new grandsons are doing well.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Good morning from a dull start to the day in Essex by the sea. I'm hoping it will warm-up later
DD1 and the girls arrived about 2 yesterday. We went out for a walk as they had been stuck in the car for hours then drove to their hotel.
We had dinner there and then walked along to the amusements where they had lots of fun with very little outlay.
This morning DD2 and my other two granddaughters arrive.
We will go by train to meet the others and have a trip along the pier. It will be hectic but a lot of fun.
Congratulations Bellasnana on the birth of your twin grandsons, how lovely two for the price of one ?.
Have a lovely day everyone, enjoy the nice weather xx

cornergran Tue 12-Apr-22 07:01:40

Many congratulations to all bellasnana , good to see you.

cornergran Tue 12-Apr-22 07:00:11

Morning Mick, morning All. Our corner of Somerset is promised a showery day. It is milder which is welcome.

Got thoroughly bogged down yesterday, nothing went as we hoped. Oh well, it’s another day today and onwards. Grocery delivery first thing, a morning finishing yesterdays muddles before a visit to a solicitor to collect some legal paperwork about an issue on our development which will keep me quiet for a while. I must remember the two forms of identification for us both we apparently need.

Hope marydoll didn’t overdo it too much yesterday and mr and Mrs grandmattie had a decent night. Rest when you need to ash and anyone else recovering from covid. Many years of living with fibro have taught me that our bodies often know best.

Thinking of all finding life hard going. Hope Tuesday is kind to us all.

Ashcombe Tue 12-Apr-22 06:58:03

Congratulations to Bellasnna and welcome back! What happy news! Double delight! ????

Pantglas2 Tue 12-Apr-22 06:57:57

Morning Mick and earlybirds from a dry Machynlleth where DH and I have decamped to visit the Centre for Alternative Technology after a Full Monty this morning- I’m ravenous and could eat the proverbial ?

Stopped off at lovely but windy Portmeirion yesterday for lunch and the place was packed with visitors- lovely to see at long last!

That gorgeous quilt GrandMattie- what a clever and patient person you are with all you have going on at the moment x

Hope others loved ones are better and no more positive tests please....?

Grandmabatty Tue 12-Apr-22 06:54:07

Lovely to hear from you Bellasnana! And lovely news. Congratulations on your new grandsons. ❤️

Beechnut Tue 12-Apr-22 06:52:37

Good Morning everyone from Severnside. It’s raining this morning and coming from a different direction which is unusual.

I’m having my first cuppa in bed after not getting into bed until 4.15 am. I had put a blanket over me in the chair and fell asleep. I must have been really tired as I didn’t even see the end of Coronation Street.
Today I will be diy shopping and hope to sort something out with the bank.
Your home does look in a peaceful place Ashcombe

Have a good day all ?

Grandmabatty Tue 12-Apr-22 06:52:25

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 5° but feels much colder. It's damp too. An unprepossessing start to the day. It sounds like you are getting back to normal Mick. A nice surprise for you Gagagran. Rest when you need to Ash. My friends have commented on how tired they still are after covid.
Yesterday was a baking day. I made little lemon cupcakes and biscuits which were 'supposed' to be lambs, carrots and bunnies. The bunnies' ears fell off, the lambs needed urgent vet care and the carrots look nothing like carrots! They taste alright.
Today I'm up early again as my sleep is truly horrible just now. Hopefully it will settle down. I'm looking after dgs1 today to help out dd. It's a pleasure to do. If he arrives soon enough, there will be a trip to the fish man and maybe puddle splashing like we used to do. Dinosaurs and trains will figure in the play. I'll let him loose with icing some of the biscuits (already regretting that decision). Whatever you are up to, have a good day.

Bellasnana Tue 12-Apr-22 06:51:30

Good morning from Malta where the weather is not that great. We are having a lot of wind blowing dust around from the Sahara.

I haven’t posted in a while but wanted to share some good news with you all. On Saturday at 4am my DD3 gave birth to twin boys by emergency C-section 7 weeks early. All are doing well but the babies will be in the NICU for some time until they have gained weight. Their names are Jamie and Jax and I’m one very proud and grateful Nana.??

Thinking of you all, especially those with such a lot to bear. ?

BlueBalou Tue 12-Apr-22 06:49:10

Good morning everyone, a damp start here today.
Well yesterday was a complete mess, I couldn’t get into my new car, neither fob worked. Went to Ford garage, new batteries for the fobs, return home and....neither would work. Spent next hour fruitlessly phoning the garage I bought it from ( didn’t want to know), car breakdown people (‘if you can’t get into the car we can’t help’) - that’s with having home start too! Eventually four calls to the garage later they sent out Ford Assistance (lovely AA ma) who said he’s seen 8 Ford Puma cars with this problem. He gets it started (apparently the battery was drained, nothing obvious as to the cause), tells me to go for an hours drive, which I do.
I returned with a migraine, spent the afternoon being ?. Car is booked into the garage next Wednesday and in the meantime I just have to hope it behaves. As the sole driver, living very rurally I am on tenterhooks.
Why can’t life be simple?
Anyway, haircut today. DH is Covid positive and symptomless thank god, but is blaming me for it.
I just want to run away...........
Hope you all have a peaceful peaceful day x
