Good morning from a sunny W Kent. Waiting for my brother to appear sometime this morning depending of traffic! I imagine we will sit and talk and catch up maybe in the garden if it is as warm as yesterday.
Good wishes to all.

Good morning from sunny Colchester. Not at warm as yesterday but it'll do.

DH is fretting as his colleague pranged the hired minibus on the way home yesterday and "there is nobody in the office until Tuesday!" Said minibus has minor damage and is on our drive and won't be collected until Tuesday...he won't be happy until then.
His week's washing is in the machine and will dry nicely on the line.
I took the covers off the garden furniture yesterday and was amazed by the amount of leaves, spiders etc. that had managed to get into every crevice.
Must go and help with sorting and tidying the stuff that has appeared all over the house!

Love to all ?x

Good morning everyone from a beautiful spring day in Northampton.

Plans are to hop on the bus to our local little retail park, have a mooch around and a bite to eat. Then sit in the garden and read this afternoon. I may continue with a bit of weeding, but was worn out yesterday after doing only half an hour.

And that's about it for today - oh, just remembered I brought the cushions in from the garden bench because they need a good scrub, so will do that and get them on the line.

Picture shows how i spent yesterday afternoon - I managed to finish the book (and the wine!)

GMBatty, I had decided to sleep in our bed last night, as we no longer need to isolate and MrMD was fretting.
I found myself in the spare room bed, I think it was subconscious, as I was getting quite used to having a comfy bed, going to sleep, when I wanted and sleeping in a snoreless zone!!! ?

Baubles, I'm sorry to hear the job is so taxing, due to lack of volunteers. Hopefully, when things settle down, more people will volunteer.

Unfortunately, DH has just tested positive again and is in an extremely grumpy mood because of this! I think I may lay low today! ?

Good morning all its a beautiful sunny one here in East Yorkshire.

We are up early as we are heading out somewhere today. Not sure where but as DH isn’t up to driving too far it may be Beverley for a few hours. Will be home for mid afternoon as there is a football match later ?

Yesterday we took Easter gifts round to the family as they are away for a few days from today. Then we spent a lovely afternoon with Shazza and Mr S . Sat in the garden and as she says the time flew by. I couldn’t believe the time when we got in the car to come home ! Thank you Shazza.

Take care everyone.

Good morning from a bright, sunny South Yorkshire.

The weather was gorgeous yesterday, too, so we were able to sit outside for our coffee, which made a lovely change.

DH then decided to cut the grass, so our gardens now look presentable again ?.

Marydoll it was 14 days before my SiL’s partner got a negative LFT result, so your DH might have to wait a little longer before he gets his negative result.

A pottering day today and possibly try once more to contact BT (though I doubt I will reach anyone as it’s the bank holiday weekend). We’ve been without our land line for a month now - there was a wider issue affecting many people to start with, but everyone else appears to be back up and running except us. I had a brainwave (?) of trying my landline number using my mobile to see if it connected with the exchange - it didn’t, it connected to someone else’s landline, so obviously there’s a crossed wire situation. Trying to get people at the BT call centre to understand this is like pulling teeth. All I get is a generic text saying the original issue is resolved and your landline is now connected. Yes, I suppose it is - just to someone else! To say I’m frustrated by it all is an understatement. ?

Oh well, deep breath time, and keep trying I suppose. It’s where to try next that’s the problem.

Anyway, enough of my moaning. I hope everyone has a peaceful Easter Saturday. Take care. ??

Morning Mick and all

What a glorious day yesterday, we went to middle sons for lunch, we ate in the garden, it was lovely and warm with clear blue sky and bright sunshine. The GSs are growing like weeds, both now taller than me (they are 13 & 12)

Off to youngest sons this morning, (he lives just down the road with DDs home being in the middle of us) again we shall be in their garden with coffee and cake whilst the GC play on their numerous garden toys and their play houses (his and hers)

I intend to spend this afternoon in our garden with my book.

Keep safe and well folks ?‍♀️?

Good morning all from Polmont. Grey skies at the moment and 8° but I'm hopeful for a nice day. Marydoll it's good to hear you sounding more like yourself. Whose bed did you end up in? ? Grandmattie it was nice to hear about your husband being well enough to garden. Baubles don't overdo things in that shop.
Yesterday was a busy day at home. Shopping, cleaning, washing and weeding, all tiring verbs! However I'm glad to have got most of it out of the way. I already have the bedding in the washing machine this morning. Later I'm meeting a friend for breakfast then I have to call in on my cousin with a birthday present. I have pork chops for dinner. Have a good day all.

cornergran Sat 16-Apr-22 08:03:51

Thanks mary - I assure you no skill involved just a good guess. grin.

Marydoll Sat 16-Apr-22 07:45:38

Good morning all from a cloudy Glasgow, where Alexa tells me its 9°C

You sound as if you had a good day yesterday, GM. I'm sure the district nurse has seen many in their pyjamas, no need to be embarrassed.
Ash, I wouldn't mind a visit to your supermarket!

I have nothing much to report, (sighs of relief all round), as I spent much of yesterday in bed watching Turkish dramas, resting.
The anti virals seemed to be doing their job of keeping me out of hospital, but as predicted, combined with all my other meds, leaving me very nauseous.
However, It is a small price to pay.

I got up during the night, feel sick and to my amusement, away with the fairies,, with a befuddled brain, I found myself back in the wrong bed. ?
Perversely, I feel as if a great weight has been lifted from my shoulders, now that I have actually caught Covid.

Mr MD, is feeling a bit better, but much to his annoyance, his LFTs don't show that.
His golfing partner is delivering his Racing Post,, so that will keep him out of mischief for a couple hours. He must be on the mend, as he couldn't be bothered to read it last week.

My son messaged to say, that despite appearing, not to be overly concerned about me, Mr MD is actually worried sick, bless him. He is a man of little or no words, it must be hell, living with some one as loquacious as me! ?

I wish you all a pleasant Easter Saturday, unfortunately, as I am Mary nae pals ☹ at the moment, I have no plans. I wonder why? ?

PS, Cornergran, what a cracking Wordle score this morning. Covid brain has caused me to fail miserably. ?

Gingster Sat 16-Apr-22 07:39:15

Good morning all and it’s sunny here in Essex.
Yesterday was glorious - very warm - the eggs for the Easter hunt were in danger of melting , and some did ! ?☀️.

We had a lovely day with all the family. So much chocolate we could open a shop. We must cut down next year - we’ll be eating it til Christmas!

I was so tired last night, I fell sound asleep for a couple of ours in the armchair and then, of course, couldn’t drop off once in bed. ?.

GM - lovely to hear of your dh pottering in the garden and enjoying his food. It will have given him (and you) a much needed boost.

Hopefully a quiet day of reading the papers , crosswords and Wordle. That will do for me!

Hoping your days see some joy and peace!
???

No Matt. He must be off for an Easter break.

Good morning everyone from south Manchester where we have mostly white cloud but if I squint, I can make out some pools of blue sky. Temperature highs of 17°C later.

The little family through the park are taking buckets, spades and a picnic basket to Lytham beach. We plan a stroll around the town centre. We will call in our favourite bar afterwards but I’m not drinking - so Himself will enjoy a pint and I’ll have the ubiquitous lime & soda.

We haven’t heard from our Yorkshire Lass much so I’ll ring and pester her today. Enjoy Saturday all who can. x

Ladyleftfieldlover Sat 16-Apr-22 07:38:29

Morning all from West Oxfordshire. I should have been volunteering today at a nearby property. However this post-covid fatigue won’t go away. There’s no no way I can stand in a room all day being knowledgeable! I spent yesterday at Kew Gardens with my granddaughter and afterwards was drained. I could barely put one foot in front of the other. Fortunately I met my younger son at Paddington (he is home for the Easter weekend) so he helped with my bags. Such a pain. I know many people who are still suffering fatigue. At least I have prepared most of the Easter Sunday feasting and leg of lamb is easy. Son will cook us all fish pie tonight. He makes the best. ???to lots of you and don’t eat too much chocolate tomorrow!

BlueBalou Sat 16-Apr-22 07:35:41

Good morning everyone, I hope you all have a lovely day.
I really enjoyed the sunshine yesterday, it makes such a difference to how I feel.
I sat outside and did some crocheting, planted up my hanging baskets and pootled about.
Today I have to tackle the ironing, sort out the fridge and do a bit of weeding. Nothing too exciting!

ShazzaKanazza Sat 16-Apr-22 07:26:33

Good Morning Mick and everyone from a bright Hull. Another lovely spring day promised. It’s good to see you out enjoying your routine Mick.

Lovely to hear about your DH helping in the garden grandMattie. Your birthday dinner sounds delish. ?

We had a lovely afternoon sat out with Grandmadinosaur and her DH. The afternoon flew by so quickly as it does when you are in good company.

Today we are picking up DGS for a few hours and later this afternoon after taking him back going out with friends for a meal.
Take care everyone and hope Easter Saturday brings a moment of joy??

brook2704 Sat 16-Apr-22 07:25:57

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s a lovely sunny start to the day and a warm day up to 17º forecast
I admire your diy skills Beechnut - well done!
DD2 and family are still away on holiday so it’ll be a quiet weekend for us just pottering about and doing outdoor jobs. I’m part way through clearing out the shed and the garage, DH is a bit of a hoarder when it comes to plant pots, bits of string, screws, wood etc but I’m sneaking some of it into the bin when he’s not looking ..
Hope you can get some more volunteers soon Baubles to help ease the workload a bit - I’d pop into help myself but you’re a bit too far away!
Good to hear your DH had a better day yesterday grandmattie
Hope everyone finds something to enjoy this Easter Saturday, take care all whatever the day brings ?

cornergran Sat 16-Apr-22 07:11:23

Morning Mick, morning All from a bright corner of Somerset

The cloud cleared quickly yesterday encouraging a very relaxed couple of hours by a National Trust beach. Some walking and a lot of sitting. There’s some garden faffing to do today and we must do a top up shop. Other than that a quiet day for us

Pleased life is getting back to your usual pattern Mick. Enjoy the sun all who can

Hope Saturday is kind to us all.

grandMattie Sat 16-Apr-22 07:10:41

Good morning from a glorious E Kent.
I’m late today.I had to go to the supermarket to try to get some pyjama bottoms for DH, anything else is too tight across his tummy.
He had a really good day. He decided to “garden” by weeding the pots and our large tub, ready for his tomatoes, lettuce and cucumbers. He thoroughly enjoyed himself but it was exhausting. He slept the rest of the afternoon and is still asleep.
We had a delicious meal of venison steak, homemade chips and salad. Nice birthday meal.
We thought nothing would happen yesterday, everything did from the district nurse arriving when we’d just finished breakfast and we’re still in our pyjamas! Mortifying.
Hope today brings relief and happiness to everyone l. Carpe diem. ??????☀️☀️

baubles Sat 16-Apr-22 06:57:21

Good morning Mick, morning all from South Lanarkshire where it’s looking quite bright.

Good to hear that you’re getting back to normal Mick.

I must confess to feeling a little tired this morning. We are really low on volunteers just now so there’s lots to do and the work can be quite physical but I’m sure the exertion is good for me.

Wishing everyone a peaceful day, especially those coping with illness or worry. ??

Beechnut Sat 16-Apr-22 06:41:48

Good Morning everyone from Severnside. It’s promising to be another lovely day. It was very hot in the greenhouse yesterday.

I’m glad you’ve reminded me it’s Saturday Mick. I kept thinking it was yesterday because I did my weekly shop a day early and my neighbours were all home.

I took the old toilet seat off the downstairs loo yesterday. What a palaver! There is not much room to work either side and I had to use a mirror. I will fit the new one today.

Beechnutella will be here later and I’d like her help to move a bench out of the shed, where to put it for the time being is another matter.

Have a good day all ???

Gagagran Sat 16-Apr-22 06:28:46

Good Morning everyone from a clear and bright south coast. We had a lovely day yesterday and are promised another such today. We hit 20c so hope for more of the same today.

Off to get the click and collect at 7 and will call for weekly treat of the paper. DH is out with his bike club this morning and I am up to date with my pottering so will enjoy the paper!

Hope the day is a good one for us all but especially for those with caring duties for sick loved ones and all those with worries of whatever kind. flowers

Take care and enjoy this lovely spring. sunshine

Ashcombe Sat 16-Apr-22 06:19:22

Good morning, Mick and those who follow. I’m glad you’re back into your routine of outings now, Mick and hope you stay well.

Another glorious day yesterday saw us eating on the terrasse for all three meals. Today promises to be similar so I hope others are enjoying the Spring sunshine.

We shall do our final shopping trip today for items to take home early next week. I’ve already stocked up on wine boxes and fizz plus tinned veg in small tins and decaf Nespresso coffee pods, the latter being available in Lidl here but not in the TQ branches near my home.
,
Wishing you a pleasant Easter Saturday and I hope those in sick bay have slept well and have a good day. ??????
