It’s a fact that she’ll soon be teased by other youngsters about her weight, so why not help her beforehand? I was chubby as a child and as a teenager became borderline anorexic.

Anorexia is a very real problem amongst young girls and boys too.

I remember how those slim and healthy gymnasts suffered from being fat-shamed by their coaches and have suffered ever since.

Maddyone I'm not sure if I really know how to spot trolls. I thought I recognised all the names on this thread. I need to wise up and pay more attention!

You're commenting public ly on a child's appearance. Do you walk down your road making derogatory comments about various children's weight, looks etc?

Well it’s not us is it Coastpath? I don’t think the grans on here will be horrible about a child, the problem is that trolls are saying unkind things.

If you do a quick Google search Jane you’ll find lots of pictures of Harper Beckham. I just did one to see and there are a lot, especially if you look at images. I’m not convinced it’s a good thing to do really.

All those recent wedding photos and the one that sticks out in my mind is David Beckham leaning out of a car window talking to his kids. The beaming smile on his face was 100% pure love and pride.

They seem like a happy, loving family and Harper is a bonny, lively girl who was having a hoot at the wedding with her pals. Shall we let her be?

I agree with trisher. it’s a lovely photograph. I’m just wondering though if it would be better for the Beckhams to stop sharing so many photos of their child and let her grow up out of the public gaze.

Children seem to ebb and flow.
One minute they're short, then suddenly tall, slim at some points, chunkier at others.
