Mine, at the moment, is a homemade cocktail and a cup of tea, with sips taken from each alternately. ??

I once thought that living in a comfortable home where I could see both the ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway would be heaven and it was for 10 years. Heaven now is sitting back and enjoying the memories.

Hope you're doing ok after the hip operation Naughtyneine. That first week is the worst.

Sitting in my garden, sun shining with a mug of builders’ tea, a good book and the neighbours moggy purring at my feet

Just sitting somewhere warm, looking out over the sea with a frozen daiquiri in my hand.

To be summer sunshine all year round. No coats or jumpers. To have all my teeth in good health. To have a clutter free house with just the things we use. = work on this one often. To have monthly family meet ups outdoors somewhere - not at my house due to all the cleaning , kettle on and food cooking. For all people to get along and everyone be equil.

What a lovely memory to have ?

Lupin Fri 22-Apr-22 14:28:55

To all of you putting up with horrid things - my sympathies.
I have had my share of those too, and I wish you all good things instead.
As for my own personal heaven, well I agree with so many of these. Getting lost in a good book or film while curled up in a warm place I think.
Someone telling me I'd lost weight comes pretty near the top too, as does sinking my teeth into a piece of the carrot cake from Delia Smith's Food Aid book.
I have a memory of my mum sitting like a contented cat watching all her brood ( her chicks as she used to call us )_
laughing whilst preparing a barbecue in her garden. I got a feeling of pure happiness from her at that moment.

To read through an entire conversation on here and find absolutely no snide political references. Maybe tomorrow!!

Lying in the long grass listening to a skylark twittering high above and a grasshopper climbing a stalk next to me with my dog lying nearby and my horse munching the grass.
This is a memory of a long ago childhood but it’s also my heaven.

Fernhillnana Fri 22-Apr-22 14:15:07

Just my garden on a sunny day with the dogs playing and me in the greenhouse pottering.

Living on my own for the amount of years I have left.. …. I have been looking after and been 24/7 carer to a person who doesn’t know who the hell I am …. That’s been 27 years now. I’m tired ! I want to be on my own!

Bluesmum Fri 22-Apr-22 13:42:43

To be with my son and very dear dil in their lovely garden in the Perth suburb where they live in Western Australia after over two years of enforced separation. I applied for my visa two months ago and still no news!

SillyNanny321 Fri 22-Apr-22 13:36:07

No more pain. Then a walk by the sea with my Grandchildren. No more money worries for my DS & DDiL. Peace & happiness everywhere!

In heaven there are no coat hangers !!!
Why do they always get tangled up ????

God, I hate coat hangers! The way they all gang up against you when you are short of time.....

To buy a house overlooking Widemouth Bay in Cornwall. My happy place. Nice dream but never going to happen

Lizzie44 Fri 22-Apr-22 12:47:47

Waking up and discovering that the last 2+ years were just a dream/nightmare and my life has returned to its previous happy, fulfilling, anxiety-free existence.
