Mine, at the moment, is a homemade cocktail and a cup of tea, with sips taken from each alternately. ??

In your honour Lucca I will push the bastard off the white cliffs of Dover with some sacks

Finding a really good book in the library.

Chocolatelovinggran Thu 21-Apr-22 20:31:30

Curlywhirly, may I join you?

Harris27 Thu 21-Apr-22 20:13:08

A day off work. A nice mug of tea and my favourite book heaven!

Curlywhirly Thu 21-Apr-22 20:02:52

Lying in the sun on a sunlounger on a beach (or by a pool) somewhere in Italy, with a bottle of bubbly on ice, a bowl of olives and plate of crisps and a good book. Or, with the same refreshments sat outside in a pavement cafe (again in Italy) watching the world and his wife doing the passeggiata.

Holding my new born grandchild and looking at her tiny fingers. I am smitten.

Todays heaven was a massage, facial, and then a meal on the sun terrace overlooking the Estuary with the tide in.

BlueSapphire Thu 21-Apr-22 16:49:26

And of course, wishing DH were next to me........

Redhead56 Thu 21-Apr-22 16:49:13

Heaven to be free of worries for my DC and their families.

BlueSapphire Thu 21-Apr-22 16:47:43

Sitting on the sunny deck of a cruise ship, just watching the sea, glass of bubbly in hand - hope to be doing that in August!

icanhandthemback Thu 21-Apr-22 16:45:36

nadateturbe, we must be on the same wavelength today. As I opened the thread, exactly what you said was what I was planning to write! I'd add Ben & Jerries, Haagen Daz and carrot cake to the list too! Of course, I'd have to be without diabetes and the auto immune thing that is attacking my mouth at the moment to be able to really enjoy all those things.

Severnsider Thu 21-Apr-22 16:43:24

Sitting in the sunshine in the garden surrounded by spring flowers, the silence broken by the twittering of blackbirds.

nadateturbe Thu 21-Apr-22 16:41:22

To be able to eat chocolate whenever I want with no ill effects or putting on weight.

Blossoming and Lucca flowers

Yammy Thu 21-Apr-22 16:39:19

After seeing some college reunion photos the same as GSM.
All who had been thin myself included had ballooned and the one who fought with her weight was like a rake and all toned up. She looked at least 10 years younger than the rest figure wise but not as jolly or content somehow.

lovebeigecardigans1955 Thu 21-Apr-22 16:36:43

Feet up, cup of tea, a good book and the ability to eat lots of cake without any ill effects in the teeth, health or weight-gain departments. Not too much to ask for, surely?

Blinko Thu 21-Apr-22 16:35:34

The mattress is turned, the mattress topper is washed and back on the bed, clean sheets dried outdoors - sheer bliss!

Lucca Thu 21-Apr-22 16:32:17

Sorry. Bringing the tone down.

Ok ….here’s another one. Hearing Boris had been sacked.

Lucca Thu 21-Apr-22 16:31:02

A phone call from the oncologist saying it was all a mistake….
