merlotgran Tue 26-Apr-22 08:00:03

Good morning everyone from a lovely sunny but chilly south coast.

I will also be planting up baskets and pots today. I’ve upcycled some large plastic pots that were left behind by the previous owner so now they need filling!!

Hope everyone has a trouble free day.

Oopsadaisy1 Tue 26-Apr-22 07:59:41

Good Morning Mick it will be nice for you to watch places where you have cycled in the past. You will know first hand how hard it is!
Well it’s cold but the sun is coming up in Oxfordshire.
Happy Birthday LFL?
? to you too GrannySomerset
Really, so many of you deserve flowers ??
Phase 2 of operation Spring Clean today, the dreaded Kitchen cupboards….. made some ginger snaps for MrOops who said they weren’t very Gingery, not sure why, but maybe the clue was in the sell by date on the Ginger- 2011, which is odd as I remember buying it and it seemed very recent to me !
Anyway, shifted all the furniture in the sitting room yesterday and cleaned and sorted and cleaned the Conservatory, can’t move the furniture in the dining room, so that was an easy one.
Lots more to do, just as well I can keep busy since having Covid I can’t drink wine or my usual G &T, makes me so ill…….?
Have a good day everyone and hugs to those with cares and worries.

Gagagran Tue 26-Apr-22 07:58:40

Good Morning everyone from a very sunny and clear south coast. We've still got the sneaky cool wind though and desperately need some rain. Everything in the garden is in need of a good soak.

Our window cleaner texted to say he is due today. He last came the day before we got the Saharan dust blowing in and covering the windows, car etc. so hope there is no repeat of that tomorrow!

I still haven't sorted my wardrobes out as my energy levels were very low yesterday and I kept falling asleep.

Always thinking of Mattie and her DH and hope they have a better day than expected. Also Marydoll off on her hols! Hope you have a great time.

Wishing everyone a good day whatever is in store and wherever they are going. sunshine

mumofmadboys Tue 26-Apr-22 07:52:37

Happy birthday LLFL. Have a lovely day.
Hope your DH's needle biopsy goes smoothly GM.
We are still in Portugal but have left our sons house and are now staying in a hotel by the sea. Weather has picked up too. Hopefully will be good for you Pittcity ( not sure I have the name right there!)

Gwenisgreat1 Tue 26-Apr-22 07:50:08

Oh Marydoll The East Neuk of Fife is so beautiful you don’t need to gad about! Just drink it all in, the scenery is beautiful.

Grandmabatty Tue 26-Apr-22 07:49:34

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 5° and grey looking skies. Happy birthday Ladyleftfieldlover. Have a lovely day. Marydoll enjoy your break away. The East Neuk is so lovely with its wee fishing villages.
Yesterday was busier than expected as dgs1 wanted to come to my house after nursery. So we had four hours of playing. He was such fun after he's eaten. He is not fun when he's hungry. The usual trains were out. And dinosaurs of course. He did some drawing too. My slow cooker chicken worked out.
Today I have two social events. I'm meeting friends for an early lunch then later on I'm meeting other friends at our local town hall to see 'Hello Dolly'. It's not my favourite musical but it'll be nice to go out. I'm a bit anxious about it though. Whatever you are doing, have a good day all.

Sar53 Tue 26-Apr-22 07:46:46

Marydoll Tue 26-Apr-22 07:26:17

Happy birthday, LLFL, have a lovely day! ???

Marydoll Tue 26-Apr-22 07:23:52

Good morning all from Glasgow where its 6° C.

This mornng we are off to the East Neuk of Fife for a few days, where DD has rented the same fisherman's cottage, which we stayed in last year. It is right on the shoreline, in a very peaceful spot.
My GP thinks it is a good idea to go, but I am under strict instructions, to take things easy and none of my usual gadding about. I'm still having bouts of nausea, but hopefully that won't stop me enjoying the lunch, we have booked for today. I haven't been eating much. Well, that is actually untrue, I have developed a craving for chocolate!
One benefit of having Covid, is I have lost a little bit of weight.

I spent ages yesterday, looking for a brand new Regatta padded hoodie, I bought months ago. It was nowhere to be found, I began to doubt I had ever bought it and even went online to check my orders. Eventually I went back to where I thought it was, there it was! Why and how does that happen? ?
PS. My home is extremely tidy, I just have too many clothes. blush

I was talking to a friend yesterday, who's wife, like me had anti virals about a month ago. Telling him that he had sold me, a bum steer, that unlike his wife, they had badly affected me, he replied, ^ Sorry about that, but I' m glad to hear that Covid hasn't affected your tongue in anyway!!^ ?

For all those with appointments today, I hope they go well and for those with mountains to climb, I wish you all a pleasant and peaceful day.

ShazzaKanazza Tue 26-Apr-22 07:23:42

GoodMorning Mick and everyone from a dull Hull morning. The heating felt lovely when we walked out of our bedroom.
It’s good to know a little about you Mick and why you like cycling so much that you used to race as well.
Ash it’s great to hear your app with the cardiologist went well.
grandMattie hope your DH doesn’t have to much of an uncomfortable exhausting day today with all the comings and goings?
Hope you get an appointment for you DH Ginster after standing in the queue.
Happy 69th birthday Ladyleftfieldlover. ?

Today it’s my visit to my uncle with his shopping and picking up Mum, the dog and her stuff and taking her to her caravan for another couple of weeks.
DS is coming to stay with us overnight straight after work he’s requested his dad makes a smoked haddock risotto.

Take care everyone and hope Tuesday will bring a moment of joy. ??

cornergran Tue 26-Apr-22 07:12:33

Morning Mick , morning All from a bright corner of Somerset.

After spending ages completing the on line form for our surgery a standard message bounced back - routine appointments in 4-5 weeks, phone if it’s more urgent. I phoned to be told if I want to see or speak to anyone before I must either be in a surgery queue at 8am (better than gingsters 7am) or phone at that time. Well, as the pharmacist said get thee to a GP I’d better try, wish me luck.

Other than that it’s garden pottering for me today. I’m looking forward to getting the ladder out and re-shaping the forsythia. Love that sort of thing.

A very happy birthday to LLFL, safe trip to your husband Ash, hope you secure that appointment gingster and today is manageable for you both grandmattie. Enjoy the cycling mick.

Good wishes to all, special thoughts to those with heartache and a hope that Tuesday is gentle with us all.

TheodoraP Tue 26-Apr-22 07:12:00

It's a sunny start here in London

My day will consist of working from home which makes you lazy

Can not wait fir my retirement

Have a good day everyone x

Beechnut Tue 26-Apr-22 07:06:41

Good Morning everyone from Severnside. It’s cool and fresh.
A normal Tuesday for me apart from not going swimming. I had a lovely catch up with my brother last night. He looked well and smiley. A lot has been going on for him and he’s been looking very weary lately.

Wishing you a Happy Birthday * Ladyleftfieldlover* ??

The things people do for loved ones Ginster ? I hope you don’t have to wait too long.

Have the best day you can all and safe trips ??

Urmstongran Tue 26-Apr-22 07:03:55

*latest, not ‘last’.

Urmstongran Tue 26-Apr-22 07:02:52

Here’s Matt.

Good morning everyone from Malaga where it’s warm already. The sun’s just up and we have highs of 20°C forecast.

Tuesdays = LWW afternoon. Yay! ?? I can’t wait to see my two friends who live out here for a catch up. Also coming are two ladies who, like me, are out on holiday from the UK. One from Bolton, one from Norton in Yorkshire. They both have apartments in this block too. I’ve brought 3 issues of the ‘Saga’ magazine out with me. My LWW do enjoy reading them.

I’ve nothing much to do before then. A shower, make up (I love taking my time doing it), read a little more of the last Anne Tyler novel, ‘French Braid’ which I’m loving. Then out the door at 1pm to nip into the salon downstairs for my wash & blow appointment (which I booked before I left last time).

Many happy returns of the day to you LLFL (such an unusual choice of name, I’m curious?). Enjoy your lunch!

Hope Tuesday is kind to us all. Special thoughts to your household grandMattie I’m glad the support you need is being offered. Ashcombe good to hear your hospital appointment went well. You seem to be in excellent (and kind) hands. Safe journey back for olddudders such a quick turnaround. Was it something you said? (Only joking!). ?
