Nurse at surgery today for bloods, weight etc, lunch with a friend, Tesco delivering later and Friday is pub night.
Tricky day Pantglas but with many memories.

When we were in Lisbon and Oporto at this time of year about 6 years ago, the temperatures were in the 40C. Murderously hot! ?

Good morning from Lisbon where we've yet to open the hotel curtains but the forecast is 25°.
Planning to do the bus tour to find out what's what. But first a shower and buffet breakfast.

Good morning all from a chilly and cloudy Cellardyke, where it is only 4°C.
We have had the loveliest and gentlest of holidays, but I am read to go home.
I have developed a hacking post Covid cough, which has left me exhausted. Poor DH had little sleep last night, due to my continuous coughing.

Yesterday morning was spent, visiting the picturesque fishing villages of Elie and St Monans, whisky tasting (we had to drag DH and SIL from the shop, before they bankrupted us, and got tipsy,) followed by a traditional fish tea in the award winning Anstruther fish bar (chippie). The generous whisky shop owner showed us a bottle of 1912 whisky, which had no price, since it was the only one left in the world!
I have some lovely, picturesque, photos, but for some reason I cannot post them, either from my phone or tablet. The reception here is very poor.

We planned to go home via St Andrew's, so that DH can browse the golf shops. However, he thinks I should go home, but I don't want to spoil things for him. We shall see how I feel in a couple of hours. We have to be out the cottage by 10 am, so I have a few hours to feel better.
I thought I had a fever, I am in fact sunburned, despite slapping on factor 50 suncream. We have been so blessed with the weather.

I am so envious of Pittcity and MOMB, Lisbon and Porto were on my bucket list. ☹ Have a lovely time.
Pants, a sad but bittersweet day for you. I'm sure lots of reminiscing will be done. ?
I was wondering how *Bellanonna's twin grandchildren were doing, I hope all is well.

For those of you with mountains to climb and worn down by worry and ill health, I wish you a gentle and peaceful day.

Good morning from another dull day in Oxfordshire

I must wrap up warm today and get some gardening done, even if it’s just mowing the lawns.
Apart from that MrOops is out to breakfast then coming back with his mate to rewatch the F1 series on Netflix, we’ve seen it already (Drive to survive, excellent 4 seasons) but his mate was involved in F1 and somehow missed it.
I’ll do my ironing…….

Morning Mick, morning All from a bright, chilly corner of Somerset.

Mr C is delighted with his replacement hearing aids as am I, he was missing so much. Today we’re wandering to a retail park, having cleared some wardrobe space there’s room for a new top or two. The plan is to use an about to expire voucher towards lunch before wandering back. I hope for a phone catch up with a friend later.

Safe trip Ash and all travellers. 21 degrees would be more than welcome momb, enjoy your last day. Hope today is as positive grandmattie and Friday is kind to us all.

Good morning from Essex by the sea where the sun is doing it's best to appear. It has been so cold these last few days.
I have packing to finish today and we have birthday presents to deliver. The twins will be five whilst we are in France. I can remember the day they were born, huddled together in the same cot in hospital. Now they are happy and healthy and enjoying school.

Good morning everyone from Malaga where we had torrential rain last night from 8pm. It was still chucking it down when I went to bed! (and here was me advising you to take a cardigan to Portugal Pittcity! ?)

It’s dry at present. I have no idea what we’ll do, see how the day (and weather) unfolds first.

Our last full day in Portugal today. Weather lovely -due to be about 21. We saw our 2 sons who live here yesterday again but have today to ourselves. Lazy day on the beach and a gentle walk. I will be slightly relieved to return the hire car in one piece to Porto tomorrow!Hope everyone has the best day they can

A bittersweet day day for me as we attend my lovely aunt’s funeral- I’m determined to see it as a celebration of her full and happy life ? a proper Welsh funeral tea ☕️ with bara brith and lots of tales of her many gallivants...must be her I get it from?

Hope all on holiday, whether it’s Llandudno or Lisbon, have a great time and everyone else’s troubles ease a little ?

Good morning fromE Kent. Another grey start, but will probably get brighter as the day goes on. Still very, very dry.
I had to water the garden yesterday. I use what I call a “dribbly hose”, a sort of sponges affair, where the water seeps out along its length.
Still very chilly with this NE breeze, the temperatures struggle to reach double figures.
Much better day. DH turned a metaphorical corner around 3pm naturally after I had called the hospice, and they had arranged for a district nurse visit! We also has a better night, after DH had a good dinner. I made a previously unknown soup. Parsnip and celery! It was delicious.
I hope anyone with troubles have them lightened; those on holiday have a relaxing time, and everyone has a gentle day. Carpe diem/horam, dear friends. ?????

Good morning, all, from a chilly but fine Torbay.

Since the night he arrived back in France, DH has been delighted to hear a nightingale singing in his garden! He has checked the sound online and it definitely is its beautiful sound!

I must start my day soon as I’m travelling by train up to Crewe to visit DD2 and family whom I haven’t seen since spending Christmas with them.

Have as good a weekend as possible, especially those who are away or home with worries about the health of loved ones. ??????
