I feel so sorry for those children. They should be out playing with their friends, riding around on bikes, building dens, throwing balls around and having fun in parks and playgrounds.

Instead they're spending hours practicing inappropriate routines and being driven around to cheap hotels to have their faces plastered in make up before parading around to be judged on their looks.
Not to mention the palpable disappointment on their parents' faces if they don't win a trophy.

I would think it skews their values. Everything is about appearance and winning. Also they seem to travel long distances to attend all the pageants which would mean time to pursue healthier childhood interests is reduced - maybe even time spent on school work.

Yes Zonne, they were under suspicion for a while I think. The images just clinched it.

There’s nothing wrong with dressing up at home, wearing mum’s makeup, clothes. I did it. So did my girls. Well....not makeup, I didn’t own any. No, it’s going to establishments....adult establishments....which makes me queasy.

Earrings on babies is gross in my opinion. They have not asked for that.

It’s all about the parents doing what they want, with no consideration for the child.

Going back to the beauty pageants, I wonder how those little girls cope when they grow up. The vast majority of them will not have a future in fashion modelling, but their school work must surely suffer from the time they devote to preparing for and travelling to these pageants. Also do they get any time to develop other interests and talents?
Their parents seem to be teaching them that all their worth is centred around their looks. That must be very damaging long term.

I know two women whose husband’s have been arrested for paedophile’ activity’. Seeing what the children were wearing, and what these men were looking at...was the first thing the police were drawn to.

I’m not disputing this is what you (or the wives) were told by the perpetrators, but this isn’t really how the police track online paedophilia.

It is, however, one of a plethora of victim blaming excuses paedophiles use to ‘justify’ their belief that children are sexually aware and willing.

On a rainy Sunday afternoon in January my daughter said to hers ‘let’s have a pamper session together’. It cost nothing- cucumber slices on my 5y old L’il Miss’ eyes gave me a chuckle when I saw the photos! A foot spa, baby pink nail polish kept on just for the weekend. A delightful couple of hours spent happily doing something different together. I’m with GG13 all the way on this topic.

If you look, you’ll find surely? What about bikinis on little bodies? Pierced earlobes as babies (very popular here in Spain when only weeks old!).

Little girls like ‘copying mummy’. Harmless fun in my opinion.

I’ve just re-read your OP and have to say my under 5 year old grandchildren love pass the parcel. They all enjoy musical statues, hide n seek and all the golden oldies. Adding up to date party experiences is ok.

Paedophiles are sexually attracted to children, some to a specific age group, including babies or infants. Nail varnish is totally irrelevant. Pamper parties don’t sexualise children.
It’s a relief to see some grans here enjoying the fun children get from dressing up, playing makeup, having painted nails. One of mine had her nails done while mummy had her hair cut. She loved it but by tea time the varnish was gone. She’d been to the park and helped tack the pony for her riding lesson. Lucky girl

FYI I pedophiles dream is a child. They don't give a damn what that child is wearing. Just like all predators they want opportunities. Maybe research the "what were you wearing?" Exhibit. Let me give you a hint it's rare to see any clothes that are deemed attractive or skimpy
