Good Morning Everyone,
Its bright and dry with a cloudless sky over brackley at the moment.
Todays plan being the day it is , to get the bus to Buckingham first before going onto Bicester , I will decide ether to return direct or go back via Buckingham.
See how things go.
Take care,
Mick

You’re a busy bee Holly, you’ve earned a rest today! It was hot here yesterday even by the river as there wasn’t the usual strong wind.

Good morning Mick and all from a bright northwest coast.
Fridays are tiring, art all morning and rehearsing all afternoon, so now tired, might have to reorganise it.
Answerphone not working since changing suppliers, must sort that and generally have a catch up day at home. Slept well and love the evenings with book, IPad and TV, wish they went on for ever. Have started another ‘cosy’ book in the Persephone editions, lovely.
Still chilly and feel it. Need to return a dress. I have the opposite idea about my size to an anorexic, they think they are fat when they look in the mirror and I still think I’m thin.
Thoughts to grandMattie and all with troubles.

Good morning Mick and everyone. It’s bright and sunny in my corner of Lancashire, currently 12°C.

Sitting up in bed sipping my morning tea, the only sound is the birdsong. It will get busier later as the sunshine attracts visitors and the steam trains are running. I am planning to go out for a lazy meander around later, now the gout has settled I’m wanting to get back into my fitness routine.

Enjoy your day out Mick and hope you have a restful day Grandmattie.

Congratulations to your GD Ashcombe, enjoy your visit.

No parakeets here Urms, but I loved watching the terns flying around yesterday, so graceful compared to the somewhat uncouth blackheaded gulls.

Glad you enjoyed your trip Marydoll, now rest today! I know what you mean about so many meds, but they keep us functioning and enjoying life as best as we can.

Yesterday was a lovely warm sunny day here too Harrigran, enjoy your day with visitors.

Enjoy your delayed family gathering GrandmaJean, busy but welcome after cancellations. Covid still causing disruption to plans,

Happy Birthday to your precious boy Ginny.

Hugs Grandmabatty , you must be so tired. Hope today is a better one.

Congratulations to your DS and bride GrannySomerset.

I think you’ve earned chocolate and a lazy day aggie.

Hope today is a better one dustyangel

Quite a few people seem to be off on jollies. Safe journey to all and enjoy your hols.

Thinking of all our grans going through difficult times.

My tea is finished and I must get a wiggle on!

Wishing everyone the best day possible ???

Good morning all from the Angus coast, where the sun is trying hard to break through the cloud. Yesterday's rain amounted to two raindrops - more expected this afternoon! Some lovely sunny holidays starting for some of you today - particularly to the Carcassonne area. I only know it from Kate Moss's books though, and fell in love with it there! Well done to your dancing GD, Ash - proud just doesn't touch it, does it. My DGD1 is now at College studying Contemporary Dance and I have never known her happier. She recently won her first audition and will be dancing for a short season with the Scottish Dance Theatre. Your mention of Janettas in St Andrews, grandmabatty made me salivate! The best ice cream on the planet! The abovementioned GD1 and I were there for a visit in October - a walk on the West Sands, lunch at Little Italy followed by ice cream from Janettas. Happy memories. (I went to school at Madras College - but too long ago to be worth more than a mention!!). Marydoll so glad you managed to fit St A into your itinerary. I hope you find time for that nap today grandmattie and that everyone has the best day possible and the sun shines on you all - between much-needed rain showers of course x

Good morning Mick and all from a sunny Portugal where the temperature is apparently already an unbelievable 19°.

Having had a bad night I’m still in bed, with instructions to “go back to sleep” as if I could so easily, but supplied with a cup of tea so I can catch up with you all more gradually.

Wishing you all a wonderful day GrannySomerset! ??

Good morning everyone from a bright and sunny ? Northampton. Am later this morning as I slept in after a late night at rugby. Another last minute win for my Northampton Saints, 32-31. Must admit that everything was crossed in those closing minutes of the match but we hung in there. Came home a happy bunny despite the half-hour queue to get out of the carpark.

Off to the cinema with a friend this afternoon to see the new Downton Abbey, can't wait! Shall enjoy the film with a nice glass of wine ?.

Then home to a steak for dinner and catch up on tv programmes I've missed, perhaps watch a replay of last night's match.

Happy 'holliers' (as Terry Wogan used to say) to those away, and to those setting off on their travels. Very envious, I have to wait till August!

May the sun shine on all of us this weekend.

Good Morning everyone from a rather damp Co Armagh , I am home alone as everyone is away for the Bank Holiday , but I was very good and showered and dressed , even though the inclination was to slob about in my PJs ?
I’m glad I did my chores yesterday after Painting class , the bed changes and washing dry is a source of satisfaction and rewarded by some of my Easter Chocolate!
Eldest GS didn’t call , his Egg is beckoning to me ?
Best wishes for a good day for everyone ?

Good morning from a blue skied South Yorkshire. Grandkids have stayed last night and are playing happily in 'the play shed' which is really where I keep all the big toys I have acquired for them such as the dolls house and a kitchen. They have had so much fun in there over the years ❤️
Will be dropping dgd at dance soon. Lovely picture ashcombe you must be very proud ?
This afternoon going to see my mother who is not too well again and hope to enjoy the sun as well. Have a good day all and happy travels to those off on holiday xx

Grandmabatty Sat 30-Apr-22 09:12:38

Grannysomerset all the best for your son and his bride. Have a lovely day.

Anniebach Sat 30-Apr-22 09:11:14

Good morning Auntyflo and all x

merlotgran Sat 30-Apr-22 09:09:49

Good morning everyone from a sunny south coast. I’m also hoping there won’t be any late frosts as I have so much on the go. Everything in the garden is so much earlier than in Cambridgeshire where I would wait until the end of May before hanging up any baskets.

DSiL is coming round sometime over the weekend to put up the last two shelves needed to finish off the garden room. He’s a star!

Hope everyone has a good day and rest for those who need it.

Have a wonderful day GrannySomerset wishing your DS and his new bride all the happiness in the world. ?

GrannySomerset Sat 30-Apr-22 09:01:07

Greetings from London where I am staying in a hotel because DS is getting married this afternoon. DD and family drove me here yesterday and are ensuring I am fit for purpose after a very jolly dinner last night with the bride’s family and assorted friends. Must get ready for breakfast and need to practise my reading. I miss DH but still expect a very happy day - after two cancellations the happy couple deserve a real celebration.

Grandmadinosaur Sat 30-Apr-22 09:00:05

Good morning all from a sunny skied East Yorkshire.

Happy travels to all today. Lovely that we can get back to that.

Last night we went to see Blondie at our local Arena. She is 76 and an inspiration doing what she does with the show she put on. We saw her about 15 years ago and her voice is going a little but it was still a great night.

Today we are going to the post office early doors to get the Euros for our holidays. The rest of the day will centre around football as it’s a lunchtime kick off for His Lordship!

Will catch up with threads now.

luluaugust Sat 30-Apr-22 08:34:53

Good morning all from a sunny North Norfolk. Off to DH club meeting today and looking forward to fish and chips tonight, so pleased to be back

GrannyGravy13 Sat 30-Apr-22 08:26:01

Morning Mick and all

The sky is blue here in S E Essex, I do hope it’s warmer than yesterday.

Safe journey to those travelling, especially my dear friend Sar53

Ashcombe I expect your DGD practices very hard for her ballet place, we’ll done.

Wishing you and your DH a peaceful day grandMattie

We have two GC for a couple of hours this morning whilst their mum is at the hairdressers. This evening we have the 7yr old for a sleepover. We bought some Dover Sole in Waitrose yesterday so that’s dinner sorted.

Keep safe and well folks ??‍♀️

Jaxjacky Sat 30-Apr-22 08:23:51

Good morning all from a sunny S Hants. A long drive to Carcassonne Sar, enjoy your holiday and you monk, safe journeys.
#proudGrandma Ashcombe what a delight.
Hope you get a nap gMattie and your DH can accept less is not more sometimes.
I’ll be faffing with hanging baskets and tubs today, fervently hoping frost risk has passed, weeding needed, those little blighters keep growing without any water.
Have a pleasant day all if you possibly can ??

Urmstongran Sat 30-Apr-22 08:18:10

Carcassone for all of us envious of Sar53 (wiki).

Grandmabatty Sat 30-Apr-22 08:11:19

Good morning all from Polmont where it's 2° and a hazy blue sky above. Showers are forecast later and are badly needed.
Marydoll that's sad to hear about the shops in St Andrews. There were some nice, individual shops. I hope you made it to Janettas for an ice cream. Ashcombe congratulations to your very talented dgd. Happy holidays to all you travellers, in particular Sar. Carcassonne is a place I have always wanted to go to.
Yesterday we had a nice family lunch. It was good to see my aunt and uncle before they head off in their caravan to Devon. Last night was a painful night for me unfortunately. I'm developing peripheral neuropathy in my feet as a result of years of being diabetic. The pains in my feet were bad last night and kept me awake.
Today I'm going out for breakfast with a friend. We shall put the world to rights. Then I have a tesco delivery this afternoon. In between I'll potter. Have a good day all.

Pittcity Sat 30-Apr-22 08:09:05

Good morning from sunny Lisbon where it's going to be hotter than yesterday. Sun cream and hats for a trip to the castle. Then lazing by the rooftop pool.
Love to all ? x

Marydoll Sat 30-Apr-22 08:02:20

Harri, that's a pity about your sister, you must be disappointed.
When I was in hospital, I was told as was DH, that you can go out on day eleven, even if you are still testing positive, as you are no longer infectious.
It was day thirteen, before I had a negative test.
