Varian in the case of that ad it didn’t matter to me as Campari, Martini, Cinzano and that other mystery drink Dubonnet were all of a kind to me -ie the kind I wouldn’t have touched with a bargepole.

But they were entertaining.
And I’m sure it was Joan who got drenched with the Cinzano when the reclining plane seat suddenly shot back… “ getting your head back sweetly?”

Yes Martini! That advert was aspirational - albeit shallow but I loved what the lifestyle represented to someone like me! Ok, I never ended up owning a yacht but did many of the sports in the adverts over the years and loved them all :-) I like Negronis now so blame that advert from many years ago!
