M0nica Mon 23-May-22 20:01:34

Baggs in my hairdressers back yard it is too small and sheltered to be windy!

Serendipity22 Mon 23-May-22 20:00:01

Thank you everyone.... appreciate all replies.

Mr S hair has now been done ........ OUTSIDE... !!!!!!!

Note to self - when in doubt, ask GN.

Always outside for me.

Germanshepherdsmum Mon 23-May-22 19:37:04

Then you wait for another day!?

Baggs Mon 23-May-22 19:18:58

What if it's windy?

M0nica Mon 23-May-22 18:10:42

Hair dressers and nowhere else. If he wants to cut my hair in the yard outside that is fine by me, providing it is not too cold or raining and his work is up to standard.

During lockdown I cut my own hair. I did it in the bathroom where I have a good mirror.
I wouldn't dare cut anyone else's either indoors or in the garden.

Ohhh dear it appears i should have asked this question before i allowed my voice to bellow to the heavens.

DH says OUTSIDE

I have raised the roof by saying INSIDE ....

Ooooooops...... confused

If DD comes to cut our hair , it’s in our kitchen. If we go to her, it’s outside or in her ‘hobbies’ shed.

I mostly cut my own hair but occasionally one of my granddaughters does it. I sit on a dining chair in the living room.
Then vacuum.

Blossoming Mon 23-May-22 17:02:18

Hairdresser.

I always cut my DH's hair and beard and outside, if the weather's good. I have my scissors and cape read for DD. She's coming to stay for a few days soon and have always cut her hair. She'll give mine a trim too.

Inside on bad days but ours is a small cottage with only one open plan room downstairs. Tiled floor though.

Mr C’s har is cut in the conservatory. Hard floor so easy to sweep up, plenty of light and three steps to the outside to shake off the loose hairs.

Wheniwasyourage Mon 23-May-22 16:47:18

Outside. I read that human hair prevents mice from eating your bulbs so I tried that when I had to cut DH's hair during lockdown. The bulbs weren't eaten, but I'm not sure whether it was presence of hair or absence of mice that did the trick!

Marydoll Mon 23-May-22 16:43:50

I cut DH's in the utility room, then send him into the garden to shake off the hairs.

shysal Mon 23-May-22 16:39:39

Outside if weather permits. Otherwise in living room with an old shower curtain on the floor. DD used to be a hairdresser.

PinkCosmos Mon 23-May-22 16:38:51

In the hall which is light and bright. It has a hard floor so that it is easy to sweep up afterwards

Serendipity22 Mon 23-May-22 16:35:56

Hmmmm, ok..

Thank you for replies

Nanna58 Mon 23-May-22 16:34:46

Absolutely nowhere other than a hairdressers , but if forced to do at home it would be outdoors- definitely not the kitchen?

Calendargirl Mon 23-May-22 16:33:00

No one in their right mind would ever ask me to cut their hair, inside or outside.
Well, DH did, in lockdown.

He regretted doing so.

(Did it in the hall, btw).

Germanshepherdsmum Mon 23-May-22 16:28:08

My husband usually cuts my hair outside.

AGAA4 Mon 23-May-22 16:00:39

Think I would choose the living room. May not be hygienic to have hairs floating around the kitchen

Outside would be fine if you could be private.

Kathy72 Mon 23-May-22 16:00:17

Outside. Cut DH’s hair last week in the garden and later saw a blackbird taking some off to line a nest

Serendipity22 Mon 23-May-22 15:55:00

If you are asked to cut someone's hair or you want your own hair cutting, would you do it in the kitchen or outside on the drive or lawn ?
