Aw, such sad news. I'm going to have to watch Field of Dreams again. I'd forgotten he was in that. He was beautiful when he was young.

Yes Grandmabatty I agree in theory.

i fell in love with him in the film corrina corrina, i thought he was gorgeous. so sad that he has died at a young age, i read that he died in his sleep in the dominican republic while filming.

We'll have to agree to disagree then Bluesky. As the average age is 80+ I think 67 is far too young.

DD2 is ‘gutted’ according to the text she sent earlier.

Sorry to hear although 67 is not ‘far too young’. I’ve become very realistic nowadays. sad RIP

MiniMoon I like Field of Dreams, watched it more than once. RL’s part in it was very different from a lot of his roles. Such a good looking man when he was young, he really didn’t age well imo. Still acted his socks off in the film last year.

It's very sad. Gone far too young.

I've just been speaking to my son and told him Ray Liotta had died to which he replied "oh no! not Ray Liotta out of Goodfellas" also one of his favourite films. There's only one Ray Liotta as far as I know! .

Yes a shame he was only 67, no great age these days.

HowVeryDareYou Thu 26-May-22 18:44:24

I loved him in Goodfellas - a cracking film. 67 is no age.

MiniMoon Thu 26-May-22 18:42:56

I am sorry to hear this. He played Shoeless Joe Jackson in my favourite film, Field of Dreams.

grannydarkhair Thu 26-May-22 18:37:01

He was the lead role in Goodfellas, one of my favourite films. He was in lots of other films, none anywhere as good imo. I last saw him on-screen in The Many Saints of Newark last year. He was only 67, the same age as myself.
