I do remember it and I also remember my mother not watching it properly and proclaiming biased opinions because "It's called 'The Spongers' isn't it." sad

Does anyone remember the tv play THE SPONGERS, that was shown on BBC 1 early in 1978? A very powerful play looking at so much breakdown of a caring society, all played out against the background of the loyal people on a Council Estate organising their Jubilee Celebrations.

Could well take a full repeat at the moment (sadly).
