If money, space or property design was no problem what luxury would you treat yourself to.
I think mine would be a 20 metre swimming pool full of lovely warm water. Oh and a hunky pool man to keep it clean!
What selfish indulgence would you have?

I was so lucky to travel business class to Australia in January 2020 before the pandemic and swore I would newer travel any other way! Now the fare has nearly tripled for Business class, so I am compromising with Premium Economy, which is still 25% more than my previous business class fare! Oh! If only money were no object!!! Maybe I should join the Leiber party and borrow one of their money trees!

A bungalow by the sea with enough outdoor space to have lots of rescue dogs so they can have space to run around and won't annoy the neighbours. I wouldn't mind a chauffeur too as I don't really enjoy driving anymore.

A really first class instrument for my musician DC.

A pair of Filipino maids living rent free in a house I’d buy them. With my washing, ironing, housework and tidying up being the price of the rent. All to be done when I’m not there and out gallivanting.

Enough money ? to pay for good health ? and never to have to worry about bills ?.

Dream home (would take a bit of thought to get it perfect) and a chauffeur. Personal masseuse. For starters . . .

Access to all private medical care

JaneJudge Sat 04-Jun-22 11:51:49

I'd build myself a bungalow big enough for my dd to live at home with care on hand and horses on our land for us to ride. A big greenhouse with a kitchen garden and maybe a swimming pool.
How shallow grin

Someone to wash and blow dry my hair twice a week. A personal stylist to help me buy a completely new wardrobe of clothes. Private medical care for all my family.

live in a remote country house ,offering respite for people frazzled by modern life, hot tubs, meditation space etc
not ran by myself though!

A house for each of my daughters nearby (they live near to us anyway so I wouldn't be forcing them!) Then I could relax safe in the knowledge that they wouldn't be burdened with the huge mortgages/rent that they are presently paying. For me, a house with a larger garden and a gardener to do all the heavy jobs, leaving me to potter to my heart's content! Oh, and a luxury little lodge for my tortoise smile

I would employ a full time gardener.

Then I would pay a substantial contribution to wild-cat sanctuaries in Scotland and in Spain and to the local cat-and-dog home.

And a hefty annual subsidy to the Society of Jesus and the order of St Joseph so they can continue the work of providing schooling to deprived children all over the world.

MawtheMerrier, yes, yes, yes! But if it’s really unlimited, then weekly hair do, manicure and pedicure, lus business class to New Zealand every year.

Kryptonite Sat 04-Jun-22 11:45:43

Chauffeur and cook.

Goingtobeagranny Sat 04-Jun-22 11:42:49

Re-hab for my youngest son and a live in PA/housekeeper for me…then I’d go on holiday on my own, without my phone…bliss ❤️

natasha1 Sat 04-Jun-22 11:42:14

Hoolahoop sounds my kind of life.x

Harris27 Sat 04-Jun-22 11:40:49

Swimming pool adjacent to a wonderful bungalow and nice garden.

natasha1 Sat 04-Jun-22 11:40:19

That sounds a wonderful idea.x

I would renovate my Mum's house and bring her home from the Nursing Home where we have been forced to place her with all the staff she needed to help her enjoy a good life in the home she loves. Mind you, she'd moan all the way and I'd be exasperated so I'd probably have to employ a cook so I didn't comfort eat!

A second hip replacement. The first was a roaring success, but it’ll be two years wait on the NHS for the other one, and it’s deteriorating by the day.

A house overseas, near DC & family. With first class flights to visit. Heaven!

ShazzaKanazza Wed 01-Jun-22 20:43:38

A lovely villa in Spain and a country lodge in the dales to enjoy with my family.
First class return flights to visit our son in China every year.

giulia Wed 01-Jun-22 20:32:21

I would have the largest fridge on the market (I just love fridges. Don't know why!).

I'd also change my whole kitchen every year - I love kitchens too.

giulia Wed 01-Jun-22 20:30:20

MawtheMerrier

Fresh bedlinen every day - with someone else to wash and iron it and change the beds

I too agree with you there!

grannypiper Wed 01-Jun-22 18:16:21

I would indulge myself in first class travel .
