If money, space or property design was no problem what luxury would you treat yourself to.
I think mine would be a 20 metre swimming pool full of lovely warm water. Oh and a hunky pool man to keep it clean!
What selfish indulgence would you have?

A sewing room and an art studio so that I could leave everything out rather than having to clear away sewing stuff in order to paint, and vice versa. Oh, a plenty of cupboard space.

I would love flying lessons and a nice little plane, nothing flamboyant but it's a bit of a dream.
I would also enjoy sending anonymous pots of money to the charities that DON'T have overpaid chief executives in fancy City offices, but people involved because of their real passion. Just windfalls that make a difference, out of the blue.
Must admit a bit of a help around the house would be a treat as I get more creaky!

I'd love a regular hairdresser at home too.
And a helicopter to take me to and fro when we go to the seaside. It normally takes at least three hours to get there by car now.

Personal physician for my family as one or other of us is always ailing.

But not Michael Jackson’s.

Handmade shoes, and first class flights

A wood, with someone to look after it but unseen. Not tidy just what needs to be done to maintain it. A wildlife/plant haven, an escape a peaceful retreat!

I would love and appreciate a handyman/person to do all the jobs I find difficult. A gardener and a companion who likes to drive.

Lambangel Sun 05-Jun-22 11:22:49

I'd like a dog rescue rehoming centre with help of course, also a field for regular car boots, and camping, a better Internet service and time and help to write a book and daydream.

An apartment in Paris and Boscombe. A small cottage 2 bedrooms with 1/4 acre garden, a daily housekeeper to shop, cook and clean. Money for my 3AC and DGC, and pay off all mortgages.

To be on a permanent world cruise, best suite on the ship, with a large fully staffed villa in every port, so I could just hop off whenever I wanted for a break. And I would fly my family out first class to join me. And then fly off to join the ship at the next pirt.

I'm with you on this one ☺️

You know what ? Swimming pools are more trouble than they’re worth! I would fill ours in if we had the money. Apart from that I would get the garden sorted, have a gardener and have the whole lot re designed.

I would like a modern spacious home on one level with a cleaner/ dog walker. Then I could have a rescue dog.
If I had good health I could walk a dog myself and do the cleaning so perhaps just good health and a good home.

Rooms… a fitness room…a swimming pool room…a pool table room…a cinema room…a sewing room…an art studio…a model railway room…a hubby hobby room…a library/jigsaw room…am I being greedy?

Care for animals and education for people who mistreat them and food and education for children who miss out on the basic necessities. And a handyman wouldn't go astray as well.

Urmstongran Sat 04-Jun-22 22:52:22

I’d have a private doctor on speed dial,

Ooh, where to start...

If I exclude all the charities I'd support/start including the 'small' donation to the NHS so they can employ/retain enough staff and do away with waiting lists, the properties I'd buy to rent out to DSS/with children/pets etc (the amount of people I know who are working F/T in child care etc who can't get a property as they still have to claim housing benefit (and have pets and children) is ridiculous) then...

A country house with a very, very large garden so I can grow all my veggies and fruit while still having enough space for several dogs to run around.

Rainwater tanks supplying water to the loos and washing machine. Solar roof (not just a few panels), small wind turbines on the roof. Ground/air source heat pumps that are waaay more efficient than are available at the moment.

An en suite with bath AND separate shower. A lift going between floors - and big enough for the housekeeper/PA to transport a clothes rail of finished laundry up to the bedrooms.

A large pantry, a scullery for all my baking bits and bobs and to keep all the vases etc in, a mud room with doggy shower, a full size indoor (heated) pool, a gym to help keep me fit and a sauna and a steam room to help with all those aches and pains. Not forgetting a huge library for all the books I keep acquiring...

Fields beside the house to keep the horses including the ones I'd like to get... I might have had to give up riding but I haven't given up my love for horses!

The money to have a live-in (in the staff quarters, naturally...) chauffeur/gardener and housekeeper/PA.

And that's all I can think of off the top of my head, lol

Oh, how wonderful life will be when I win the lottery with the ticket I never buy grin

A comfortable house large enough for me, my (hypothetical) pair of English bull terriers (love them!) and lots of Christmas trees at Christmas (love those too!). Well paid and cared for staff essential of course! And grounds in which each of my three children could have their own establishments, near but far enough away for us all to be private!

Skydancer Sat 04-Jun-22 20:30:31

Amazing how many of us would like a swimming pool. That’d be my first choice too. Followed by chef and chauffeur. Bliss!

imaround Sat 04-Jun-22 19:40:17

Enough land for a small farm with a big garden, (more) chickens, goats and someone to help me with it.

Usernametaken Sat 04-Jun-22 19:35:12

A large detached house overlooking the ocean, with a hot tub, heated swimming pool, stables and lots of dogs.
And room for lots of expensive cars. We can only dream ?

Daftbag1 Sat 04-Jun-22 19:31:14

New eyes! I've got bilateral cataracts and awaiting surgery but it's a looooong waiting list. We moved area so I'm back at the bottom. Deep sigh!

Secondwind Sat 04-Jun-22 19:24:52

A guaranteed parking space!

Catterygirl Sat 04-Jun-22 18:56:16

A chauffeur would be nice for my husband. He’s a chauffeur. I would enjoy a world cruise.
