Cherry ! No wonder they were after you.
Don’t worry I’ve solved the problem and just jammed a donut round their necks

brook2704 Thu 02-Jun-22 21:16:35

Think they’re after the sausage rolls Cherry - just how many did you stash away in your pockets?

Doodle Thu 02-Jun-22 21:15:06

Er……I hate to ask but that’s not May Hem is it? ?. I’d heard she’d taken up archery.
Its ok Cherry fear not. I’ve set Alarma on them. The corgis (along with everything else) are terrified of her when she gets a strop on).
You come back and have a rest in the corner with Thor. He’s used to comforting damsels in distress and George Clooney will make you a coffee.

CherryCezzy Thu 02-Jun-22 21:13:39

They've been following me all day brook do you fink it's coz I'm Welsh ?

CherryCezzy Thu 02-Jun-22 21:11:35

Why didn't I fink of that Ixion ?. You are clever, Marydoll was obsolly a good teacher ?

brook2704 Thu 02-Jun-22 21:09:33

You ok cherry? That was a lucky escape

brook2704 Thu 02-Jun-22 21:08:26

Oooh yes ixion I’m sure she’s just what we need ?

ixion Thu 02-Jun-22 21:05:33

WAaaaa!! Help! Help! Save Me! Save me! Quick, quick, Quicker! Those corgis are Wild Savage Beasts ?. I've managed to escape but they're hot on my tail any excuse to attract the attention of a hunky?‍?--. Gimme a swig pint of poteen Doodle, pPleeeease.

Chuck them the poteen, ?.
It'll take effect faster on the dogs than on you (no nasturtiums intended?)

ixion Thu 02-Jun-22 21:02:23

I've got a possible lined up too (my predictive, fat fingered typing rendered lubed up, but TMI, I guess) brook.

What do you think? Should we vote on it?

Brilliant Brook he’s just who we need. Got his own bows and arrows too. Ixion he will light your beacon (no Pants that’s not an euphemism ?)
Well if GSM and Pants are both dressing up I suppose I’d better too. Do you like the outfit

brook2704 Thu 02-Jun-22 20:56:09

Shootya Indahead has just shown up - any use ixion?

ixion Thu 02-Jun-22 20:37:08

I am frantically interviewing for an 'Archer' - no, not that one. If it's good enough for the Hadrian's Wall lot's beacons, then it's good enough for us. If no joy, it'll have to be one of us.
?Are bowls and arching interchangeable skills??

Pantglas2 Thu 02-Jun-22 20:31:57

?‍????‍??‍??‍? Nee-naw ?nee-naw ! Ooh Doodle the blues’ntwos are here, just like you promised if I set the bonfire ? off early beehayvd mysen!

The Watch manager said we can watch them stripping ?‍♀️ running out their hoses and we can attend to his crew when they’ve knocked off and made up....I’m off to slip into something more slutty ahem, comfortable...????

Germanshepherdsmum Thu 02-Jun-22 20:18:06

Off for the ?. Hic! Will return later ???.

Doodle Thu 02-Jun-22 19:50:37

Plenty in the back office. I didn’t trust leaving it in the cellar with the Admiral (and Laura) around. Couple of boxes of pork scratchings and some stale pork pies… that should see them sorted.

ixion Thu 02-Jun-22 19:50:16

I hope they don't think it's our usual Grab a Granny Nite

Tonight is sooo much more refined - or it would be, if we can keep May Hem at bay and persuade GSM to grab a quick ?.
Wonder if a hunky fireman might oblige?

brook2704 Thu 02-Jun-22 19:43:43

How’s the Jubilee poteen getting on ? I’ve got the coach load of regulars from the bowling club queuing up outside ..

Doodle Thu 02-Jun-22 19:38:06

Oh no not May Hem. That’s all we need. I hope Alarma can keep her at bay ….she’s always wanted a bite of her posterior.

Doodle Thu 02-Jun-22 19:36:56

Welcome CanadianGran what a fabulous day it’s been for us.
As Ixion said the old chap was the Duke of Kent. He did well doing all that saluting.
Ooh Laura what did you do to that guard to make him pass out?
Well Brook we wondered where you were (or who with)
Glad you’re here. We’re expecting quite a crowd of ?‍♀️ Later and some ?‍? and even maybe crown ?….you never know.
My Jubilee pudding seems to be selling well (despite what’s in it ) .

GrannyGravy13 Thu 02-Jun-22 19:32:14

Keep May Hem away from my firemen

ixion Thu 02-Jun-22 19:30:18

CanadianGran

Just popping in to say have a happy celebration... looks like it iwis well under way.

I did see on the news the Queen coming out to her balcony, (just a short clip on the news) and I admit I had a lump in my throat. Who was the old fella with her?

inews.co.uk/news/duke-of-kent-who-queen-cousin-prince-edward-balcony-trooping-the-colour-1665507

The Duke of Kent (85). He is a cousin and close friend of GM. Their dads were brothers.?

brook2704 Thu 02-Jun-22 19:28:38

Oh my goodness I’m late for the party ?‍♀️ I was getting the bunting ready and almost slipped off the ladder when the llamas went galloping past, took me ages to round them all up and settle them in the paddock. Alarma insisted on her usual chips of course so had to go and get them from the chippy and whilst I was there bumped into May Hem - didn’t know she was back in town
Anyhow I’m here now and reporting for duty

GrannyGravy13 Thu 02-Jun-22 19:27:32

As you Argy regulars know I have a penchant for firemen, so I have roped (literally) some in incase the lighting of the Argy Beacon goes wrong…
