Its grey but dry with some wind this mooning in brackley .
Original plans for the day have been scuppered .
Still signs of fall , black eye ,and cuts although healing , plan on Monday to contact surgery and see I can get low blood pressure tablets added to my medication list.
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning cloudy and windy here in the Black country. Will read through later up late this morning after a disturbed night. For some reason DH couldn't sleep me being a light sleeper it woke me.
Usual full English calling so enjoy your day whatever your plans, and may you all find some ?.

Good morning everyone from a grey and windy Northampton, but due to brighten up after lunch.

Enjoyed the service yesterday morning,.And then popped to the shops in the afternoon.

Last home rugby match of the season today,. but all to play for as if we win we get to the Premiership semi-finals, so a full house is expected, and we shall need to be in good voice. Have set my tv to record the match, Just wondering which of my shirts to wear depending on the weather! Will have a nice steak when I get back and either raise a glass to celebrate, or drown my sorrows....

Granny23 flowersflowers for your anniversary.

Good morning all. Not a cloud to be seen over the Angus coast this morning! That certainly brings a lift to the spirits. Enjoy your reading grandmattie. I spend a lot of time with my nose in a book too. Last night I finished 'The Missing Sister' by Lucinda Riley which excellent.
Beechnut I know what you mean - you can be lonelier in a crowd than home alone somehow.
I'm so sorry about your worries about your mum, Susan, and sorry for her as well. Taking that step to go into a home is the hardest decision anyone can make.
Enjoy your memories today Granny23 flowers

Good morning Auntyflo and all x

Good morning from the West Midlands. Its grey and cloudy at the moment. I dont often post on this thread but am mindful and grateful for the kindness shown to me recently. I am spending the day with family including all the grandchildren. We are visiting a walled garden and then going to the High St in the village for jubilee celebrations.

Taichinan Sat 04-Jun-22 09:46:05

Sorry, posted the above too soon.
There seems to have been a lot of sleeplessness around last night - it was nearer 4 before I dropped off. I think it's something to do with the fact that the sun has only just set before it rises again! I do love the summer nights though.
Off I go for real this time as I must get dressed before my lovely gardener catches me still in my jammies again. Have a great day all x

Good morning Mick and all. It’s bright and breezy in my corner of Lancashire, currently 13°c.

Yesterday I tackled some jobs around the house. Mr. B is very inventive when it comes to finding new places to deposit mud. The weather is better today, the railway museum is having its jubilee celebration so we will watch that.

Granny23 a bittersweet day for you flowers.

I hope everyone has a good day today whatever you’re doing.

Good morning from a wet and windy W Kent. Spent a lovely afternoon and evening with DD and family, lit our M&S Jubilee candle and enjoyed a delicious meal. Not sure how plans for today will work out as the weather looks like staying for a while.
Best wishes to all

Good morning Mick, Annie and all, from a damp and greyish bit of Berks.

Granny23, flowers for you and such sweet, sad memories on your anniversary.

We haven't had a street party here, but there will be one on the way to Church tomorrow, so a different route will need to be found.

The little twins opposite have been helping their parents to clear the garage, and looked so endearing in their pretty net dresses complete with yellow wellies.

My MRI scan went well, but I seemed to be in the machine for such a long time. Then I felt , what seemed like a spider crawling over one side of my face. I know it wasn't but was frantically trying to dislodge it by blowing. Most disconcerting.

Probably out for coffee later and a bit of a shop.
Have a good day one and all.

Good morning Mick and all from a sunny northwest coast.
Mixed up days yesterday and was going to a 60/70s event when son told me it had been the day before….so settled in and carried on with the TV.
Into the village today to see what the jubilee celebration day offers, I need cake and biscuits. Good for the waistline to be without them, but missing my little treats. DD left after helping me so much and I put in a compensation for the long tiring delays by train last Sunday.
My tv has stopped recording, a bother, as I like to go through the listings and tick off what I fancy, then record.
Thoughts to harrigran who yesterday was sorting her late DHs clothes, one of the saddest jobs we ever do, so thinking of you?
Hope you all have a nice day and will read through properly later.

Good morning from a dull West York's we have very boisterous Gg here they did sleep though so can't complain .out to park after lunch to meet daughter and her 2 they don't get to meet up often so should be a nice afternoon Gymstagran and Granny23 ??

Just read as far as your post Granny23 and I wanted to post while it’s still fresh in my mind as I found it so sad. It must have been very difficult for to hear repeated reiterations of how joyful the country is while leading up to your own sad anniversary. ?

Good morning to you all from a very mixed up, weather wise, Algarve. DH went down to the market in tee shirt and shorts and returned in brilliant sunshine but soaked to the skin. It’s cloudy again at the moment but the sun is trying to get through. Hopefully the weather will start to improve next week.

Good morning from West Sussex. It’s breezy here with a threat of showers. I’m trying to decide what to wear and what to take for a day helping on a charity stall at a Jubilee fair in the park. Will it be too windy for big umbrellas? Will it be cool? Do I need sandwiches or will there be plenty of food? I’d better get moving and make decisions quickly or I won’t get there at all ?

Auntieflo your MRI experience sounds quite disturbing. Well done for not panicking! I love the image of your twin neighbours.

Granny23 feeling with you and comforting for you to have wonderful memories

Taichinan Sat 04-Jun-22 10:25:00

harrigran I forgot to say - don't get rid of absolutely everything. It's 28,years nearly since my DH was killed but I still have his golfing sweater. I got it out recently but a moth had been at it so I couldn't wear it, but it's still there and is a lovely reminder that yes, he really was once here with me. I still miss him.

Jaxjacky Sat 04-Jun-22 10:33:20

A day of memories Granny23?

GrannyGravy13 Sat 04-Jun-22 10:33:59

Morning all

It’s grey in SE Essex but trying it’s best to brighten up.

We went over the road to join neighbours in their little private road (5 houses set back
from main road) to toast the Queen, it was lovely to catch up. Left early to meet DD and GC on local restaurant and had a nice surprise as one of our sons was also there with his wife and children. I love to see the cousins interaction.

Today I shall be lazy, go with the flow read my book and watch the Jubilee concert this evening.

(((hugs))) to those in need

Keep safe and well folks ?‍♀️?

Granny23 a bittersweet day ahead for you ?

henetha Sat 04-Jun-22 10:46:57

After a couple of lovely days here, south of Dartmoor, today is dreadful with darks skies and heavy rain. I think there was thunder in the night, but I may have dreamt it.
Today is the Torbay air show and I was going to go, but I imagine it might be cancelled now.
Best wishes to everyone. flowers

Ashcombe Sat 04-Jun-22 11:31:28

Good morning from a very wet North side of Dartmoor, henetha, where we are I the midst of a thunderstorm! Like others, I've had a disturbed night which might well have been weather related. Posting is difficult due to an unreliable WiFi service here so I'm hot spotting via my iPhone.

Yesterday was a briliant day with a super visit to Castle Drogo, replendent in the sunshine the a drive across the moor where we saw Highland cattle, ponies and foals plus sheep in abundance. DH, amongst many others, was able to stroke one or two of the ponies.

I'm sorry to read of those going through sad and trying times, with poignant memories or tough situations like Susan56 has. Wishing you some kind of resolution.

Have a good weekend.flowers

EkwaNimitee Sat 04-Jun-22 11:33:10

Good morning Mick and everyone from sunny but breezy Carlisle.
I've been out for a quick shop. Although I avoided visiting the garden centre and its temptations, I couldn't resist the ones in Sainsbury's so arrived home with a bunch of tulips and a houseplant!
The washing machine is on duty and I'm hoping to get out in the garden and get a plant or two in plus tie in my peas which are galloping away. There's also plenty of reading to catch up on as I've got the weekend papers and my science magazine has just popped through the letterbox.

Granny23, my thoughts are with you. flowers
