Lovely to see you back baubles. Continue to take care and 'make haste, slowly', as they say!
Marydoll I did chuckle at the thought of your church running out of candles ..............xx
Another assassination attempt on Donald Trump
Good Morning Everyone,
Its dry and bright here in brackley at the moment this morning.
Opticians went OK , glasses repaired and had a test .
Today , I will taxi both ways to my surgery for a blood test , I am making sure I have plenty of water .
Take Care,
Mick
Lovely to see you back baubles. Continue to take care and 'make haste, slowly', as they say!
Marydoll I did chuckle at the thought of your church running out of candles ..............xx
Good to see you Baubles may you get better every day!
Good morning from sunny Scotland. Hay fever season and my neighbour kept shouting “bless you” as I was sneezing so loudly. She is not used to hearing me at all.
Scentia and GM TOYU
Baubles delighted you are home and able to post. Hope you are being looked after by yourGP.
It seems very quiet after the Jubilee. We had a lovely village party and some of my family came to stay for a few days.
Take care all.
baubles ??
Good morning all from a misty, moisty Torbay.
Some eventful days for some here with unexpected missions of mercy and lovely family times, which are good to share.
Thank you for the kind enquiries. Yesterday, I spent a useful time with a cardiac specialist nurse at my local hospital who was really informative about the planned surgery. No date yet but I have a follow up consultation with her in two weeks and also with my regular consultant. She also organised via the hospital pharmacy the prescription requested by my cardiologist. Despite being contacted in early May, my GP practice has failed to do anything! Sigh!
This is DH’s last day here so we’ve had a slow start but intend doing some jobs now, including completing his six page medical insurance claim form from the holiday! Boring but necessary.
Enjoy whatever you do today, dear Gransnetters! ?????
Great to see Baubles posting. Keep getting stronger
Good morning Mick and all from a brightening northwest coast.
Dentist yesterday and everyone was masked except me. I usually keep one in my bag, but not this time. My dentist is a comedian and makes me laugh, not easy with a mouth full of tools. No work need thankfully.
Then enjoyed a nice panini in town and bought a bathing costume (tried on last night, not right) against my Ibiza holiday soon. May revert to my old trusty one. Not impressed at all by the patterns etc on offer. Also dropped off jumble, but managed to pick up a couple of things as well…
What’s up with this ‘summer’ weather? ?
Morning Mick and All.
Thank you NannyJ and & Mary DH had a lovely birthday. We went to Henley on Thames which is close to us. Had a nice light lunch at our favourite cafe then I let DH loose in Mountain Warehouse where he took 45 mins to buy himself new shoes and a backpack. He rarely buys himself anything so I left him to it whilst I cruised Waitrose. After a delicious Charlie Bingham supper and trifle left over from the Platinum Party DH took up his usual job of helping all the neighbours. This week he is looking after 2 cats, then to check out a neighbour’s house whilst she is away. He found a dead squirrel on her lawn so disposed of that. The neighbours all love him as he looks after everything for everyone. ?
Back to normal routine now after a very busy and enjoyable Jubilee long weekend and it all feels a bit flat now. However, the usual jobs need doing so I need to get going on the dreaded task of sorting out cupboards. I did two kitchen ones yesterday and was mortified to find unopened packets of biscuits with a best before date of 2020 on them! Must (a) stop buying biscuits and (b) establish some sort of control system for these rather deep cupboards which hold a lot which means stuff gets pushed to the back. Very shameful.
Glad to see Baubles posting again, admiration to Scentia for coping so impressively, and also to Marydoll for surviving her much loved but very intrusive guests. Much easier said than done!
Good morning from Essex by the sea. The sun is shining and it has warmed up.
Lovely to see you posting Baubles, I hope your recovery continues to go well.
I have to wait in this morning for someone to come and look at the gates to our car park. They wouldn't open one Saturday morning when we were in France. I received a phone call from a neighbour asking what should they do !!!!!
A pile of ironing will keep me busy and then I have to pack for my few days away at DD1 in Warwickshire.
Have a great Tuesday everyone xx
ginny. I had no issues hear at EMA Ryan air were superb and I got a return flight for less than £70 No queue at our airport in the Ryanair section, I suppose they didn’t sack all their staff during Covid!!
Lovely to see you back Baubles ?
Good morning all from sunny W Kent. So pleased to hear from you Baubles hope your recovery continues well.
Scentia I admire your ability to dash to Milan, I expect adrenalin helped, hope your DH stays calm.
Off to see DD this morning for a cuppa.
Good wishes to all
It’s so great to see you back on here Baubles? we have all been so worried. All you can do is take each day as it comes.
Good morning everyone from a sunny NI .
Lovely to see you back Baubles xxx
I was going to work in the greenhouse , but it’s too warm in there , in spite of the shading .
The best plants in it are the Cucumbers , I grow the short ones and there are loads on the two plants , no flowers on the tomatoes yet , doubt I’ll get many this year
My son and family were in London over the weekend , it was a booking to go to see the Harry Potter thing , they thoroughly enjoyed it . They managed to see a bit of the pageant, but had to get to Gatwick for their flight , only a short delay , I was glad to see them home safely
Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 11° and there's some blue sky out there. As Marydoll said, the forecast is good and warm. Baubles how lovely to see you back!! Lots of virtual hugs to you. Scentia not the trip to Milan you would have wanted!
Yesterday dd and the boys and I went to town. Dgs1 for a haircut and then a coffee and cake as a treat. Dgs1 has hot chocolate. He wasn't too happy getting his hair cut but the barber was really good with him. Back home, he lay up on the couch as he was tired. It's not surprising as he runs around most of the time at nursery in the garden.
Today should be a nice quiet day for me. I'll nip to Aldi for bread and just potter in the garden. Have a good day all.
Baubles. Delighted to hear from you. Relax and enjoy being home as it will take a little while to get all your energy back to where you want it to be.
The weather is breezy but dry here. A good day to clean windows but then again maybe not.
Good morning Mick and all. It’s sunny and bright in my corner of Lancashire, currently 14°C.
Not much on the agenda for today. I have a zoom meeting after lunch and will probably go for a walk after that.
I hope everyone has a good day today whatever you’re doing.
It’s
Good morning all and especially Baubles.
A lovely bright start here in N. Bucks.
scentia glad your DH is ok. You must have been very lucky to get the flights with all the problems at the moment.
A quick trip to Costco and a garden centre this morning and if the weather stays we will potter in the garden this afternoon.
Wishing all a good day.
Oh Baubles how lovely to see you here! That’s made my day
Sending you big gentle hugs ❤️❤️
Good morning Mick and all. It's another sunny day on the Angus coast, but with the breeze coming out of Siberia I don't think we'll reach your 20° Marydoll!
Glad everyone's doing away fine today - particularly you Mick with your repaired glasses and doctor's appointment. Scentia what a weekend you had! I can understand how worried you'll be while hubby's away on his holiday! And a happy 'last day of holiday' to the wanderers too.
I had a little chuckle as well at the face lift comment dragonfly - as if you need one! What did you hit them with?
Nothing much on today, so I must get on and do it. Have a good day all x
I am so delighted to see you posting, Baubles. x
Our church ran out of candles!
It's sunny at last we are having gc they go back to school tomorrow it's thrown out plans of going to play gym but weather too nice to be inside.
Good morning all from South Lanarkshire
I’m so very glad to be back. I’m getting stronger every day but still tire very easily so just now I’m taking things slowly and it’s very much one day at a time.
My sincerest thanks to everyone who has prayed for me or thought of me since I was taken ill so suddenly.
Apologies for not having read the posts yet.
Carpe diem indeed.
Good morning Mick and everyone from grey Carlisle where we may have rain on the way...or not! Hard to tell, brightness comes and goes. It stayed dry yesterday so I did a little in the garden. The blackbirds have discovered my bark mulch hides lots of tasty little creatures and are busy scattering it in all directions to get at them so a bit of tidying up is necessary on my part.
Today I have a grocery delivery, more housework, more admin. Life seems to require more time spent on the latter these days! I changed my fuel tariff yesterday to a fixed price one, I'm betting on prices continuing to go up but it's a difficult decision when even the experts seem wary of giving advice.
How worrying for you Scentia, I hope your DH relaxes and enjoys a good trip.
Wishing you all a pleasant and sunny day, too much grey about everywhere at the moment!
